In this guide I gonna tell you everything you need to know to start with keeping Sulawesi Cardinal shrimps or also called Caridina Dennerli or "White Gloves".
They are not easy to keep at all but with some experience in shrimp keeping and the tips from this guide it is definitely feasible for everyone.

nice shrimp very hard worck
Thank you for watching and your comment my friend! Yes they are so beautiful!
Hello, I’m also a Sulawesi shrimp keeper. First of all, I would like to say this is a very great and informative vid for beginner but I believe i have some information you might want to add to the video
In my experience(and my friend’s also), for filtration, there are 2 best ways for Sulawesi shrimps. The first one is you only need to use sponge filter but this way requires at least 1-2 good oxygen pump(low noise and can create strong air flow). You can have a lot of algae and biofilm still stick in your tank for the shrimp to munch. The second way is an outside filter and a sponge filter. The good side of this set up is you can have nice water flow which not only can speed up filtration process(for shrimp waste) but also create a lot of oxygen in the water. The only downside of this way is a lot of biofilm and algae maybe all drag into your filter and stuck there (especially when you feed Sulawesi bacteria AE).
For food for shrimp, for me, any kind of good and high quality fish food is fine for shrimp but for white socks Sulawesi shrimp, they don’t really eat much so I rarely feed them. But I do see them prefer to munch boiled spinach than algae
You can also add tanin and humic acid(black water)to increase shrimp survival rate. I notice they breed more when my tank has black water added in.
For water parameters and water condition, for easy-to-keep Sulawesi shrimp like galaxy, white socks, (pink) boxer, white orchid, I successfully keep them with Sulawesi shrimp 7.5 with RO water. For harder species, they need Sulawesi shrimp 8.5 in order to breed
Thank you mate for all the detailled information. This is also really good feedback. I will try some of your hints in my tank. And I will also keep your infomation in mind for a updated future version of the guide.

Thank you!Cool I wish you much success. I guess the Cardinal Shrimp is a good one to start and relatively easy to get. Or which one is your favourite?
@@PTAquaVision-mj3yp Red fancy tiger are my favorite, till now. 😀
Great video about sulawesi shrimp. I love it ❤
Thank you!😀 Your channel once inspired and encouraged me to start with Sulawesi shrimp.☺️
@PTAquaVision-mj3yp thanks! You have such a great video. I'm a new sub going to follow you. I'm going to set up another sulawesi tank soon, trying some newer methods :) keep up the great work
Cool thank you!😊Beginning with youtube is really hard. I am looking forward to your new videos with the new methods.
Hi, what sand is that? It's gorgeous. Thank you.
Hey dude, the dark sand is called JBL Sansibar dark!
Nice🎉
What type of sand do you use/recommend? thank you
I would recommend using a thin layer of fine sand. I used JBL Sansibar dark but any other fine sand will also work. Regards
Thank you
@@PTAquaVision-mj3yp Vielen Dank Philipp für deine Hilfe!
Ja gerne! Viel Erfolg!😉

Do you add any ph buffer to raise the water ph? I use co2 with 8.5 Sulawesi like you recommended and it only has ph of 7.4 ish
Hey I have never used a ph buffer. Yes this normal that the 8,5 is not reached in my opinion. There are a lot of processes in the tank which can lower the PH.Are you using a co2 device or a soda stream? Are you keeping caridina dennerli?for them the ph should be fine.
I am using soda stream. I have just started setting up tank (still going through cycling) and yes I intend to keep caridina dennerli. Thank you for your reply
This is also what the supplier says that the ph 8,5 is normally not reached in the tank due to biological processes in the tank. The 8,5 refers to the water you mix before you fill it in the tank. For the cardina dennerli 7.4 should be fine. For this species the 7.5 salt can also be used.
Thank you very much for the reply
Do you keep the aquarium light on 24/7?
During the cycling phase the light was on for approx 18 hours. Meanwhile I keep it on for 12 hours a day.
Thanks for the video!
I have a dedicated 30L cube.
With sulewasi wite sock 🧦.
I have got two times shrimplets. But I also had 5 elephant/rabbit snails.
That were probably a tad to many when they are messy.
I guess they were the reason why my No3 were higher than desired at 25ppm.
I have given them away but kept some offsprings from them.
What is the preferred No3 levels???🤔
I am able to lower it now but are not sure when it is good enough.😅
dimensions of your cube? how much salt to mix?
I use a 60l cube. I made short cinematic video about my cube. Check out my channel! Regarding the salt I follow the instruction. For 20l RO water it is a slightly heaped spoon.

Haha I already asked myself if anyone would notice it.☺️ Respect well listened!👍 I only realised when the video was already uploaded. 😊
Mach selber Garnelen Content.
