Kenobi: Trials of the Master- Tie Advanced Shot CG Breakdown

- Compared to my latest entry, here's something that can be considered even boring, but nonetheless I wanted to share with you the breakdown of the TIE Advanced shot you saw in the Teaser.
I'm quite happy how it turned out, given that I was never generally satisfied with my CG ships. I think it was the sterile lighting of the outer space that made it feel weird, because as soon as you add a bit of atmospheric interaction it comes to life.

This is awesome bro! You should also try to fix the inexisting security wall in Mapuzo, where in the wide shot it is shown that they could've just walked around it
Thanks! And already taken care of :)
the point of those checkpoints even in real life isn't to stop people on foot, it's to stop vehicles
@@invictus7736 Agreed, but they still went to a great deal to break it down, even when they were just intending to continue on foot.
Beautiful
Perfection
Nice
Well sure, when you put it like that it just seems so easy! Can't wait!
Absolutely hahah Few years ago I was meeting a director who wanted to do his Sci-fi short, and he told me "If I put the actress in a green spandex, you can make her wearing a robot suit with a few clicks, right?"
I think it's just my fault in presenting stuff :D
@@PixelJoker95 I wonder where this nonsense comes from. Oh, you can do art, so you can do it super fast right?!
@@EndThusIAm "And since it's fast and clearly a no brainer for you, can you do it as a favour???"
@@PixelJoker95 Can't tell you how many artist friends of mine deal with that. I think one did a literal stick figure picture in response.
Fucking beautiful
I’m so excited for this movie! You should have much more subscribers than 477.
This aged like fine wine
This is absolutely awesome!
Bro I’m so excited for this
I like it!
Man, my anticipation for this fan edit is off the scale! Are you creating 3D models and effects in Blender or similar?
Thanks man!! This one is actually pretty old but accurate model way back from the sci-fi 3d archive. I used C4D and Redshift for this one.
This is a badass change.
Nice work there brother.. waiting impatiently.
I know you are super engaged with the project now but any chance you can edit the 2.5 hour edit with your version of Inquisitors and burnt Kenobi with de-aged Anakin and the original score in the final dual....i mean you're doing some crazy stuff there(dark luke and world between world's) and i am looking forward to it...but i would also like a more grounded version of the show...thanks Lots Of Love ✌️
Thanks for the support man!! I was thinking about that as well, but since this project only will take a lot of time, and there are already quite of few of theatrical cuts of the series that have most of the original storyline (Patterson, Dewit, Spence, Pentex, Ahjohan, to name a few...), I will release my Inquisitors fixes publicly for other editors and they can include them in their edits. So yes, you'll get that version too.
@@PixelJoker95 you are the best 🤩
Cool cool cool.
Comfy
I hadn't popped into your channel for a while and then I saw that you're making these edits into a feature length film, I honestly got really excited! The work is awesome! I'm curious, just how extensive is this edit in terms of vfx work because based on what I've seen, it's a lot and I'm sure there are many more that we still haven't seen? Also, what programs do you use to accomplish this look?
Thank you!! It's pretty extensive. Some scene will get an entirely new meaning and plot purely by using vfx, which then takes the story in a bit different direction than what we have now in the show. It's pretty much like dominos here. I'm mostly using Nuke, with Cinema 4D for 3D work and After Effects for some minor 2D work.
@@PixelJoker95 That's awesome, I showed my dad and we both got excited about Star Wars again. We've been more intrigued about fan edits than actual show!
Great work man! By the way, what source are you using to get the original show in 4k? I know there are no physical format releases of the show that Disney has put out. Are you screen recording it?
man you are an artist! how is the project going ?
Edit is almost complete, reshoots are coming up in two days so I'm currently doing additional storyboards, packing up the costumes and props and making a lot of calls to organize everything more than 1000 km away :)
@@PixelJoker95 wow this is huge! Going to become a fan favorite like Star Wars revisited
You should include the deleted clone wars scene with obi wan and Anakin talking about Ashoka on utapau, maybe when he finds out that Anakin is still alive on the ship with Leia
Since I want this to have the appearance of a full-budget SW anthology film, I'm not that keen on mixing the animation media with live action. I love that scene though. On the other hand I had the idea to construct the Clone Wars flashback when Obi spots a homeless Clone trooper. So far the material we have isn't exactly working to make a meaningful "story", but let's wait and see what will Andor give us from that era.
Tie advanced was created in 5bby kenobi takes place in 9bby nice
I know, and while I was taking some deliberate artistic liberties (since Wookiepedia is vague about the exact period it was invented), ultimately I decided to choose redesigned version of Vader's personal ship that fits the canon better. I will post an update when it's finalized.
Amazing, Disney should be ashamed
For not giving the show a higher budget? Yes
Vader shouldn't be using ramp to exit. He should slowly levitate to show off Obi-Wan that he mastered Dark Side (we know that Count Dooku could do that).
Makes sense, but in can't be done with the material I have. Once you see the film, that ramp will be the last thing on your mind :)
We have seen him use ramps before
Wasn’t the Tie Advanced invented around 5 years after Kenobi takes place?
Wookieepedia only says he used it in this time period, they don't specify the time of invention though. So I saw an opportunity and took few artistic liberties here and there.
@@PixelJoker95 Maybe the Tie Advanced prototype shown in rebels could be a prototype for a mark 2 Tie Advanced then. That could make sense
