This worked perfectly for me. Thanks! Only thing I struggled with was pausing it fast enough to see the characters initial starting positions before they moved. A delay of a second would have helped. 😊
I think whatever designer made The uncommon 3 Boss 6 gear tiers above the rarity cap should be re-evaluated as an employee for the company
I believe Varro has been fixed now. Restart app if you’re still seeing a crazy OP Varro.

Yeah, Isabella for sure, although of that's not an option I'd vote to pay it forward for new players and give calgar shards (top tier in multiple modes while not requiring other unfarmable characters to really get value from).
Since I don't have a G1 Yaz, an alternate strategy for Epic 1 is to use Wrask to kill both guardsmen (after getting shot by the sniper, his active should overkill one and the other will have a 50% chance to flee, so you'll need to roll the dice there). Afterwards, a G1 Volk can kill the sniper and a G1 Abraxas can summon a horror + screamer to finish off the inceptor
common 2:
you could use literally anything else instead and make sure wrask shields archimatos summons with his kill. then they will struggle to kill the summons. then the surviving summon will run into the overwatch attacks and its just cleanup from there.
uncommon 3:
I used haarken instead of abraxas. only killed 1 inceptor with volk active ability, placed haarken above wrask's spot so he could get the shield. killed the guardsman with rotbone and used wrask ability to attack varro. his shield protected everyone from varro's active. then mopped up.
rare 1:
angrax instead of abraxas. used archimatos on the tankiest guy on bottom left, same spot as the video. placed angrax on that high spot 2 hex's away, placed wrask on the spot so he could shield a summon, angrax, and archimatos. then just mopped up.
rare 2: used haarken on the right and angrax on the left. 492/500
rare5:
angrax instead of abraxas position the same as the video. placed angrax in the grass and got a lucky block. archimatos 1-shot the sniper. placed rotbone underneath archimatos. placed haarken 4 hexs up. wrask shielded all except rotbone. then haarken attacks incisus, angrax uses primary ability, archimatos summons on the enemy with the most free hex. then cleanup and dont forget to heal everyone.
epic 1:
wrask on the left, volk in the middle and haarken on the right. wrask uses active ability to kill both guardsman and tank the overwatch hit. gold harken gets a lucky crit on the inceptor, then volk uses primary to kill the sniper. my volk is bronze 1 but primary ability is 24, probably could do it with less.

Although for epic 1 I used archi instead of Haarken, and used his active to summon around and kill the interceptor. No need for a lucky crit.
overall a good guide, but in the future it would be nice a few words about possible substitution for those who lack some characters, it would also solve that you start showing your movement very early and it doesn't give enough time to comfortably pause video and see initial positions of characters.

I absolutely love this video! I usually struggle maxing the common levels, because finding the right combo to avoid any damage is not always that easy! You saved me a lot of time!

I would be very interested in getting quest guide for future quests, as I am bittersweet about this mode.
It is nice rewards (especially the high prob of getting legendary upgrade from the last fight each time) but I also hate having to scrap my head to get all points. I have been consistently skipping compleation to directly go farm the final fight in the past.

Completed the quest! Used both @NoxTempest's and your guidelines, alternating when my characters were not strong enough. I only have rare Yaz, Toth, and Abraxas, as well as Epic Silver2 Volk, so I needed to change a bit more some of the levels, but luckily a Gold1 Rotbone carried healthy characters on the Legendary event.

Yeah this is a really good break down of how to get through it. I had some minor differences in how the enemy moved but once my tokens refresh I’ll give them another go. I also like that you are doing this with just gold and silver units and aren’t doing this with a maxed out roster with everyone unlocked. I’d say Calgar or Celestine as they take so long to unlock and every little helps

On Epic 1, you're definitely intended to use Wrask's active, killing both guardsmen thanks to the sniper. Then you can use Archimatos and Volk instead, or even Archimatos and Yazaghor if you had a gold Yaz.

Uncommon 3 super easy.
Abraxas right side, summons, archi haarken rot and wrask ball up in middle and take shield. Summons eat attacks and then just cleanup. Archi doesnt even need to summon, just a regular attack at left intercessors

I had a rough time with Rare 3, because:
-The buggers would occasionally shoot my poor Angrax for just enough to break the shield.
-I had to have Toth help out on turn 2, finishing off the inceptor Angrax just kept leaving alive (his active is above 26, don't know why the bugger kept surviving).
Once I realised I'd need to deviate from the plan I managed it, because I just could not get the crit luck to kill that inceptor in any of my runs

On Rare 4, it is better to swap Abraxas with Yaz, and then attack with archimatos to initiate another chain of screamers. You can almost clear on that turn, leaving just one guy alive.
Nice I would vote for ahriman shards, clagar already has elite and normal nodes faster to farm. Unlike ahriman.

I would love Neuro shards, its been such a grind of codes and battlepass 2 shard drops to get to 83/130, i'll take any i can get to finish a psychic team! I was hoping to get a bit of world eater synergy for the quest, with wrasks shield helping out macer to stay at a damage bonus, but not dying, but it's very hectic even at early levels. Abraxas is the hero!
Would love to see more videos only using farmable characters. Been playing since day one and still don't have Rotbone among others. Even with guides, never been able to get 100% on any of these quests.
To that end, I really wish these challenges simply provided all the characters rather than only the featured. Would be more fun to get a chance to experience more units I don't have, or simply haven't yet built sufficiently, rather than struggling and hoping the one feature unit can solo the stage for 1*.
FYI the Epic 3 right hand panel has Volk showing yet you used Yazzaghor.
Using yours and other creators content gives a nice variety to try different tactics when some of my chars used are lower on others.
Great content. For feedback, if you could give a second or more to see the initial set up would be helpful. I'm trying to pause the video, but end up having to go back to see the set up.
These quest guides are really usefull and I like them. Aaand I have waited and waited and farmed and farmed for big papa smurf! So my vote is to Calgar
Calgar! I already farmed Exitor RO to legendary, and he is much easier because anyone can use onslaught for his shards.
I just finished using all my tokens & ads, I like how I made it to rare 5 but the only encounter I 100% was Rare 1....by accident no less was running Wrask, Angrax & under leveled Macer

Calgar all the way. Who says Exitor is jjust because he wasn't around for his quest, so probably been playing since a month or two, they don't know the grind it takes to farm 500 shards lol
As per usual I took a run at every stage before looking into any guides. The only common/uncommon stage I got full marks towards on day one was Uncommon 3, no clue how I managed that lol
For the legendary, when you say not to tempt calgar into using his active, how do you do that exactly?
Calgar would be nice since i'm unlocking him atm so it's good to get the codes before the unlock rather than after lol

Thanks for the feedback! There is a limited amount of content that is available to talk about for Tacticus, no one has a turf, and for puzzle-type content - the more options/solutions showcased the better (in my opinion!)
