The art gallery would’ve been a great addition! It can resemble the Met museum on 5th Ave
EXACTLY!!!!, But egg needs to save few of those buildings for the govt district.
Another beautiful build! One suggestion for the parking in the downtown area is to use the parking garages. Those are much more common in US downtown areas than lots. Lots exist, but this is a good place to use both the parking garage and underground parking.
It's amazing how detailing mods make CS2 so much more enjoyable!

I think there should be some sort of green gap between Invernegg and the sub-bourbon housing sprawl that will encroach on it
Lovely build which put me straight into a zombie state watching you build it with the music you play!! Love that too btw. It does a lot for the city to have such a place! Excellent idea and job🤩

Central Park Bourbon looks pretty cool! I actually thought the National Gallery would've been a good addition like the Natural History Museum in NYC's Central Park or the various Smithsonian Museums in DC's National Mall. Maybe It could be part of the riverfront you mentioned
I think it'll certainly end up round this part of the city!

Love a Central Park build, and the overhead train line is very cool! BTW that backing track at 6:20 is giving heavy post-ring destruction Shire vibes!
I was half way through typing exactly that when I spotted your comment right below. I demand a "hobbit spawn point" mod immediately. Also possibly two towers at either end of the park, one surrounded by trees in a nice circle, the other with a mess of pits, hollows and ugly industrial. I'm only 6.44 in, but I'm going to be bitterly disappointed if I don't now get that.
Also... "it comes in pints?"

Egg, if you want to make it a realistic American city, be sure to take Main Street and continue that strip mall for way longer than you would ever think you need to.

Nice build as always! For that circle around the fountain, create a semi circle (equal length x width) with the continuous curve tool, then just connect directly (one click) and it will create a perfect circle. Looked like you did it in 3 or 4 segments. Unless you wanted it not to be a perfect circle.

Was thinking if you have one of those big hills, you could make an Arthur’s Seat like in Edinburgh. Would need an egg reference though - “Shell”ys seat? 😂😂

Great build Egg! I agree that these basic tools (props, surfaces) should have been in the base game from the start. Plenty of room for making money with DLC assets later :D
After watching you and infra work with mods, I can see the beauty of cities 2. CPP did a great tutorial on mods so I'm really thinking about getting into cities 2.

you also have random spacing and offset (variation) in the prop line tool for more realistic prop placement
Looks great! Would be nice to have mixed use retail/office like you find in most big cities
What a great video! I dont think it makes sense to have low density anywhere around the central park, the gas stations and whatnot look a bit out of place, I think a building to resemble the met would do well along the side would do quite well
Funnily enough I still fine the dev UI picker better... you get to see everything and the filtering is so much better. There's also pre-built grouping if you want that. Still, it's what you do with the stuff that counts and you're doing very nice things with the props! One thing though, please, hit that "randomise rotation" button on the line tool for trees/bushes? Even go so far as to add a bit of jitter too... the effects are small but _really_ effective.

19:16 the grand hotel in my opinion needs under ground parking
Are there industrial props you can use now? You have long lamented the absence of them in CS1. I can see some fun options now. Custom graveyards, custom car burial grounds, homeless encampments under bridges (maybe?). I need to get on the mod train but I want to finish the last achievement, the one where you unlock every building but that's turning out to be a real pain.
Egg, I would purchase a subscription to get access to a Spotify playlist with your soundtracks, please consider doing this!
Can you use the find stuff mod to grab a soccer pitch without the extra bits? It would be great to put it in the open space in the park kids would definitely be using the parks. Also, if you anarchy some paths through your custom parks and plazas it would give there some extra life. Is there a gathering point available with the mod? If so, you could get people to go to the custom areas in the back yard greenbelts.
The central park needs more benches and a perimeter jogging track.

How come I haven't seen the cemetery's Columbarium before? Is it perhaps only available if the map is set to European theme? I usually play with NA theme ...
edit: Ahh, it's because the Columbarium doesn't unlock until you place a Crematorium. Once I unlock them I just place Crematoria since more than 1 cemetery looks repetitive if too close!

Depends how much you care about the simulation, if you do, then not worth it yet. if you play to build cities, with the mods, there's an enjoyable experience to be had
