Can still get the chevron if you prefer with the larger 507c model or the the enclosed 509. I like the whole acss concept, and this red dot dot is great. I wanted to like the chevron, but my eyes are messed up so when I started using it, all I saw was multiple chevrons stacked up on top of each and some to the side, which basically made the icon look blurry. I checked that the emitter wasn't malfunctioning, but it ended up just being my poor vision. So I sent the chevron model back. I prefer the dot of the 507k since my eyes distort other dots too but it's not as noticeable if you just have a smaller-moa dot. Plus I would expect that the larger full circle on the chevron models eats the battery life faster than just having the dashed circle on the 507k, which is the other reason why I prefer the 507k. I just wish they made an enclosed EPS or EPS Carry sized red dot that has the same 507k acss large dashed circle and small dot. That would be a winner for sure. They have people at primary arms making new red dots involving this acss system, some different footprints options released end of last year/start of this year.
From my understanding, the simple movements of day to day life shouldn't trigger it, but the quick movement as you draw will. I've been EDC a shake awake red dot for a few years now and I do not find myself having to change batteries often. The one thing I notice drains it the most is being in a outside waistband holster during the cold winters we experience here in Kansas.

For EDC, will the "shake and wake" feature drain the battery due to simple movements in the holster?

My large circle is not visible. It was working well when I recieved last week. Approximately 1 hour on the sight.
