      @@AnnaAlverio To make the video. They don't want to deal with the crap that is most pallets. So I'm willing to bet he made it himself for use on this video.

      @pattivega7253 you dont though. you get normal pallets, beat up and damaged pallets. (these arent; these he built for the video since NO pallet looks this way, even out of the factory)

    I have yet to find a pallet that pristine. The ones I find are usually half broken & separating the boards is a nightmare.

      came here to say this, glad im not the only one pissed off by it but...
      a pallet made for the video is still a pallet...
      he never said it was a salvaged pallet.
      he said "demonstration of how old, unused materials can be repurposed"
      i mean, getting really semantical here but really all he did was skip the part where he milled the old lumber into new stock...
      i suppose the forklift forks could get in on all four sides, even though its not truly a 4-way pallet...
      be fair to him though, even though i never saw his face you can see the skin of his elbows, he's no older than 25 id bet every dollar i own. hes a kid, and he's playing with a cool idea trying to get youtube famous.
      and its working i think...technically

      On rare occasions I have to buy them. They're like $3-4 for grade A's $2 for B's. An untreated 2x4x8 is almost $4 dollars and PT almost $6 at the box stores. I think it's a pretty good deal. Definitely not finding like this all the time. I did get a sweet one today.

    Not included was the making of the pallet to begin with. 🤨 I want to believe this is a good idea, in theory… but I don’t think it’s supposed to swing. You can tell he realized how unstable it still was and tried to save it by showing him “swinging” it a whole two inches as though it’s supposed to do that 😆

    • @oldfart269
      @oldfart269 6 месяцев назад

      It's supposed to swing, but not the way that one was built! It almost fell in on itself when he got up. Pallets are nice for the seats, but the frame should have been built sturdier. Better get some bushings at those swinging joints, or replace a lot of broken screws.

    that is 100% NOT an old / discarded / junk pallet. I worked for a company that purchased pallets at a cost of $10-20 EACH... they purchased in bulk. I know a brand new pallet when I see it. Even the nails in your pallet are new... you either built this pallet, stole this pallet, or begged an employer for a couple... this is definitely not an old thrown away pallet...
