Amazing video , finally got some and already laid eggs such a fun fish to keep. A thing for anyone who doesn't have such liquid food available anywhere cook an egg till the yolk is solid get some of that yolk in a cup mash and mix it in aquarium water and then take some of that cloudy water with a syringe and feed that to ur fry a really good alternative cheap simple , feed often and in small doses🙂

this is THE BEST video that I happen to watch whenever I see a new miracle cherry life in my tank and want to see how old he/she is 😁Thank you VERY MUCH for making this video and putting it out 👏👏👏👏👏👏 amazing job!
The females in my tank are getting plump so I figured they are carrying eggs, spawning and chasing behavior has set in too. I have a lot of fish in the tank that would love to snack on eggs, maybe a few will survive in hidden spots. Very few eggs of the skirt tetras survived, about three , so I got three skirt tetra babies out of that.
These are the nano fish I want to buy, they're so cute. I've seen egg yolks are also good for them. You took good care of the fry from beginning to end and I'm wondering how many survived. Thank you for sharing.
whats the easiest way to get this going? high protein diet? put 2 in the breeder box and cross fingers? I got a few long tail cherrys and want more but the LFS has been out for a long time.
Hello. My cherries mate everyday. I try and put them in a breeder box when I can catch them. In the breeder box, there are also a lot of critters like worms, and cyclops copepods. Are these critters harmful to the eggs?
Greetings from US...great video! I am a beginner in the hobby and was looking for a detailed account of the spawning process after I saw my cherry's showing behavior yesterday. They are in a 10 gallon tank - 1 male, 3 female- with a male betta. I am pretty sure the eggs are gone (or I don't know what they look like yet), but there is still one female that is fat (aka full of eggs) so I was going to try and take her and the male out and see what happens...any tips? Thanks again for quality content...loved the music too!
Not really tip but If you decide to go same way I did just make sure the mesh or holes in the container are small enough. Fry are very very small, almost invisible :)
Hi I've not had cherry barbs before, I put the female in a breeding tank as looked pregnant, I have 4 males, not sure if she paired, so would I need to put her in main tank and see if she pairs up then put them both in breeder
That male barb is astonishing, very very bright colours... I hope mine gets that beautiful as well. As for the food you gave them in the first two weeks, you said liquid food in the video, what was that exactly? I'm having a hard time feeding the babies cus they're so smol
Does anybody know how many weeks does it take males to get their red coloring? I have 4, 50 days old fry and one of them is kind of smaller, I was wondering if its going to be a male, but no coloration appeared yet.
@@charlestonreikiwellbe-ingc4611 In my experience, it took a very long time. almost until they are 6 months old they all looked like females. They developed a very faint pink colour at around that time and it turns out I only had 1 female in the bunch. Having female fish is much harder, mother needs to be in a 23C (or cooler but not warmer) environment for a whole season before laying eggs if you want more female fish.
A wonderful video. spectacular, a real pleasure to see you. My name is Alex, I have a Spanish-speaking aquarium channel and I would love to be able to put a piece of your video in a new project that I am going to do talking about reproductions, Of course your name would always be reflected in the video and also I would leave the link to your channel in the video description. I watched this vid a dozen times its the best😎
What wonderful care you took of them, and I loved the DIY big breeder box 😄 Thank you for such a well put-together video 👍
Glad to hear you like it 🐟😀

Awesome video thanks for taking the time to post it!
Thanks, I really enjoyed doing this video :)
Great video. Cherry barbs became a quick favorite of mine after they started multiplying in my tank. They are so active and fun to watch.
Thank you for such a detailed and well instructed video. Breeding cherry barbs is something that I definitely want to accomplish.
That male is super red, nice quality
That’s amazing!!!! I’ve had my cherry in a very crowded tank so they don’t spawn maybe I’ll put them in a breeding tank after watching that!
It was really interesting to watch from eggs till they grew up. Nice tips how to clean the breeding tank.
Definitely a project I got to take on ar some point! Thank you for sharing :)
Nice quality and alot of valuable knowledge! Thanks alot from Poland.

Hi, google "liquid food for fry" or "liquifry food for egglayers". It consists of minute particles suspended in the liquid.
@@PikeStrikeIreland Thank you so much!
How much died off did you get at each stage?

I was hoping to learn this also, that’s why I watched the video! Lots of good information, but never did get to the part that I was watching it for.

I didn't think that mating could take place even in a small space like in the delivery room. I'll try it too then
My rosy barb are displaying same behaviour I want to try some breeding my only question is what food u feed to the fry
Would you be willing to sell some of your males? They're absolutely beautiful
Thanks for saying that, unfortunately I have only few left as I gave a lot of barbs to my friends.
@@PikeStrikeIreland okay thank you anyways! If you breed them again please let me know I would LOVE to buy some :))
Good stuff. I'm about to give it a go myself. Are the low survival rates common?
It makes me wonder too, hopefully someone more experienced will answer.
What is the water temperature?
Amazing video !
Great video! 👍

What are the water parameters? What did you feed them in the beginning?

Which liquid food you gave
Hi, I put information in the description now.
How do you find this music?

Do the eggs feel hard?
Never touched it and never ate 😉👍
What are you gave them for their first food
