For those watching this video, many of the Bibles were divided into their separate books, chapters and even pages. These were then distributed amongst the villagers living in the towns in Russia. On the decided time, the villagers would swap their sections so that they could read the whole Bible over time. During the 80's there were many operations like this, including Russian Christian radio stations that were based in Hong Kong that allowed Russians to listen to God's word with shortwave radios. Many families in Australia, USA and Canada would record hymns and sermons so that they could be played across Russia. Many people were involved and through these efforts, Christianity not only survived but thrived in the former soviet union. My family is Russian and was involved and we owe a debt to these brave Finnish people for loving our people so much that they risked their lives to spread the word. May God bless them and their families for their kindness and selflessness.

Hundreds of years ago, many people paid with their lives to translate the bible. In this modern age, people still risk their lives to smuggle bibles all for the sake of reaching out with the gospel. There's no excuses for neglecting the reading of God's words, when you can do so freely. God bless

I give my 10th to FTM Mission since 30 years back. They smuggled Bibles through the Iron Curtain too. Today the East European Bible School is founded and growing, graduating pastors every year. What a fantastic journey! You never know who your seed will help. These faithful men are a part of the development of congregations in the eastern countries: when Christians learn how to pray things start happening. God bless you richly!

One late afternoon I discovered in the barn a lot of hymn books and bibles. went in the house and told my mom. she told me that there was nothing there and when I asked her to come and see, she told me to eat and go to bed. Next morning everything was gone. My parents were afraid that I would talk with the kids in the neighborhood, so they called somebody that night to pick them up.
They were willing to tech him about the Bible, they just didn’t want him to tell his friends because then the news would spread to everyone and there would be a bigger chance of them getting caught, that’s what I’m assuming

Another reason was because we had a neighbor that knew that something was going on and kept calling the police on my parents. After they called the police few times and they did not find anything, police thought he is crazy and stopped responding to his calls. Those times are coming back over the whole world. Get ready !!
You should start learning about underground churches of China. They don’t have bibles, so when preachers go there they ask them to preach for 12 hours straight.

God blessed these men so that many who didn't have Bibles could get them. In the United States we take getting Bibles for granted. They can be freely bought at your local bookstore, Amazon, Ebay. As Christians we should feel greatful for what God allows us to have.
In the 80s my grandfather Herman V. went multiple times to bring Bibles to Roumania with his Ford Sierra. I hardly know anything about what he did and how that all happened but I'm proud of him.
The ministry Open Doors has a similar story about Bible smuggling. Their founder, known as Brother Andrew wrote "God's Smuggler," an excellent book. Corrie Ten Boom also smuggled Bibles into The Soviet Union.

I'm not worthy to call them brethren, their love for Christ & for souls immense. I could feel the pain in their voices when they replied, "considering the demand (for the Scriptures), IT WAS NEVER ENOUGH (what we were smuggling in!!!" @@TheQweerdeer00 As a Evangelist,I travel to places no one dare go,so to take Bibles there,is a big risk for me,its possible,only by Gods Grace,in fear,and distress for my family back home,my daughter who comes with me,its hard,but,Bibles we take,and give out,do pray for us,we need prayer so much,we cannot tell folks where we go,when,or even when we will return,Ileave my dear wife behind at home,she is unable to travel,the church we attended,has shund us,calling us trouble makes,but God knows our hearts,its for his glory we go,to give out his word,so folks can come to know him,and obtain salvation,time is running out,I'm not as young as I once was,but to go,is a burden,God has placed on my life no matter,how long,it may be,by his Grace,strengh I will go.

God bless anyone who advances the Kingdom of Elohim! During SSSR era in around the 60s and 70's, my grandfather who was imprisoned by the Soviets for 10 years for his faith, would actually receive bibles from these guys - from Finnish, German and American missionaries.
God bless these wonderful, brave brothers in Christ! They had such love for the holy Word of God they wanted to share it with others who didn't have Bibles. I'm not worthy to call them brethren, their love for Christ & for souls immense. I could feel the pain in their voices when they replied, "considering the demand (for the Scriptures), IT WAS NEVER ENOUGH (what we were smuggling in!!!" BTW, if anyone wants to read more on smuggling Bibles during the height of Communism - read the book 'The God Smuggler' by Brother Andrew, founder of Open Doors ministry to the persecuted Church.
