Thank god someone acknowledges the use of Banjo’s dash attack. I use his dash attack to kill at 115% sometimes because it’s hard to react to. Evidently, nobody ever expects it.
and they DI left into the blast zone cus its unexpected. usually ill hold left and up if im getting hit towards the right blast zone and a dash attack hits me, and if banjos hits me and im not ready to di properly, my instinct will have me dying at like 110 instead of 150
My favorite use for dash attack is as a combo starter on the late hitbox, you can get a true f-tilt from 0 - 60ish and after that you can still get a true up air for a long time. Also, at around 85 - 90 on, you can get a true slingshot back air which can kill starting around 110 - 120. I agree that this move is very underappreciated and has serious potential, both as a burst that can kill starting at like 130 raw and as a combo followup/confirm. Oh and further to this point, up air 1 is also extremely underutilized -- the reverse hit is a true confirm for f-air, linking from 0 all the way until 300+, and kills near the legde before 100...
I’ve seen a banjo main beat Dabuz in his streams with Breegal cancel to dash attack or breegal cancel to up b for disadvantage or he used breegal cancel to grab. I think his name is akrasia
Some people like to tech instead of jump so i go for a bregull blaster combo on early% dash attacks and callouts with fair when theyre at high% to get a kill
My favorite use for it would be to aggressively grab grenade with it, the late hit combos to grenade-throw around 35% to 50% ish which combos into ether a neutral air or a f-air for a good 40% combo Question: how do you confirm u-tilt after a full ladder? Been having a hard time not making my combos tech-able
This move is crazy, only 36 frames so it's almost as few frames as fox's dash attack which I think doesn't go as far. There are tilts as slow as this move. Most dash attacks are only slightly less committal than the average smash attack. Yeah, I think I'm going to throw this one in my game plan more. Never thought of it as a kill option.
2:35 the dogs are having their own smash bros.

This genuinely helped me a lot thank you
oh and you analyze banjo to this day, you know how hard it is to find new banjo tech not from like 2-3 years ago? thank you. keep it up!

2:31 Lmao the dogs behind
This one of the reasons why I subscribe and support you. Thank you for all what you do especially the Banjo-Kazooie mains
I'm just love watching the dogs in the back
I was waiting for this video as a non dash attack believer, good stuff, very informative.
at low percents i like using it as a combo starter into ftilt
Ever since the last update I swear I’ve had banjo do a wall jump like 20 times
My use for the dash attack is to hit with the sawerspot and going with a fair or a nair dragdown
Banjo be rollin’ more importantly though the dogs be playin’ 2:26
Love when these kind of videos come out! Thanks for the tips!
For some reason I love his dash attack. I think because it has so little start up
I use dash after I use egg grenade, regular egg, or forward and back throws.
you guides are SOOOOO good man keep it up !!
