I really respect his father for the way he has raised his children especially his son who followed his foot steps. Coming from a Polynesian background the expectations are so high and can be overwhelming to the point you no longer want to pursue it. This is the example the new generation of parents need to follow. All the best to Caleb in his rugby career
Two real father and son warriors. Softly spoken and humble off the park, with no brag or under-lying arrogance, yet incisive, direct, and unrelenting when plying their trade. Real men.
Never felt Eroni got all the caps he deserved in the ABs. Was one of my fave centers in the 90's. Hope Caleb does well, seems like a really well adjusted young man.
@@AdrianKerr that's not it at all. When he was at his peak in 96 and 97 he was behind Frank Bunce who was the undisputed best centre in the world at the time and also the all blacks were red hot so there was no need for changes. Believe me if he had got an opportunity in 96 or 97 when he was at his absolute prime he would of destroyed international opposition. Something you have to remember with NZ rugby is that we have so many good players who don't even get a good crack at international rugby because of the depth of talent. Another guy in eronis situation was Todd Miller. If there had been no Christian Cullen we would be talking about Todd Miller as one of the games greatest ever fullbacks.
What a footstep story!!!God bless you Caleb may all the good years shine on your path to success on and off the rugby pitch!Hands down bruh💯.🙌from Chicago!✌
I loved watching this. He is going to be special - as a player and as a person. What a family. He is truly inspirational. And I hope we hear more of his piano playing.
I honestly think he’d make a solid centre. His ability to set up whoever it was outside him last week against the highlanders proved that. Strong in the tackle and having the ability to offload. He’s fast he’s strong and runs good lines. Hope to see him at 13 one day.
Imagine that ! Going to the library , opening up a book and see your dad wearing an all black shirt without you knowing nothing bout him playing rugby and now he’s wearing an abs shirt😍😍life works mysteriously iswear
was my favourite player in the juggernaut blues era and always felt he should have made the ab's team more often but wow he is an even better father. You can tell that he has a good relationship with his son caleb and that they talk alot together communication is the greatest tool a family can posses. Blessed truly blessed and well deserved too.
Caleb u are so gifted to have such a great dad I wish u an amazing future in rugby with the all blacks u have a god given talent it's truely amazing to watch u Enjoy the ride
Eroni Clarke was a student liaison officer when I was at Unitec in 1994. Eroni is a top man and a great footy player as well , Caleb can definitely play too!
Well done Mr Eroni Clarke.Keep yourself grounded Caleb and never forget The One who gave you and your family the gift. Many Blessings to you....An All Black in the making.
Eroni hasn't changed since the days we were running around during those Autalavou Games Uce! I'm still your biggest (oops...I mean fattest) fan! Blessings to you both, the humility apple doesn't fall far from the tree, stay safe family and prayers for your lost earlier on this year! Alofa'aga ma le Soifua Manuia xxx
One of the All Blacks I always admired here from South Africa; Eroni Clarke. He looks like a great God fearing dad as well. Caleb is a beast. He worries me ( if Boks play AB's again)
Man the talent coming up in the back line will be scary. How do you fit all that talent on the pitch especially with the 2 barrett’s , laumape, ioane, Reece and lamb just to name a few.
Even though he's soft spoken, it definitely doesn't correlate with the way he played back in the days. Eroni Clarke was anything but.... the guy was a fierce ball carrier and smashed opponents on defense. The original blockbuster! Seeing Caleb break through would be tacklers in last Sundays Bledisloe reminded me a lot of his dad during his Auckland & All Black rugby days!
Humble young man his dad taught him well.
@Ignore what I’m about to say but them poly genes

The fact that Caleb was shocked to see his dad as an All Black at school library speaks Volumes about Eroni...an excellent example of a good father.
Yeap. There is hope in humanity🙃
Dad is super proud, look at his face lookin at his son
Ignore what I’m about to say but ya dreaming

@@petermorris1898 Im here after caleb outstanding performance. Nice game tho. From Argentina.
Amazing father and son! I am sure Caleb's star will shine as brightly as his father Eroni. Thank you Clarke family for your contributions to NZ rugby!
you saw the future..
@@mactrack9685 what a great game he had. And well done AB team! :D
such a great father, some parents put so much stupid pressure on their kids. As a father you love your son unconditionally.
Never felt Eroni got all the caps he deserved in the ABs. Was one of my fave centers in the 90's. Hope Caleb does well, seems like a really well adjusted young man.
He could never produce the results at the next level

This man will become a great
Such a blessing Uso to see your son reaching so many highlights in his career. WEST AUCKLAND represents once again.🙏🏽🔥
In 96 and 97 Eroni was probably the 2nd best centre in the world behind Frank Bunce.
@@Navigator_Isle do some basic research. He was 2nd five eight.
@@Navigator_Isle because your an idiot I'll let it go but by chance do you remember a centre named Jason little. Ding ding ding dummy.
Different styles of play. But both lethal in their own right.

the young usos shows the fruits of the hardwork of the dad, from attitudes to in the field, dope maan , much love guys
Eroni is probably a bit of unsung hero in that he's not as popular as some other Auckland players but he was very good.
A superstar just like his father . Super humble super strong super fast... well done eroni & Sheila clark
Can’t wait to see Caleb playing for the mighty AB’s
