In nostalgic mood. I remember waiting for this album to come out and begging my mom to let me get the cd. Then I memorized all the lyrics. Still much love in my 30s❤
Spent a week touring UK with Andrew a few years back. This was the song that stood out when he would practice each day.
I love this song. Have since I was 15, and that was 12 years ago. Means even more to me now that I’m a mother.

I love this song. Thought it was just a really cool song when I was younger, but now that I'm older I can unfortunately relate to the lyrics so much more. Especially the line "you marry a role and give up your soul til you break down.' Really feel that now...
I used to listen to this song constantly when I was younger. I still love it now but it has a completely different meaning for me now since my brother committed suicide and some of the lyrics like "she's pulling the trigger", "But soon they'll be coming to rush her away", "The blood stained the carpet", "a life left behind". Yes it wasn't a murder, and it was my brother so I change her to him and so on.. But this song just makes me cry so much. When I was younger I compared it to my life, my depression, my sleepless nights, lyrics like " 17 yrs and all that he gave was a daughter" - to my non-existent relationship with my father. Things were so much simpler then even though I went threw hard times it's nothing like losing a sibling. Lyrics that hit home also were "But I'm so tired of days that feel like the night" and that fits my situation now too.

2018 and this album still means so much to me
This song makes me want to drown in tears for hours.
North was such a monumental album. And this song in particular is so amazing and a trademark of Andrew's style at the time.

Hahahaha oh man. This song really brings me back. The first time I heard this song, when I was very young, I called it "Coffee shop music" and from there on, I gravitated towards my "dark phase" and where I wanted to be deep and listen to coffee shop music haha. What a phase. But from there, I really rediscovered my true music taste and got the hell out of listening to anything that played on the radio that I had degraded myself to listen to. Good times. This is Myspace days music.

I only recently really found this song on my playlist... Whoa- actually reading these lyrics made me way more emotional than I expected!
Man, this song got me through some really tough times and now that I'm actually reading the lyrics I realize I had them right , so fuck those rough times and thank you something corporate you really saved me 💕😇 I probably would of committed suicide if it wasn't for this song "I am a butterfly , and you wouldn't let me die."
