I am so grateful to be able to come back to see y’all! Unfortunately, my return coincided with the devastating tornadoes and the horrible floods! Thankfully, your family, and the others whom I followed, remained safe although they suffered damage! I will try to be a better “friend” and not be a lurker! Looking forward to more adventures with Hidden Heights, The Arms Family, Keeping it Dutch, and Longhorn Lester (I’m a Survivor). Bless your lovely wife, the kids, and, of course, you! ❤

I have always wanted to go on a hunt, but that won't happen for me. I had a spine/cord injury about 13 years ago now and while I have some mobility - could sit and do the sticks/tripod, etc. I couldn't get around to hunt. This is SO interesting though and every video I've ever watched with Greg and Outdoor Solutions has been great. He seems to be a really genuine, stand-up, knowledgeable guy and the instructors are so knowledgeable. I may not have initially thought to put the backpack on my lap, with the pad, etc. but it makes way more sense than to sit on the ground with the barrel resting on two sticks. Not only does it make more sense, but I can almost see how much more comfortable and stable you got when you did this.
Great information, Kevin & Outdoor Solutions. Your accommodations don't seem too shabby either. I don't know if I could handle having a quality chef preparing all of my meals for me, haha.
Thanks for sharing, Kevin. Maybe one of these days we'll get to go on a hunt with you, whether it's in the hunting property you sometimes go to, or somewhere new. Do Rachel or Caleb have any interest in hunting? One of these times you go to Outdoor Solutions, or even on a hunt or target shooting, maybe he or she can come along!? I didn't mention Kyah because I wasn't sure if she'd be interested in the actual hunting since she's such an animal loving little girl. If she's interested - all the power to her!

What a great opportunity for you Kevin. I think my husband would have really enjoyed that kind of interaction. He loved hunting and just training to be a better shot with targets. We lived in Colorado, and he got 2 elk cows with one shot---TOTALLY BY ACCIDENT. The 2nd cow was unseen, standing just below the one he saw. Long story, short version, they had to notify a game warden and the property owner's ranch to collect the cows. He did all his reloading ammo.

I haven't hunted in yrs! Last time was with an old bf before I got married. Even though my husband is a lover of guns he doesn't like to go hunting just practice shooting. But I really enjoyed this video! It's great to hear that no matter how good you think you are you can still make mistakes and they give you reminders of things to do and not to do. Wish more ppl would take these types of classes. Thanks!!

All I'm going to say...is use 300 WM for distance. WM is WinMag, also 6.5 creedmore is a nice caliber too. 6.5 CM has very similar bulletistics to .308, but the 6.5 shoots much flatter. So you don't have to deal with elevation as much. I'm not a hunter. However, I have a extensive firearm collection. And have 3 (private) gun ranges on my property. My rifle range distance is at 700 meters. And could be expanded to 1000.

Interesting to see but not practical for roo shooting or pig shooting here in Australia. We are in the back of a Ute at night driving through scrub and paddocks and dirt tracks. We also use dogs to assist with pig hunting. I personally have only used support for target practice to get used to a new gun the last time I fired a rifle was 20 years ago. As live in the city now.

Kevin that is on my bucket list, to go out west and hunt for Elk and Mule Deer. 1. The scenery out west is amazing. Then you have the challenge to try an elk is amazing. Even though you have alot of things you can do while out. Camping, hiking, campfire cooking and spotting.
Another thing, Kevin your gun looks amazing! It would be nice to get more info on your Rifle, optic snd whatever else you might have for it. Glad you was able to go out and educate yourself on something you really enjoy.
