Justice Carpio is absolutely correct, "how can we be friend with China when their coast guard bullied our own coast guards and navies, their militia ships are illegally occupying our EEZ, when their fishing vessels ram the smaller fishing boats of our fisherman."
I also fully agree with justice Carpio that Philippines should go on with the drilling of exploration and production wells for oil and gas in the Reed Bank and elsewhere within our 200-mile EEZ asap! It is time to assert our sovereignty and the UN Arbitral Award in the WPS. Bahala na what will come next.

Very clear explanation by former Supreme court associate justice Carpio. Only those pro China will not appreciate US presence in the West Philippines Sea.
These is the first time I truly agree with Former Justice Carpio. There are huge silent majority PBBM supporters who truly agree with him that China is truly the aggressors and not the trivial US presence issue.
I dont thinks so. Halos mag-away na sila ng mga DDS sa issues na yan. The problem is yung Pinks, dahil hnd nila masikmura si Marcos, imbes na mag-side sa kanya regarding this issues, dun pa nakadikit sa mga DDS.

the chinese are in the wps because they claim the area when it is not theirs as backed by the arbitral award. The americans are in the wps and does not claim anything and in fact they reinforce the arbitral award.

Wow! EX-PH Supreme Court Antonio Carpio has an amazing opinion towards the PWS and I agree 120%! That's exactly my question with Imee Marcos and others, why they keep watching the American Militaries? Honestly opinion, they should be worried about the Chinese presents in the west PH Sea and pushing us back, rather than watching and questioning about the American forces every time they come by to the Philippines sea for patrolling our sovereignty.

It was too unfortunate that D30 sided with China instead of siding with his own country Philippines.
Why not deploy maritime militia vessels of our own ( if possible ) in the WPS like what China is doing?.
When the US bases were here China did not bother to get near our territory, now that the Chinese are closing in we are still busy yelling adjectives with no action to assert our presence.
We depend on world opinion to take effect but how about our filipino fishermen who could not fish because of chinese coast guard. These small filipino fishermen cannot wait for that to happen. Why not organize all filipino fishermen to fish with the escort of Philippine Coast Guard.

It is possible to be friend with China but insisting the rule of law provided by UN. We can be friend to everybody but within the bounds of the law. We will harm no one but we can discipline our friend when they are unlawful, they are still our friend.

This is a huge task for Filipinos to be vocally supportive of our rights and sovereignty. Just listen to the urgency of Justice Carpio's statements! We cant simply rely on the Philippine government. We have a huge role to play, and our allies in ASEAN and abroad are supporting us fully.
The time to drill caused by the incomming oil shortage of the country must be dealt accordingly by the Philippine government. And it must be done with out hindrance after all as long as we are in our own rightful territory, that no amount of threat could stop us even the fear that giant powerful china is imposing on us, we should not be mind, because those are ours. They can start on what they want but they must remember history, that surely they can not last.
