OMG!! The same thing happened to me. The right side was running faster than the left. When I swapped the transports, it didn't fix the problem which suggested it was something on the main board. I pulled the main board, looked for cold solder points, played with the pots.. nothing fixed it. After a few days it corrected itself. Not sure what caused it. :(

I recently found a TC-WR901ES in a thrift store and restored it by replacing the belts and pinch rollers. It has the TCM-200R4 tape transport that looks very similar to that. Can you comment on which oil you use?

Sorry, I do not think it is reasonable from a cost perspective. I am doing this deck only because the other gentleman serviced his other decks with me. But with my video, you can do it yourself now :) You don't need to use any specific tools to replace belts.

Hi, hifirulezzz. I have a lot of projects for you, to help keep your RUclips channel going strong. It would be nice if I could get you to sell or fix one or more of my tape decks. How about that, sir? Because good help is extremely hard to find, and you are my only hope. So please, help me out.
