only thing worries me is my mates 790r destroyed the cams and rocker gear few months out of warranty and this guy knows his way around a bike and keeps its mint not sure if it ate dust but valves had moved , my T7 runs like a swiss watch not sure if i be upgrading to this ,
They are certainly using the 890 platform to their advantage. Economies of scale make these bikes far more economical to build. But the 901 does have a number of differences as mentioned in the video. And we are hoping to get our hands on both the 901 and the 890 to run side by side long term to get more into the nuance.
Nice review . In general ...same comments on the bike like all the other reviews. Starting to believe that it is a great bike :-) Sold my 990 smt for a 1290 s . Still miss my 990! Hopefully this Norden is somewhere in between .
“Cheers Husky for making a seat I don’t want to replace”. This may be the first bike that people like me will have to replace the seat, not because its not comfortable, but because the yellow on the seat doesn’t line up with the decal on the tank! It curls up at the front, why do that, my OCD is going nuts 😵💫😉
I hated it bc it makes me that much more impatient to get mine! Texas has only seen 2 that i know of. Seems like everyone else is getting theirs before us. ):
You aren't alone. In Canada they are impossible to find. I haven't seen a single one on the road in BC or Alberta, and every dealership is only taking orders for 2023 models with an estimated arrival of November/December.
Not sure about that headlight. I love that style light on the Vitpilan. It just needs to grow on me I guess. I have a 701 and I’m not crazy about that light either, or any of the rally upgrades. Hard to beat the look of the AT and T7 for me. The 901 is to close and to heavy compared to my 701. I like to do the business off road so I will stick with my 701 🤙.
I want to see how reliable the 901 will be, before testing it. They had some serious problems with the 400 and 700 models, and the last thing I would want is a adventure bike I cant trust.
Not much to wait for. Its the exact same bike as the KTM 890, just with more suspension travel, a different theme on the software, and nicer body panels. Same exact engine, same frame, same subframe. Even most other parts are very similar and many are identical.
Do you guys feel the bike is more top-heavy in comparison to the KTM 890 Adventure or roughly about the same? I'm thinking about picking either this or an 890 Adventure up but just wanted to get an idea.
@@MountainMoto5 less support? What do you mean? Yeah, it's sexy as hell. That's probably the main reason because the two seem to be very similar in terms of specs. I'd also like to see more DesertX suspension, as I'm hearing people are left unimpressed with Norden's front fork. It's decent but that's about it. As for more expensive, the asking price in Europe is exactly the same 15,999.
@@panpestowski yes… the cost of ownership is always going to be higher for a Ducati. Additionally, the dealer network and parts availability is not as robust as Husqvarna. I’m not saying it isn’t going to be a great bike at all. But owning a Norden is likely going to be easier.
There are similarities as the KTM mothership is leveraging economies of scale from the 890 platform, but they are quite different motorcycles in execution.
Awesome presentation my friend! I believe this is the bike every adventure minded rider are waiting for! I'm gunning for it too!
Thank you for watching.
Congratulations for knowing the correct pronunciation of the brand. One of the very few.
We do try. Thank you for watching.
Can’t wait to buy the Norden 901❤
We have really enjoyed ours. Check out the Norden 901 Expedition bit.ly/23husEXPD
Glad you enjoyed riding the Norden in my island. 😉
Great review.
It was great! You live in a special place.
Dig it! Nice review and beautiful footage. I can’t wait to see one in person.
Thank you for watching and for the kind words. It's a fun bike. We look forward to getting a long term unit to put more miles on.
Bring on the Norden 501. I already have a 990S.
Yes please!!
I too am looking forward to the Norden 901 reaching US shores, for all the reasons you mentioned. I think this will likely be my next ADV bike!

With the time we have had on it, we are confident it will fill most riders needs well.
The 890 platform has addressed those issues. We never had any issues with our 790, but the 890 has been really good. Better power delivery etc.
Really nice review! Thanks a lot for sharing your experience after test driving it.
Glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you for watching.
This is a damn good looking bike and so what if it is a KTM 890 dressed up in different clothes? It is unique looking and I wouldn't mind getting one.

Still miss my 990!

We think it is. A little more elegant and compliant than the 990. The 1290 is a beast and its own thing altogether.
Outstanding review!
Thanks for watching. We appreciate the kind words.

Seat in low position might resolve the issue☺️
Yeah, the seat is pretty good from the factory on this one. We are with you... we will still be getting an all black gripper seat from Seat Concepts.
I think it lines up in the low position possibly
Great vid! Sneak peek at sticker pack? ;)
Thank you! Haha... not yet. We have a couple of ideas but we are a ways out from having templates to work with.

@@TheVidKid3000 i have mine now. For 6 months now. Modded the suspension and it’s amazing..
@@snakegs4203 Ah lucky you. I am assuming you were on a waitlist? They tell me I can only order 2023 models. So I put a deposit on one yesterday.
@@TheVidKid3000 not really. I got the first one at my dealer. No deposit since i buy so much from them. Called me as soon as the crate hit.

The 701 is an excellent platform. Nothing wrong with that at all.
Need to see Jarvis on one
Agreed! That would be a fun trip watching him put the screws to one of these.
I have cash ready to buy a bike. Would you pick this over the old model 1290 (17-21) for 90% road and riding to work and back everyday?
Yes we would. The 1290 is great but it is a beast. Best suited for longer distances. The manners of the 901 will be better suited for your needs.
Congratulations for knowing the correct pronunciation of the word “boingers”. One of the very few.

It feels more or less the same. But it feels wider between the legs.
WHERE IS IT BUILT ?? can you just turn the TCS & ABS off ?
It is built in Austria.
@@UPSHIFT_ONLINE good good why all the online rumors saying they are made in China ??
@@justsomedude445
That’s the orange one I think.
@@JS-ny8sn not logical , same exact engine trans frame ect. so id think made in the same factory
@@justsomedude445
Maybe the “orange one” 890 is made in India 🙄 the KTM and Husky’s are not built in the same place.
This or the DesertX. Hard call, but I’d go with Ducati, I guess.
But why? Ducati = more expensive and far less support. Sure Ducati is sexy… but so what?

I hope they sell it in Mexico,
We do too! Thank you for watching
Your helmet would better fit the Ktm 😀
KTM's wear helmets?
Took a well balanced and engineered 890 and then tried to change the looks messing up the balance as the fuel is now too high.
We have to disagree with you.
What do you mean exactly ? The tank is almost identical, just sexyer.
nice but get me a analog clocks and I will be interested.
Analog is almost gone for good. Well we do still have the DR650.
I agree, I dont know why everyone nowadays like digital speedometers. Doesnt feel the same.
Idk kinda looks like a 890 in disguise .....

That felt like a paid marketing video…
