  • It has been a long time coming but I think I finally found a camera strap that I love and actually use. This video is not sponsored, I have just really enjoyed using it recently. If you would like to check it out here is the link: bit.ly/4czeXSo.

    Are you a camera strap lover? Or not? 👇

    We have peak design anchors on all our cameras and use with cuff, leash, etc

    Hate camera straps so seldom use it. Most of the time I use a wrist strap which suits me much better. I use a quick release from Smallrig so easy to swap over if required

      I’ve tried wrist straps too - sometimes find easy. Haha. Until I want to get it off quickly 😉 Must look at that from SmallRig….

    I too have never got on with Straps. I have two different Peak Design ones and never use them, I also bought cheap ‘Rope’ style one and it was horrible, same scratchy rope like my dogs lead. I also agree that if the camera is in a bag while cycling it never comes out so might have to check one of these you recommended out 👍

      Lol kinda glad I’m not the only one with this dilemma. This one is incredibly nicely made - I think you’d like it a lot. Only the million variations to decide between 😉

    So absolutely jealous you get to ride in the summertime. I'm in Texas and the average temperature is in the 100s and air quality is absolutely horrible! Great strap, it's also the one thing I struggle with when it comes to carrying my gear and to this day I have yet to find the right one.

      It’s a really struggle to find the ‘perfect’ solution isn’t it. So many variables. Might explain my camera bag addiction also 😉
      So currently it’s around 25 degrees (c) here. Which is a heatwave for us 🤣 Rain is usually the deciding factor on cycling rather than the heat. I’d love to visit Texas though… maybe not in the summer 🔥

      @@HannahYoungPhotography Let's not start talking about bags, it's a never ending struggle for me as well! And I totally agree, if you do visit Texas avoid the summer for sure, it's supposed to be 37 today and I'm staying indoors! ✌🏽

    I have a couple of straps which I regularly use, a wider “silk” woven strap from Japan on the A7RV with whatever the lens of the day is (comfort) and a thin-ish leather strap on the A7CR, sometimes swapped for a wrist strap. Definitely, fickle (moody?) so Peak Design clips for interchangeability. Out of interest, what lens are you using with the Haoge Leica-esq hood? I tried one with the 24mm G and found it gave some corner vignetting - nice look though 😅

      Nice set up with the straps. And the PD clips always come in strong! I’m using the 40mm f/2.5 G with the Haoge hood. Haven’t found any noticeable issues with vignetting but perhaps as it’s a tighter focal length….

    Did you film the bike sequence on an insta360? Just bought one, trying to get my head around it.

      @HannahYoungPhotography  29 дней назад

      This was on the DJI Osmo Action 4. Yet to own a 360. Haha. A little scared. I see some awesome stuff shot on them though. Apparently the app is really easy for picking the frames? Which one did you get?

    What length would you recommend buying for the strap?

    • @HannahYoungPhotography
      @HannahYoungPhotography  Месяц назад +1

      I went for 110cm/43’’. For me this is the perfect mid length ✌🏻

    This could have been the perfect strap for me. I just hate all the other straps. So ugly, uncomfortable, etc. I have been eyeing on the Artisan&Artist Silk Strap for a long time, but they're very expensive. But, I finally decided to get one and couldn't be happier. It's so comfortable! I've managed to attach the PD anchor system to it, and it is perfect! Your video came about two weeks late. Otherwise, I'd probably gotten this one. Maybe something for my second camera. 😊 Thanks for the link and the vid!

      Amazing, that sounds so nice. I don’t think I’ve seen a silk strap before. And great to be able to adapt it with the PD anchors 👏🏼 Of you do need a second strap, I can really recommend. Thanks so much for watching 😌

    The rope style doesn’t seem like it would be comfortable around my neck.

    • @HannahYoungPhotography
      @HannahYoungPhotography  Месяц назад

      I think it depends on the carry/load. It wouldn't work for me with a heavy load. However, with a light street style set up I have found it to be nice and rope slides nicely when pulling the camera up to the eye. But.. definitely personal preference! Thanks for watching :)

      @@HannahYoungPhotography I also have an A7cii w/24mm 2.8. After seeing the 40 mm, I think I might’ve made a mistake…

      @HannahYoungPhotography  Месяц назад +1

      @@juliegreller9242 ooo. It’s a tough choice. I definitely lean towards a tighter focal length so the 40 for me is the one! I guess it depends what and how you like to shoot!?
