For the center backs. CCV needs to move to a better league and grow. Mackenzie has always been confusing to me. I'd love to know who you think should be taking set pieces instead of Puli. Cause I'm not aware of any other player on the first team who takes set pieces with any regularity at club level...
What's the argument against Zack Steffen? Steffen's "mistake" was when he was standing over the ball with the sun in his eyes, and Sadie Mane slidetackled him and scored. I believe it was a slide tackle. The point is he didn't miscontrol a ball or miss a save or shank a pass. He was overly nonchalant and calm as opposed to really making a mistake. That's not a good reason to not start him. He even played well after that mistake in an FC Cup match or something. Steffen is clearly twice as athletic and twice as good on the ball as our other keepers. He's a huge skilled goalkeeper with big feet. Let's not overthink this. We're lucky we have him. Our center backs our bad, unless anyone is gonna back my Andrew Farrell idea. Peru asked Farrell to play for them.
It's not so much one mistake for the national team, its that his form dropped a lot for both club and country. He looked like a man without confidence. Most likely his lack of club minutes with City set him back a level. He's an option if he regains his form. Hopefully a couple years getting regular starts will serve him well.

Disagree with Pete. Soccer is a big mainstream sport in the USA and is considered the 2nd most popular sport behind American football and that's being generous and non-biased. This is because the Premier League is the most watched programs of all time, more than baseball, basketball and hockey nowadays and the Manchester Derby get the highest rating in any TV program. And as usual, Lionel Messi, Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe OFFICIALLY changed the sporting culture in the USA and is no longer a "small" sport if you give respect to the beautiful game because the game is for everybody regardless of age, sex, race or national origin. And soccer is even more popular in the millennial generation as their first sport and the show Ted Lasso in the masses. #ProRelForUSA #TheHaalandEffect
The issue is that the vast majority of those people don't go for the US. Not only that but the pay to play system is a massive thorn on the side of growth of the players.

he needs to bring urgency. players who know what urgency looks like on the field. players who keep the ball under pressure and find the next pass. players crumbled under greg. weak mentality
I dont think you can say the coach/fans need to hold players more accountable when you’re the same guy saying Gio should be starting after being benched by every coach he has had and not getting minutes now lol
Gio should be held accountable for how he plays with the National Team. No international coach needs to acquiesce to the rating some other coach gives to a player, especially when the international coach has to consider the player pool they have on the international team. Gio may not be a good fit with Dortmund or be able to outshine the Dortmund players ahead of him, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t fit into the USMNT system or isn’t the top of the heap within it. This new coach has already said that you have to be playing fairly regularly at your club to rate with him, but the simple eye test suffices. The USMNT is markedly better with Gio on the field, especially in the midfield, most notably the 10. I don’t care how many minutes Mussah or Aaronson or de la Torre or Tillman or even McKinney get at club, besides Adams or Cordoso being needed at the 6 for other reasons, Gio is the most important midfielder we have and his unique creativity shows any time he’s wearing the red, white and blue. Maybe once the winger drive and kick a blind, fingers-crossed cross into the middle offense is gone with this new coach, Gio won’t be the only player creating opportunities up the middle, but until then…
So Pete - you have your favorites sitting at your RUclips desk. Laughable. Repeat after me: this is not a golden generation! Pulisic is not going to take us higher. He can’t compete physically and teams know it. I trust Poch will assess players based on who shows up and earns……not the past. This team has won nothing that matters! Dual nationals? Poch will help. The Federation needs to be completely liberated from MLS and the billionaires who donate for control like Blank! MLS kills the dual nationals coming to the US!
This accountability argument is really lame & weak, especially coming from some fan hiding behind a screen. It's pathetic. Any fan who can't play who thinks their job is to toughen up the team by off-base & insulting comments is a tool. You're a fan. The players and the federation and the coach don't owe you anything. Talking about the players like they work for you is a bad look. It lacks self-awareness, and it's obnoxious. You're like the clones who call into the Jim Rome show.
Then explain why our No.1 GK is telling the press that “I see no problem with the direction this team is heading” right after we got eliminated from the Copa America? And why is Weah allowed to stay with the team and watch the final game after his act of indiscipline put his team in a bad position? Even the pundits and ex-players are questioning how comfortable things are in the dressing room. Reeks of “zero accountability” to me.
I think the criticisms are fair regardless of who they come from. Fans of any sport are certainly entitled to any opinions they want. Going after fans is what is pathetic.

Maybe once the winger drive and kick a blind, fingers-crossed cross into the middle offense is gone with this new coach, Gio won’t be the only player creating opportunities up the middle, but until then…
It’s not “MauriZio”, it’s “Mauricio” get real dude and don’t disrespect our first Hispanic coach.
USMNT fans: we want accountability... except for players in Europe and only for MLS players.
I do wish Americans would learn how to say Pulisic's name. He's Croatian, not American.
Doesn’t @tacticalmanagertv own the 7 Things?!?!?
HTC Sevens does
MLS is an absolute cancer. I think it is an irredeemable obstacle, can't be saved, and must be replaced with something better.
MLS academies are doing wonders for us though
I don’t like this leadership counsel or term , sounds like a cabal
So Pete - you have your favorites sitting at your RUclips desk. Laughable. Repeat after me: this is not a golden generation!
Pulisic is not going to take us higher. He can’t compete physically and teams know it. I trust Poch will assess players based on who shows up and earns……not the past. This team has won nothing that matters!
Dual nationals? Poch will help. The Federation needs to be completely liberated from MLS and the billionaires who donate for control like Blank! MLS kills the dual nationals coming to the US!
Ngl the Berhalter cult reminds me of the Trump cult lol
God i hope this guy doesn't get hired. We need an American coach, not him. Just give the spot to Mikey Varas.
Lol stop dumbass
Mickey varas están malo como Greg Berhalter se farreo la posibilidad de ser campeón en Argentina
They do work for him/us. There would be no game without fans.
Reeks of “zero accountability” to me.
can't decide if you're a noob or a bot.....
I think the criticisms are fair regardless of who they come from. Fans of any sport are certainly entitled to any opinions they want. Going after fans is what is pathetic.
Not this dude again lol
Even though poch can you speak Spanish? I think he can pick up the English language pretty quickly.
