If I didn't understand English I would still be moved by her voice! Her 'instrument' so to speak is amazing. And then there is her musicality. Insane! And if that wasn't enough, the connection with the lyrics is outstanding! Especially when it is about grief and loss? I think thousands of people felt tears listening to this!

This is an Adele song, but no one can bring the emotion and passion into this song like Angelina. You actually feel the emotions in the lyrics when Angelina sings it. I don't experience this with other singers. How does a 12 or 13 year old do this?

For years and years I was a Adele fan and still is, and then a kid came along and spoiled every thing for me. I have listen to Adele after listen for the first time to Angelina's rendition, but Angelina sings the covers of Adele better than Adele.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt reaction. Angelina allows us to feel all kinds of feelings with her persona and her beautiful voice. Her performances are an opportunity to go where she takes us. The reality is that she loves doing this, she prefers using her artistic talents to anything else. Then she becomes a young person again and becomes a family member, friend, sister, daughter or whatever. When she waves at the beginning or end of a song, I smile.

I think, as everyone has mentioned, it's the song with Angelina's emotional delivery - that's what got to you. I don't know how in someone this young...old soul I guess.

Follow up. I just listened to Adele's version, which I hadn't heard before. What ? No shade to Adele, but Angelina's is so much more emotionally crushing! Wow...
She's a little stinker! She spends 4 minutes ripping my heart and soul out and then laughs and says by like it's time for cake. But I am still on the floor emotionally eviscerated.
One reactor said her voice is like a drug! I think of a better way to describe it.
How this little angel can own every song she sings is beyond my ability to articulate.
Someone recently asked me which if her songs was my favorite. My answer is simple, the last one I heard.

This is just another example of Angelina asking Ivan if he knows a particular song. If he does, she gets the lyrics on her phone & says "just follow me!" Grandma hits "record" & off they go. She emotes the lyrics so beautifully, Ivan is giving stank face all they way through because he, like you, is hearing it for the 1st time. He said it's really hard to concentrate on playing, when she is singing beside him. Who wouldn't? She has done so many of these "raw" impromptu performances with Ivan & earlier with Egil, that IMO, are usually better than the originals. It's astounding!!!

much more penetrating into the inner soul.
Jenifer, one of the reasons that these lyrics get to you is the way this young lady delivers them. Yes, an Adele song, but I highly doubt you would have that reaction listening to Adele sing it, just the way it is with Angelina. Brings a whole new meaning to a song that you did not know existed. Angelina makes one believe in things not from this Earth. Angelina has always been able to convey more emotion than any other vocalist in my 62 years. Impossible the emotion to come from life experiences or vocal training so it comes from a different source I like to believe all the vocal greats from decades past got together in heaven and decided to pour all of the talent into Angelina. Her voice hugs my soul and I am addicted to that feeling.

I've watched this performance dozens of times. Every time I think I might get through it without crying, she gets to the, "I miss my mother" line and I know I was mistaken. I know her mother is in a nearby room, if she's not in the room with her, but that doesn't matter.

This is a beautiful song, but it's perfect when sang by Angelina
You’ve identified, without saying it directly, why Angelina is unique. Adele writes beautiful lyrics, and she’s a terrific singer. But no one delivers the message in those lyrics like Angelina can. She lives whatever she’s singing, and it’s so clear in songs like this. Angelina interprets lyrics in a way that makes it seem like she’s singing directly to you. I was one of the people who suggested you listen to this after you said you liked Adele-and I said you should bring some tissues with you. I’ve never been touched by any singer the way Angelina can, and she does it across multiple musical genres. She’s the best, and I mean that literally-even at 11 or 12 years old here.

Great reaction, in an interview Ivan said, " They do songs usually in 1 take, if it takes 1 or 2 more, it's because he gets lost in her singing and he messes up". Ivan stated that the hardest thing about playing with Angelina was concentrating on his playing. He said listening to Angelina sing made it extremely difficult.

The interesting thing about Angelina that perhaps no one has mentioned is that she is singing an Adele song based on Adele's lyrics and experiences. To look back on your life and to have regrets from when you were young is an adult experience, and Angelina has the unique gift of being able to evoke the emotions from that experience even though she has never lived it. That is mind-boggling. Also, I'm not sure it's just the lyrics that got to you, but the interpretation and delivery of those lyrics from a 12 year old girl. Most people believe that this version is as good or even better than Adele's because of the emotion Angelina pours into it, even with her hand expressions.
I think it had to be both. The whole package! It is amazing how she can do that, then happily give a "BYEE", as I'm reduced to a pile of mud...lol

Let me first say I do enjoy your reactions. This is going to sound like complaining but it's not meant that way but if you don't know about it how can you address it ( that's my thinking any way). the volume discrepancy is still quite large between the performance volume and your mic volume. Another thing that I noticed on this video is the audio/video sync on your voice is off (performance audio was fine) enough that it reminded me of watching a foreign language movie that was dubbed in English. Still enjoyed your video and still gave a thumbs up, just thought you should know.
LOL- I'm not an easy person to offend, so please speak your mind here anytime. I appreicate the constructive feedback. I noticed the lag myself, only afterwards though. I did like 7 videos at once, and only this was was like that. I think I overheated it! LOL. As for my Mic, I have it up to fullblast! Maybe I need to turn DOWN the music? NAH....You'd rather hear her than me, anyway. LOL
