The TC-K7 cassettedeck is one of the cassettedecks I like most. This restoration job you did is very, very nice work; respect!

Thank you for recognizing my work, it was difficult because the deck was in a very bad condition.

    Fabulous work!
At the start you must have had doubts as to whether you would be successful!? Fraught with complications and the law of
    unintended consequences must have surfaced?
Respect for your patience and work!

Thank you for your appreciation. Yes, I was not satisfied for the first time after the device was assembled, except for the second time I was satisfied.

Largely overcomplicated deck. When all guts was out, few will believe this will work again.

Great work! I have a TC-229SD (essentially the same deck) with inoperative transport that needs this type of restoration..

When buying an old cassette deck to restore, I am always aware that I may not be able to get new (or 'new old stock') heads for the deck. I have a Sony TC-K61, which could do with a new record/replay head.

I prefer no music. But thank you for sharing your process. The video is very informative.

I love restoration videos. In this case however, I barely lasted about three minutes. It's been two years so I hope by this time you had invested in a proper camera mount. Too much camera movement can make some viewers dizzy. Just a feedback.

What meter lamp does this deck use and where could I get them? Thanks

I use silicone grease for plastics, and I use a Teflon-based lubricant on the metal parts

If any of my decks will sound that way I will fix it or thru out of window....

You should NEVER EVER grease solenoids , NEVER . that's electronics day one lesson . They should be completely dry and stay that way or they will over heat badly . I`ve been as tape tech for more years that i care to remember now ( because it makes me feel very old haha,) but im still bringing these old decks back to life , good work , but , keep those solenoids dry , even dielectric grease is no good in them

To bad the steps of repair are not explained. Good video otherwise.
