Sometimes i use a little propane torch to heat up the black pipe to slip over the fittings, makes it a little easier, have a good weekend ☺

Good video. One suggestion, to get proper penetration of the barbed internal coupler, heat the tubing before inserting the coupling. You can use a torch or boiling water. Great looking lawn.

I don't like hiring people either lol... I've become an irrigation expert over the last 5 years, I shut down and turn on my own every year and do all repairs, expansions and sprinkler moves my self. Another great video man...

If ya got sprinklers its worth investing in a a bag of pinch clamps a set of pinch pliers and a pvc cutter... Probably about $40 total and it they will last forever and save you so much time on these little repairs. Good job brotha 👊👊

You just screwed yourself in the future you should never manhandle those couplings in you have to heat up the pipe and slowly push them in

Nice work Kyle. Lawn looks fantastic. Next time use a small propane torch to heat the tube and it usually slides right onto the couplings really easily.

Looking at putting irrigation in at the new crib. Great, timely video. This kinda maintenance is not what I’m looking forward to if it happens. But great to know it can be done relatively easily. Sorry about the seeding work going to waste tho man. It’ll all be worth it in the end. Good stuff.

Great video!....my issue is this: one of my sprinkler heads needed replacing. I dug out around it and removed the sod and soil so I had room to work. I unscrewed and removed the defective head carefully. When I attempted to install the new head, I had difficulty getting the thread started. It took me several minutes to finally get it started. I tightened it as far as it would go and then tested the spray. It sprayed and rotated as it should. BUT.....when I turned off the zone, the head doesn't go all the way down beneath the surface. It is now sitting about an inch and a half above the turf. It seems to retract into the sprinkler body properly. It seems like the part where it screws in to the pipe is where the issue is. For some reason, it doesn't go down as far as it should when the water is off. The defective head went down just fine. Any ideas?
