I recently got the 2025 V60 T6 Essential Edition. To me, this edition is real value for money, unlike the EUR 80k (about?) that you are reviewing which is way out of range for most people. Things that the 2025 Essential Edition doesn't have and cannot be added as option are the electric boot, front seat extension, the black trim (instead of aluminum) and key-less entry. The rest is all there: the standard (!) front seats have plenty of options to find a good seating position (currently leather without additional cost), powerful petrol engine and e-motor (T6), very good standard (!) sound system and the standard (!) 18" rims look really good. BLIS and Auto Pilot can be added as option, which I did. Also added tinted windows, seat heating, tow bar and metallic paint (white). Total amount EUR 56k for a car that is very complete, drives very comfortable and sprints like a puma. The two things that are bad about the V60 2025 are the auto pilot and the speed sign recognition. Auto pilot does not adjust speed for turns / bends that are coming up. And the speed sign recognition is not accurate in the area I live in (Rotterdam area): it's unreliable, cannot be trusted and therefore useless.
What a glorious spec. Love the interior 😍 And we need wagons, so hopefully Volvo won't discontinue them. However when looking at the XC sales figures it would be understandable.
We traded in our MY15.5 V60 cross country and snatched a MY25 V60 Polestar Engineered this past weekend. Absolutely love the T8 and the style. Heard the rumors that Volvo might discontinue the model and glad we got it while we still can.
Great video! I can't wait to finally get in and drive! I'm getting a MY2025 V60 B4 Plus Dark in Vapour Grey as a company car at the end of September. Can you give me a few tips on ‘breaking in’ new Volvos, Thom?
I own a 2022 V90 T6 with amber interior (not tinted windows as well) and just love it. Hope that the rumours of a true XC90 facelift for the MY 2025.5 are true and that the V90 gets an upgrade in terms of battery size and cockpit as well. If that is the case - I will immediately rush to the dealer and place an order.
I've got my V60 T6 ultimate dark my24 for about a month now, love the platinum grey. So happy with it and still amazed how more space it provides compared to my precious V60 D4 2017. Same like you I just prefere this model over the xc and because it's more efficiënt.
@@thom-lovDe D4 had polestar tuning en was idd een hele fijn motor. Het was ook helemaal niet gepland, ik was met m'n vader mee zijn nieuwe XC60 op te halen. En toen begon het toch te kriebelen!
A dealer in Germany told me that they make around € 6k more out of an SUV, and people are willing to pay that. I don’t get it. So the chances are high that this is the last station wagon from Volvo. I just bought the V60 T6 Estate, 2,500 km behind me, it’s wonderful. Ultimate, Dark, Vapour Grey and white leather, it looks stunning and drives exactly like Thom describes: smoothly, cool. But when you want, it turns into a monster and reaches the 100 in below 5 sec. And for us Germanz: 180 is enough. Yes. Sorry.
It's true that dealers earn way more with the XC-EC-line Volvo's compared to S and V. Your V60 sounds like a dream package for the open german roads and autobahn! Would love to take a V60 to southern germany and enjoy the mountain roads ahead, lets hope so in due time. Thanks for the support and safe miles in your Swede!
Super auto!
Understandable. The XC's are just very convenient for many reasons. Though, back in the day that was the estate. Let's hope we keep some estates at least for the coming years in the line-up.
So Thom, the engine and electric motor are the same on t6 and t8 and you COULD tune the t6 to t8. But I cant find any company that will do this in .nl or .be. Any suggestions?
@@thom-lov no no. I meant I only cancelled the air cushioning on my seats😉, now that I know they are 19 and not 20 inch. Sorry was a bad joke I think. My car is already waiting for me here at the volvo dealer with these wheels and motorisation. So no worries!
😱😱 10:58 He's speeding!! 😂. I have a MY24 V60 T6 Recharge myself and I hope that the person that came up with ISA will sleep on a warm pillow on both sides for the rest of their lives.
We all love a station wagon, right? 🙂
Bonus points for not being an SUV!

Sigh wish they still sell the V60 (we only get the V60 CC) in Canada 😢

My favourite car👍🇸🇪 Hanging on to mine for as long as possible... Love the design of the V60.
Thanks for another great video. The V60 is clearly my favorite, I haven't learned to appreciate or feel the need for an SUV

Gelijk ook even die Heico quad-pipes eronder! ;-)
Is it still possible to “special order” a V60 Polestar Engineered MY25?
I always loved an estate more than a SUV. They are more roomy. But our Electric XC40 is ok in every other way

Gone back to the 2020 old badge T6 and twin engine, dropping those boxy “recharge” white ones? I guess warehouse had too many old badge in stock 😅
Full circle, haha! Classic Volvo-decision making...
@@thom-lov probobably for the EX60 the front badge will be squared again… ;-)
I am liking my 2024 V60 polestar. Disappointed with the 3.6 onboard charge. Am hoping the 2027 I anticipate getting has the 6.4.
Can imagine! It's strange that the US spec did not get it..
@@thom-lov Do you think that there will be an upgrade to the 6.4 for US market (perhaps through dealership?)
@@Noll9037 I guess not. Perhaps with a next MY coming but theres probably a reason why the current ones still have this 3.2obc.. I'll ask around!

Rica perhaps. Do note that it will surely mess with your warrenty on the car/battery so perhaps wise to do once it passed those thresholds..
What a shame that this car is not available in Australia....
Shame!! Is they V90 still available there?
We have a MY21 v6 cross country. So just between both of them. Although more v60 than xc60.
Only a b5 and not a phev.
Good one. I really like the V60CC. Bummer they did not make a PHEV version of it though..
I ordered this one with the same wheels, but aren’t they 19 inch in the v60??
Whoops, yep it are 235/40 R19's.
@@thom-lov oefff thanks. I already looked for air cushioning on my seats😂. I will cancel that order now!
But good review by the way. Thanks.

There are two V60 P*'s in my area... $72,000 USD. I really want one and that's just too expensive for any PHEV.
That’s a lot of money surely. Isn’t there a nice used one somewhere in the region? Say a MY23
@@thom-lov Sport wagons are quite rare where I live in the US. Overall wagons are not sought in the US. So used is essentially non-existent.
