If I'm right based on the name of the gear you get this is themed after a bit of dante's inferno where next will be Hell and the final tier paradiso (Heaven) and seeing that all of the amorot stuff is based on Greek I feel that's a safe guess. Such an awesome theme

normal is somewhat braindead because its for casual players, most of them just want some raids and storyline… for raiders, its ex, savage and ultimate… like, why would they make a normal raid hard, one that would take u hours to beat just for a story
Exactly. I think its smart. You get all the casual or story focused players through with some degree of challenge but not too much, so they can get the hit of story, while also making sure there is a version of every fight for the hardcores.
Extremes are literally a higher difficulty than normal raid, by a decent amount. Normal trials sometimes are harder than normal raid. Savage is where it's actually hard. The jump between the two is huge. Much bigger than the jump from normal trial to extreme trial.

I was glad to see some old mechanics make a comeback, like the labyrinth water, phoenix fires. And as a 14 boomer everything is easy after 8 years of experience so I'm just on team was it fun?
I'm not sure if they already saw it, but in the fourth fight if you watch the tiles, you'll notice that the pillar will pulse before the mechanic goes off, and if you're not in position a second after that happens the snapshot gets ya.
The fourth fight really gave me major O3S Halicarnassus vibes. So excited for Savage! Halicarnassus is still one of the best savage fights in this game in my opinion. Still holds up really well today.
P3 in DF is gonna be annoying. I bet a bunch of healers arent going to notice the OT starting to take autos after add phase. They hit for like 10k before mitigation.
People who enjoyed the MSQ and got invested will enjoy this a lot more than cutscene skippers calling it now. Interesting mechanics though can't wait for savage

Just a curiosity: The tier gear is called Limbo possibly because in the Japanese version of the game this tier is called 辺獄編 (Limbo). Asphodelos seems to be an adaptation, not a direct translation of the JP name of the tier.
The 4th boss felt like trial-and-error to figure out. You don't know what anything does until after it goes off, and you either got lucky and dodged the attack or you got unlucky and got hit. Zero tells of what any of those animations mean. You figure it out eventually but it is just "oh, it's a proximity marker" (after everybody is dead)
It's based on previous bosses with the element for the most part. Leviathan (water) always has those KB pillars of water in it's fights that work the same way. Ramuh has the lightning spikes in E5 that work the same way. So there is *some* early warning. But also, that's just kinda how fight design in this game works. Some bosses deliberately do the opposite of what old mechs trained you to do, like the proxy marker in O4 that has a KB resolve first, and kill everyone who tried to resolve the proxy marker.
I want to watch this so bad. However, cuz I have a half a brain (at least) and don't want spoilers, this will go on my playlist so I can watch it later. Also can't wait for the react stream tomorrow about brain dead's reeeeeeeing about spoilers.
I felt like Eden was easy as hell compared to this raid I actually struggled a bit but I actually just started playing this game this year probably that’s why but these guys are really good it took me a minute to complete the first three but the last one was easy.

The armour reflects this as it looks very reminiscent of clothes worn by ancient greeks. I agree, it's not the best looking armour, but it is reflecting what it is supposed to reflect.
