Sometimes I double cleanse but I found that when I just use oil based cleanser on my face then wash off it's enough and good for my skin since I have dry skin and don't use make-up except tinted sunscreen. Day time I usually wash off my face with only water.
My skin was damaged by double cleansing early this year. Im still in the process of repairing my skin barrier. So yeah, do not believe the hype! You don't need to double cleanse.
thank you for your emphasis on different skin types! not everybody needs to double-cleanse, BUT if it works for your skin and with the amount of makeup you use, then well and good! 😊 thanks again for sharing such information in a super fun way, just like listening to an older sister! 💖

Hi I have been watching your videos and they are so helpful! I wanted to know if you can talk about some vitamin C's like Goodal, Innisfree, numbuzin, primera, and other K-beauty brand vitamin C's and which one fades dark spots well and brightens well. If you can could you recommend a vitamin c serum for each skin type at the end it would be super helpful. Thank you CYoung !!! 🌟🌟💕💕
Omg I love your explanation of the cleansing balm 😂❤ as always, your videos are so educational! Thank you for blessing us with all the amazing beauty knowledge. ❤❤
Ok, I understand that some ppl’s skin may not handle double cleansing. However if you use a water/sweat resistance sunscreen everyday, the proper amount and also reapply, there’s no way you can get it off without double cleansing.
You'll get by with just a cleansing oil to do the job (even with sunscreen) and you can always use cleansing oil twice. First on dry skin and 2nd time just a quick rinse on wet skin and then rinse with water. Done. Essence or toner or serum next and a GOOD moisturiser, your skin will thank you. I discussed about double cleansing's harms already back in 2016 on a Korean beauty web site with a couple of people. People are waking up like "hey... my skin feels much better than with all that rigorous washing!" It really isn't for everyone and I just think no one should do it.. of course people do what they want but it's just crazy to think you should wash your delicate facial skin that much. And many people follow and do what the social media influencers are telling them. It makes me dizzy every time I hear about double cleansing with oil and then gel or foam from those influencers who mostly are young people themselves as well. Especially teens will be fooled and in my opinion today's young use waaaay too much skincare products in general and that can end up with sensitivities or activate chronic skin problems. I personally use cleansing milk in the morning and cleansing oil in the evening. I don't use a lot of makeup but even if I did use foundation during the day, I'll only use cleansing oil once in the evening. In the summer, if it was humid and hot I may do the cleansing oil twice. I've sensitive (rosacea-prone) combination skin that leans easily to more dry and suffer from dehydration at times. I used to be the double cleansing junkie when I was in my 20's (now 33) but I think that really did havoc on my skin and sensitised it. A high quality cleansing oil will remove sunscreen weather it was chemical or mineral. Another thing that gives me the creeps is that a lot of people seem to think that it's OK to exfoliate your skin every week and even do it 2-3 times. O.M.G. Skin barrier screaming red. You don't really need exfoliating more than every 10 days or so 'cause the skin's regeneration cycle is 28 days. If you're someone who's really oily, then maybe a bit more, it's also really about finding the personal balance but I wouldn't exfoliate every week. Exfoliating too much can also cause more harm, more oily skin and broken skin barrier which can again end up increasing oil production and clogging of pores or pimples from the constant friction and stress skin has to go through. I mean, even doctors are worried about the habits social media teaches people to do and then they take it as facts.... And I mean, it would be useful for many to really consider it through should they double cleanse and not feel like they SHOULD just because someone on the web or beauty edit tells so, especially in the case with youngsters :D CYoung is at least a professional and she makes useful videos and they're honest and she has a lot of experience. : )
Super glad you mentioned the Yam root milk cleanser, I've been eyeing it 'cause I'm out of the Make Pr:em and I can't get it from Finland anymore, such a shame because it was really good. Now I've courage to try the Yam root one :D xD
Thank you so much! I REALLY needed this video right now, like you I have dry sensitive skin and in this days my skin is getting tight after the second cleanser. I'll stop for a while to see if it gets better ❤
Everything comes off with cleansing oil if you massage it in carefully and emulsify well with water. If i use cleansing milk i like to wipe it off with a cotton pad before rinsing because by doing so i boosts its cleansing ability.
👍 That’s what the pros are doing when I go to facial but bit burdensome for only removing sunscreen so I just use my hands. But def worth it if you want deep cleansing. Tysm for sharing love🫶🏼💕
I have never doubled cleansed before last year. I tried it, but my skin got tight, red and irritated….. so I stopped….. Double cleansing is not for my skin..

Hiii. I just came across your videos and I can say I really like your content and I feel like you are going to help me a lot with my skin care routine! I trust a lot what you say so I wonder if you could talk about dark circles? I have been struggling a lot and I dont trust to put products blindly. Could you review some?
I don't double cleanse. My skin is sensitive and I thought double cleansing was crazy so i NEVER tried it. When i tell people i dont double cleanse they're shocked. Every week i exfoliate, my skin is smooth and healthy. Double cleansing works for some people, some people it doesn't. It's totally okay if you don't, if it works for you, do what you do.
Hi! I just had a quick question! 🙋♀️ I am taking Accutane, a powerful drug that removes acne. My skin is very sensitive and red. I always wear sunscreen and light eye makeup, and I use micellar water and a gentle cleanser to remove it. Recently I want to try using the House of Hur serum blush, but I am not sure how to remove everything.😅 How can I improve my cleansing routine? Thank you!!! ❤❤❤
Hello love💕 so you’re double cleansing with 1) Micellar water 2) cleanser right now. Since you’re sensitive skin, oil can be bit too much so start using only cleansing milk. Rinse it 30 times and don’t use second cleanser.
I double cleanse as I tend to wear a lot of makeup and spf and oil cleansers break me out. My skin is dry and foam cleansers make me dryer. I have tried so many from Augustinus Bader to drugstore & my turnaround came with the very affordable Nivea Hydramine line. This HYDRAMINE restores/ retains skin’s moisture level and makes my skin super smooth, soft, hydrated and I no longer suffer from little bumps/ pimples that I used to get. The range is very limited here in the UK they do a gentle cream face wash for dry skin( I use) a gel for normal/ combo skin and they do a cream make up remover as a first step. It’s cheap and has worked wonders for my skin and has totally restored my ph balance. It may not work for everyone but definitely helped me.
Hi CYoung! I like my oil cleanser. Would you do how to do Korean make up? I know you put blush differently from American make up artists. I got myself a traditional Korean dress(Hanbok). I’m also learning Korean. I’m coming to Thanksgiving potluck as Korean lady. Thanks CYoung!
When I use sunscreen I always double cleanse, but once I didn't do it and I noticed that my skin was too dry. Everyone has a different skin type and a different climate, you need to check what suits you.
Hello love💕 Great question! Some products are written on the packaging for brands that come with two version such as Manyo and Bring green. Or the product that says it's for oily skin is often alkaline. Or just Google it then at least if alkaline, brand put it in description.😊
Hi Cyoung, would you mind helping me? I have combination skin, with sebaceous filaments on my nose. Right now it's a bit dehydrated and sometimes it's sensitive. I've been double cleansing since August last year, first I tried the anua's oil cleanser + cerave's foaming cleanser but it left my skin feeling tight, now I'm using micellar water from bioderma along with the cerave cleansing still. I want to try oil cleansers again, just the oil cleanser. For me, the manyo cleanser isn't really available but I can find the Ginseng from beauty of joseon (I'm inclined to test this one the most), the anua, haluhalu and the skin1004. Big big text but it's okay if you don't leave an answer!!
I have a quick question. I have dry skin but also some minimal blackheads around my face and white heads on my nose and T zone. But I recently found that the Milk cleanser is best because it is for sensitive skin like me. But I also read it isn’t good for cleaning your pores good so it won’t help rid of white heads and black heads?
Hello love 💕 Choosing the Right Cleanser for Blackhead Removal 1. Oil cleansers are the most effective for blackhead removal. • I have dry skin but noticeable blackheads and whiteheads, so I use oil cleansers most frequently. 2. If you have sensitive skin, oil cleansers may not be suitable. • In that case, milk cleansers are a second-best option, though they are not as effective as oil. 3. If your skin is not too sensitive, I recommend using oil at least on the T-zone. • Using oil cleanser selectively can still help remove blackheads effectively.
Could you please Give me your recomendations for clean may skin for a mature skin I’m 59 normal to dry skin !!! Love your videos saludos desde MEXICO !!!!
Thank you for your video. When I only use an oil cleanser or balm and rinse it off, there remains a residue which I don't like. Yes, I splash a lot. How can I remove that oil cleanser without a second cleanser?
I really enjoyed watching your brutal channel, CYoung. I'm in my late 40s, with sensitive, dry with bumps & red skin esp. On both cheeks & forehead. How can I repair my skin barrier without breaking my wallet. I stopped double cleanse after watching your video. Thank you & appreciate your advice!
Great baby step love💕 for your mature & dry skin, please start from Set 3. I made skincare routine depending on your skin type. Try from toner and moisturizer from Set 3😊 ruclips.net/video/EljIknK3R8E/видео.htmlsi=L6rVl8-tudLsdHWc
@CYounginyou Thank you CYoung ❤️... Will try Set 3, I've got the toner & ampoule. The moisturizer isn't easy to get in my country, can I use Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream or Illiyoon Ceramides Ato Cream?
My next buy is the instree milk cleanser. What your thought on a good hydrating moisturisers for mature skin? I'm not sure the instree yam is hydrating enough....
Do you wear makeup? If you do, using the milk cleanser might not be enough to effectively remove your makeup. If you don’t wear makeup and just sunscreen, then i find using the cleansing milk is enough and super hydrating to my skin ❤.
I recently used my cleanser which contains milk and panthenol and after using it, I applied my new facial cream but I had a reaction on my face. I still don't know if it was my cleanser who made it because I tested the facial cream before applying it on my face and I didn't have any reaction. 😢 So I'm looking for a new cleanser that doesn't have a reaction to my new facial cream which contains acids 😢 btw i have dry sensitive skin... Should I get micellar water? Or an oil cleanser?
Hmm sorry about milk made u breaking out😭 but careful cos milk is better for sensitive skin….. if you do makeup so need more deep cleansing, give a shot to oil, otherwise very very gently remove with micellar water.💕
even when I use a oil cleanser. before that I still use a eyes mascara makeup remover& micella water because of my sensitive eyes. but yes, I always thought that only oil cleanser is enough, no need another cleanser afterward😅
I find cleansing oils/balms less stripping than water based cleansers. You could always try a milk cleanser as she recommended for very dry/sensitive skin.
I have dry dehydrated very sensitive skin and Roundlab dokdo foam cleanser is the game changer for me. I don’t do double cleansing. As for oil cleanser, I still haven’t found one that is suitable for my skin yet. So, I can’t use physical sunscreen and heavy makeup cuz dokdo foam cleanser can’t take them off. I only use gentle chemical, hybrid sunscreens and bb cream that are easy to take off with foam cleanser.
Can you do a review of is dr. althea - 345 relief cream pls 🥺 i wanted to sooth my acne and really damage skin barrier and i thought this mught help? I want to know before purchasing it since i dont want to waste my money in a product that might not be wirth it 🥺🥺
If iam using foam cleanser at night after wearing and reapplying sunscreen 2-3 times a day, is it enough or do i need double cleanse? Is the milk cleanser also enough for night time sunscreen layers wash off?
Hello love💕Sunscreen 2-3 layers will never enough with only removing with cleansing foam. Use oil based cleanser please. Or feels too many layers of SPF, wipe off with cleansing wipes and oil cleanse. Done!🫶🏼
Can someone summarize it for me..I didn't quite understand the part how she explained about how to use oil cleansers and balms, like 1 minute 30 seconds i didn't understand the sequence.
First you wash your hands and then dry them and put 2 to three pumps of the clanser into your hands. You rub the oil cleanser into your dry skin for one minute and then you wet your hands and rub it onto your face for 30 seconds to emulsify the cleanser and make it white, and then you wet your hands again and massage for another 30 seconds and then you rinse it off 30 times. For cleansing balm it is the same.
Can u do a video recommendation for ampoules (witch works really) for dry skin and what we really need as priorities For example hydration , reducing pores , brightening Ty 🫶🏼🫧 And toner u can do a video for both ,like two parts ,duo

Hello love 💕
Choosing the Right Cleanser for Blackhead Removal

@SuSu-jm8kt thank you, I barely wear make up. Any good suggestions for a moisturiser?
I love your vídeos, kisses from Brazil 🫶🏻
Awww tysm love💕😍🫶🏼
Can you remove spf with just micellar water?
Not enough cos it goes into pores, so can use sometimes but don’t recommend for everyday cleanser.
Yet to find one cleansing balm or oil cleanser that passes the non comedogenic test. I just use a microfiber cloth with my face wash.
even when I use a oil cleanser. before that I still use a eyes mascara makeup remover& micella water because of my sensitive eyes. but yes, I always thought that only oil cleanser is enough, no need another cleanser afterward😅

Can you give me review about Rice ceramide set
As we bhutanese are big fan of korean product
Hello love💕❤️ Which brand u r talking about?
What do you mean by water cleanse in the morning
Hello love💕 Meaning no need to use cleanser in the morning if you’re dry skin. Just splash water and rinse it, done!
Hello!! What's your opinion on the new cleansing oil (deep clean) from manyo? Is it better than the original? Thank you 😊
Hello love💕I just checked and there’s no new cleansing oil released from Manyo recently. Which one u talking about?
can i use micellar water then gel cleanser?
Would you recommend the ma:nyo cleansing oil or the numbuzin cleansing oil for someone with combo (slightly dry) skin?
Is it okay to use cleansing milk for oily skin because I’m just wearing a sunscreen
Yep no problem!
@ 🥰💕
So do you have to wash your face again for milk cleansing?
Hello love💕 Rinse 30times of milk cleanser and done!
I double cleanse with micellera water 🤷🏾♀️ my face feels wonderful after !

Is cleainsing oil good for dehydrated skin?
Probably not unless you use makeup.

What do you think about the curel gel wash and beauty of Jeoson exfoliator? (I use the pink one)
Is using warm water necessary rinse out oil cleanser? I have access only to cold water.
Hello love!💕 Not too cold, not too warm the best. Both can be too much to skin. Lukewarm water😊
Thanks so much Cyoung. I am going to Korea in two weeks. Which cleanser should i buy? I have dry skin and lot of sebum on nose and cheeks near nose.
Hello love welcome!💕can choose one of it from my recommendations here then!
@@CYounginyou Thanks CYoung !!
Done!🫶🏼
I just bought a foam cleanser 🙃
Can you do a video with all your holy grails for your entire skincare routine
Hello love💕🫶🏼 Great idea! Tysm for suggesting!
Please mention best collagen Korean cream
Can someone summarize it for me..I didn't quite understand the part how she explained about how to use oil cleansers and balms, like 1 minute 30 seconds i didn't understand the sequence.
First you wash your hands and then dry them and put 2 to three pumps of the clanser into your hands. You rub the oil cleanser into your dry skin for one minute and then you wet your hands and rub it onto your face for 30 seconds to emulsify the cleanser and make it white, and then you wet your hands again and massage for another 30 seconds and then you rinse it off 30 times.
For cleansing balm it is the same.
@@MaryamaOmar-o6bomg TWO THUMBS UP! Tysm love for the help❤️💕🫶🏼🥹
@@MaryamaOmar-o6b thank you soo muchhhh ❤
is cleasning foam only enough for physical sunsreen?
No. That’s why I oil cleanse everyday!
Omg I was double cleansing and my acne got SO BAD I assumed it was a bad reaction to the cleanser but can this be caused by over stripping the skin?
Oh no! Try less cleansing love💕 Never too late!
double cleansing is not for everyone
