Its got a bad dent in one of the header pipes almost closing it. It also has a bad dent in the exhaust pipe further down. Those things will hinder performance.
a lot of mud, motor is rough running, interior is weak, trunk is full of holes, a lot of oil under side, just seems like a lot of money for something that needs a lot of money put into it
Your guys' videos are entertaining solely because i can't afford to buy one of your cars and it's impossible to import them where i live. But a man can dream. 😂
My step dad had a 73 challenger and I had the 76 Firebird in my teens. Years later, at 48 looking at buying one of the two in the future! Thanks for this channel! 👊❤
My Army buddy in 1974 had a new Challenger, it was a 318 with the slap stick automatic. Driving through Rocky Mountain National Park the engine stalled. The carburetor was not jetted for high altitude. Locking steering columns were a new thing. He was going about 50 mph coasting downhill. He tried to restart the engine but it wouldn't start in Drive so he shifted to Neutral. Still wouldn't start so he started to brake to pullover. He was unaware that he had locked the steering column. He pulled over onto the shoulder and kept going right and rolled at low speed down the hillside. No one was hurt but the Challenger roof was flattened. Didn't appear to be any other significant damage remarkably. They flagged down a Police Officer who promptly arrested him for suspicion of DUI. He hadn't been drinking but it was a suspicious accident. Next morning when he gets out of jail he asks me to drive him to the tow company that picked up his car. They were also a junkyard. He is asking about getting his car towed to a body shop. I'm looking at the car parts they have on display. A 1973 Challenger 318 engine and bucket seats. Hmmm. The junkyard had called his insurance and got the car totalled. They had it disassembled and were selling the parts before he had even gotten out of jail. At least the tow had been paid.
An easy way to get around that "hot start" issue is to turn off that 'ignition switch' under the dash at first...use the key switch to get the engine rolling over then flip that lower switch to the ON position to fire it up. That lower switch cuts power to the ignition coil and will allow the engine to roll over easier as it isn't working against the advanced timing which is firing the cylinder a bit too soon and trying to push that piston backward and causing that slow rolling when hot starting.
Hey Nick, I saw a video where you sold a guy a '71 Chevelle SS! He bought for his Dad's Birthday! He showed where he came down & picked it up. That was a fun ride, he really got on it hard!! That thing sounded SWEET! Dark blue one. 🚗💨~Rrrr~chirp!
Something bad wrong with that car otherwise they would be asking twice that much for a '73. It's obviously not perfect but still a very low price if it was in decent shape.
Nick I'm at LA, CA and I'm really thinking either this one or Yellow one...or should I wait till you have something better!! I've been wanting challenger for long time. I'm always fan for AMG E65 and now I'm all in for muscles and will be first...any advice guys?
Nick at maple motors is my favorite channel. I remember Ya had 200 some odd subs when first subscribed. You deserve the exposure. Hardest working man in show business. Love the challenger btw.
73 red challenger has a whole lot of flaws and cosmetic work needed (4 diff colors) needs vinyl decal redone ... has oil leaks from front to back possible main seal leak as well .... no fan shroud, starting issue belt, battery? Timing ? Wiring by firewall? Then interior? The guy that sold it to you pulled a fast one on you knowing all the issues. But you guys do buy alot of good cars just not that one
Maple Motors does sale good cars and that video was the 1st of all videos that I saw them issues. You guys are great thats why I'm always checking them out.
. Good ya posted $ & a high school friend, back in 77 put 360 heads & a bigger cam & of course a 4 barrel, on a barracuda 318 & never lost a race. Ha.Ha.Ha
Seems like the guy sold you his project driver. Definitely sounds like it might have an exhaust leak too. It has potential but it needs to be gone through.
I’d love to get a hold of this one and do a frame up restoration. Rebuild the motor. Restore the dash. Clean up the underside and this one will be a showstopper. It’s got great bones.
Thank you for the video.
Thank you
That car sounds way too good to have those belts acting like that 😂
Not bad looks good
if you fix the belt squeak, the alternator will be able to properly charge the battery. cool car
Nice looking car
Perfect project challenger lady's and gentlemen ❤
We have some horn! Awesome!
I’ll give you my 2018 rt for it even swap no swindle
Its got a bad dent in one of the header pipes almost closing it. It also has a bad dent in the exhaust pipe further down. Those things will hinder performance.
Nice, but it was definitely somebody's idea of a budget update. That trunk tells the story.
Nice《☆》Duster hood scoop looks good◇¿.Some belt dressing should bring that oil pressure up🖖🤓🏈
Big ass battery!!
Color really pops 😍
a lot of mud, motor is rough running, interior is weak, trunk is full of holes, a lot of oil under side, just seems like a lot of money for something that needs a lot of money put into it
Car nice be needs some work for her to be sweet

Nice Car !
Love the honesty. Cool
I believe ill talk that 73 Challenger too. Hey it said horn would work...some things dont. Can be fixed tho. Paint is nice too.

Dude this car is a hot mess. Love the channel.
Dude that car is sick... I see a lot of potential

The Hot Start issue is timing advanced just a hair to much. Easy fix...
That is the most beautiful engine I have seen on your channel.
A true Rust Bucket thanks but no thanks !
It's an okay car, I prefer the Cuda...👍😎😎😎
This is in very nice condition, looks great 👍👍

The easy way is to fix the hit start issue lol not live with it lol that type guy kills me
Although this car isn't a 70-72 which are typically the "crazy money years" for Challenger, this one is an absolute bargain at $23k.
I love that they colored the chrome bumpers.
Yep I bet it's timing way off that's why it's running so crappy
Cool looking Challenger!!! 👍👍👍
Thats an awesome car!
Your speedometer needs fixed
love these
Hope you didn't pay alot for that car geeze
Yeah, I think this horn works 💪
Thank you for beautiful video, and this is my dream car 😍
Dude why not just tighten the belt before you show it. Makes it seem almost more shady. A hunk of crap is what that chally is!... 15k tops
Ole squeaky has a smashed header on the left bank drivers side.. The squealing belt is letting the alternator lose it's charging ability..
At 29,301 Cad it really doesn't add up but again to each his own !!

@@bubb062 i thought a 383 was more motor than a 340 my bad lol
Nice.
This Car has Potential Nick But way to much Money and I usually never say that !❗ But at least your HONESTy Counts ❗👍👍👆✌✋❗
🔥 Oil Pressure @ 35… Oh Boy 🔥
Omg pure beauty
That's what I love about you guys Nick you're honest that's why it's 229 kind of a bucket Drop 30 will be worth 50
Nick I'm at LA, CA and I'm really thinking either this one or Yellow one...or should I wait till you have something better!! I've been wanting challenger for long time. I'm always fan for AMG E65 and now I'm all in for muscles and will be first...any advice guys?
Nick, with all the sales, test drives, turnaround, are you desensitized to how cool they are?
Nah lol always fun
Those rims really look good 👍 😍
Should remove the T/A sticker. Not T/A or 340.
Not even a real T/A hood
Nice, always like these cars. Enjoy seeing some potential next week cars,
That was kind of embarrassing honestly
looks like a giant headache to me...not worth the price.
The orange Challenger sitting directly behind this one it has the stance the wheels the tires and the look .
Wrong stripe kit for that year model..they only had the T/A option in 1970...
Tick-Tick header leak..

Had one awesome car if I had the money that would be mine awesome car👍
Do they fix when a blower motor don't work.
I want to buy a 79 to 81 82 vet .I guess I'll have fix what ever is broke
Got plenty of potential, to be a real sweet cruiser 👍 🇺🇸 🇬🇧
A few bug's to work out and she's off to the cruise inn's, pretty sharp car all in all, love them old Mopars 🔥 there definitely American muscle 💪

Dodge have nice sound...
Very minor issues for a car that age. It would look sweet in anyones garage.
Good Afternoon My Good Little Bro Nick Southgate Sir Of Maple Motors
That runner on the driver side header was smashed bad definitely losing power there
That is gorgeous 😍😍
. Good ya posted $ & a high school friend, back in 77 put 360 heads & a bigger cam & of course a 4 barrel, on a barracuda 318 & never lost a race. Ha.Ha.Ha
Sounds like, timing is to far advanced.
A lot of lipstick on this one
Seems like the guy sold you his project driver. Definitely sounds like it might have an exhaust leak too. It has potential but it needs to be gone through.
Driver-side Header was almost completely flat from
speed-bumps. 😟
Po tential
I don’t believe that is a true 340 six pack car.
1970 was the only year for the 340 six pack. Another funny thing is the 383 was gone as well in 1973.
I’d love to get a hold of this one and do a frame up restoration. Rebuild the motor. Restore the dash. Clean up the underside and this one will be a showstopper. It’s got great bones.
She wants that juice!! A few minor adjustments this thing be a fun machine!!
🚗💨~chirp!
It says six pack it doesn't have a six pack
it's not a real TA they didn't make a TA this year.
