Wise words, Tina - I lost a lot of my teenage years through lack of confidence and only came to my own in my 30s.

Thank you Tina, for sharing a glimpse into your past. I stopped being a people pleaser in my 30's and the first thing I noticed was how many 'friends' and 'family' just dropped off. Now I have people in my life I truly value and ones who truly value me :)

I love the one about not being afraid to make mistakes !! I teach math and I always say … if you make a mistake what is the worse that will happen ?

Yes! Experiment. Play. If something doesn't work out, laugh, dust yourself off, and try something new!

Wow, “the many images of myself”, that is so true when we are people pleasers. I needed to hear that truth. Thank you Tina! Also, yes please do more videos about the “good kid”.

I'm glad this resonated with you, and sad at the same time. If that makes sense? It can take a lot of time and reflection to figure out what parts of those images are our true selves.

Oddly, I was good at saying "no" until my late 40s. Then my kids were all raised, and now I guess I feel, without them or a job to be there for, guilty when I say "no." I'm always afraid of disappointing someone. I need to work on this!

@nancyannesunboxings that makes sense. A book that was super helpful for me was Boundaries, by Cloud & Townsend. Thanks for watching!

I had to stop shoulding on myself as well. Pretty similar reasons to you. People pleasing, so hard. Yaaass admittedly making mistakes is very freeing ❤ yaaas again, I was shy and called a snob as well.

I am 60 years old. The things i stopped doing in my 50's --1) I quit working and retired early. 2)- I quit drinking alcohol. 3)- I quit smoking weed. 4)-- I quit letting sex and females control my actions and decisions.

❤New sub❤ came over for skool😂 I've been watching your videos but not realized I didn't sub I'm not much of a people pleaser I an avoider. I had a tendency to self isolate. I have a hard time calling and staying in contact with people which i'm trying to work on now. Stop shoulding on your self. I need that T shirt.
