Matt Cremona has a good series on building a trailer. He built a rig for his so he could rotate it around as he was working on it or painting it, so he could work on or paint the bottom without crawling under it.
@@MAGAMAN yeah I saw his videos too, but metal work, and trailer fabrication weren’t his focus. Not to say that Chucke2009 wasn’t a very diverse channel.
I saw this video years ago which inspired me. At 19 last year I built a similar 20 ft deckover based on your design with 5k torsions axles and added big hinges and a hydraulic cylinder/power unit to the tongue to make it tilt. Thank you for the videos.
Totally with you on the wooden deck. You can go to a small time sawmill and buy a bunch of 20 food oak boards for just a few hundred dollars. I bet when the boards are wet the weight compared to metal is a wash, but once the boards dry they would be much lighter. A lot of people say wood doe snot last very long but if you take care of them the wood can last a while, and after 10 or 12 years you kind of need to repaint the frame of the trailer and put new wiring and stuff one which is easier without a deck.
In Indiana the cops come to your home to inspect the trailer and assign you the VIN since its illegal for highway use until registered. Once that's done you can get it registered and then you can pull it down the road.
Ha ha. I remember watching this build. I really liked the f250 and trailer builds. You had some really beneficial welding videos back in the day. You, Jody, and determination taught me to weld.
Lol I told ya years ago that a wooden floor was my preference. Shit slides on steel way too easily. Scratches and rust. Wood is not as slippery. You can quickly install and remove chock stops with lag bolts or nails as needed. I use trailers on a daily basis.
@@michaeldunn5362 He said things the commies running youtube didn't like. When they told him to shut up, he told them to piss off and things went down hill from there. He gained a lot of respect from me for doing that.

I’ve been hoping you’d re-upload some of your old content. You had the very best trailer build videos on RUclips.

That is awesome!
I'm another of your long-time subs, and I loved watching this as much as I did the first time. Sure am glad your back, I really enjoy watching you!
Glad I found you again. Loved watching your vids
I like how he used stick welding on all the critical points such as the trailer axle mounts, tongue mount, and frame sections 👍
brings me back so much memories...:(
"I'm subscribed to a number of German and Dutch RUclips channels..." 👀
Good ole fashion foreshadowing.

Glad u Back

Steel decks have there place .like if you need to drag a car on it that has no axles on it

Do you have plans and a material list? I'd be happy to buy plans from you.
can you talk about registration proses
what size hot rolled steel are you using there ?
Re-Run...welding oh-boy
They never made it from scratch, no suppliers had any scratch in stock so it was made from steel instead.
I need to buy a 16' dump trailer. Anyone know a good sturdy affordable brand in North Texas?
when did you make this?
Litetally says in the first 30 seconds.....

should be in the title
@@tallswede80 because you're too dumb to watch a video before commenting on it?
...or you can just read it in the first 30 seconds.
@@markg9674 why does it matter when it was made? Do you really need every detail from the video in the title? Are you that dumb?
Good job! Would you like to review our welders? We would like to send you for free, we believe you will like it😁
Yes, I'd be happy too.
chucky. what happened to your old chanel?
RUclips suspended it because he made a pro conservative video so he simply deleted the whole channel.
He shut it down after the New Zealand mass event.
