Dejan, I have 10 years on you and I'm doing the exact same thing right now. I'm binging on my angel pie, Angelina, tonight. My soul is very heavy tonight and she's soothing me. All the way from Cape Town, South Africa.
In a recent interview Angelina's long-time guitarist, Egil Clausen, said when Angelina wanted to record a song like this for her YT channel, usually she didn't have a particular song in mind. They would each suggest songs until they agreed on one they both knew. Then Egil would go over the chord changes while Angelina would get the lyrics on her phone. They would start the song & once she starts singing he just follows her wherever she goes &, I must say, he does it beautifully. He said they always record the 1st time she sings it because often "it's magic" (BTW, that's the name of her 2018 album). Sometimes they have to do a 2nd take & grandma Mery is always there to do the recording. So this was either the 1st or 2nd time they performed this together while winging it. She sings it as she feels it, not in a set pattern & never the same way twice. This girl is amazing. Did I mention she was 11 for this (5th grader?) She is currently 15.
Angelina has gifted us so many moving performances, this one resonates with me, it especially comforting during the pandemic. If Angelina never performed again, I would have a lifetimes supply of beautiful songs. As it happens, it looks like there will be much more to come, especially in 2023 with her first album with Republic Records due in the fall. I will do my utmost to attend as many live concerts as I can, where ever they are, to share magical moments with my fellow Angels... I would like to give a special shout out to Mery Zamani (who was probably filming this video), grandma helped to nurture Angelina, to give her inspiration and love.
6/19/21... my first time hearing of Angelina Jordan . I usually watch AGT but in 2020 watching television wasn't exactly at the top of my to~do lists . I was introduced to Angelina through a RUclips reaction channel "The Rob Squad Reactions" and they played Angelina's version of "I Put A Spell On You" about two hours ago and I have played about ten of her songs now. I know she is still very young but as soon as she tours amphitheater's and stadiums I am going to see her Live performance... she is incredibly gifted and I like her style so much.

Angelina shows her musical genius. She knows how to go into the soul of the song and bring it out for us to enjoy. The subtle nuances she can do are amazing. Listen to how she sings “When the evening shadows and the stars appear”, I love the way she does that. And how she changes tone in “But I would never do you ... wrong” sticks in my memory and I’d like to hear it again. Finally, if you’ve read this far, I’d also like to say that Angelina shows that artistic perfection doesn’t need technical perfection. The small hesitation in “Though winds of change ..” actually worked like an attraction for me. Like a beauty spot: not needed, but now that it’s there, even better! Bravo also to Egil Clausen for beautiful guitar play, perfectly in tune with Angelina and to convey the love of this song.
