maxell ur one of the best ferric oxid tapes ever ,being the 85 or 6 version one really good cassette with 34 years of use and still records perfect, also don´t expect that the cheapest deck records good as a good deck ,this to those who say type I cassettes are not good , and i know real crazy guys that have real expensive decks like the high-end of nakamichi in late 80´s and only use ferric oxid cassettes,as they explain are the best to do not damage the heads of the deck, but i´m not one of them ,i avoid using metal tapes because they are extremelly excessive in price but i own at least 30 from maxell and tdk, the sony was too expensive the ceramic one and the others were really bad they might sound good when you record them but a few listenings and it´s destroyd forever ,no wonder they charge less than the ux-s and ux-pro,this when they were released , the ma-xg from tdk 60 minuts 7.5€ sony ceramic 60 9.5€ ,sony xr or s 90 1.5€ this at 1990 prices ,now it´s crazy, should have bought some boxes to sell today, only bought type II boxes, regards
i try to record recentely ,some of that i bought in 85 and 89, on a pioneer ct-959 ,perfect recording after all this years and at the time i used an akai and used to re-record them at least 5 times and still sounding perfect ,and at the time i heard them almost everyday, before i used the grey UL and basf lh-extra I,regards
@@RUfromthe40s good & quality things never loose their value :-) I have recorded some of my early 80s cassettes like BASF LH EXTRA type 1 and was recorded as if it was slightly used also Sony UX-S type 2 of 1987 cassette 1st rec also that year 2nd rec in 1996 and last and for good 2019 what can i say super recording regards too :-)
@@Badassvidsz yes i do have almost every brand and type of cassette and my surprise when i re-record several good cassettes from diferent brands and the sound comes perfect ,normally cassettes that i didn´t use in the car or my firends cars, and i still own at least 20 sealed cassettes this because 3 years ago i put new belts in a pioneer ct-959 and everytime i recorded something i opened a new cassette, wich is a great sounding deck and expensive when it came out, i own other decks with calibration but this one seems perfect compared to others, and it as a superb output sound , later i bought one of those pioneer with auto ble and dolby S also the flex and at the time no one talked about it but to play cassettes it seems that all good recorded cassettes with the flex on they sound perfect, some say it´s the same as playtrim on yamahas decks but far from it ,it corrects all tapes you play there it seems that corrects the azimuth i was very surprised by this function anyone who as lots of well recorded cassettes in diferent decks ,should try this type of pioneer deck it´s the best to play cassettes, regards
because at the time there was a world of free music and with time cd recorders with enough quality to forget a lifetime of being carefull with other formats ,it was almost free a cake of 50 cds cost less than a metal tape and azureus & emule to download every music or album you couldn´t find in stores, also litle mp3 players to listen to music while at the beach ,in the car or jogging my walkman stoped in the day i spent 7.5€ in a spanish brand mp3player of music video photos and ebooks that also trasmited to the car radio this several years before the isomething (pod,just remenber it now with so many i´s), regards

I don't know if its only me but Maxell Ferric tapes have clear more open sound hence higher output. It adds up to the sound but in a good way its like having an equalizer built on the tape.

in some decks for type I not even +1 above 0 ,but in 90´s or late 80´s decks it´s usual to see the limit on +3 db(don´t understand why they call it db)

Widzę ten sam problem jak w moim RS-B705. 1:30 Lewy kanał jest nagrywany lub odtwarzany głośniej, widać to po słupkach. Nie mam niestety innego magnetofonu żeby sprawdzić, czy taśma Maxell się tak nagrywa, czy każda kaseta się tak odtwarza. Inne (stare) kasety nagrywane są równo lub również z przewagą lewego kanału. Zerknij na mój filmik i wskaźnik, stary Basf. Bias musiałem dać na minimum, bo niestety źle się nagrywała, natomiast nowe Maxell nagrywam z biasem w środkowej pozycji i jest OK. ruclips.net/video/VG58IrIR5-w/видео.html

@@DineshiKotamuro i bought one at the time and having no other needed dbx decoder or recorded with when recording with dbx this the first version of dbx they sound with high bass kick and almost any other frequencies are under that bass kick on the recording, i know a guy that bought the entire dbx system when it came ot but only a few records were released with dbx so he spent a fortune and has 4 or 5 lp´s to work with dbx and it´s perfect ,but there are more recent dbx decoders that are used mostly in studios but to home use i don´t know nothing either than the first release, regards
@@DineshiKotamuro i saw the video ,nothing shows the quality of the recording and what is connected to ,and two dual equalizers can correct the excessive bass kick but in other way ,the deck they show is much more recent than the the first technics ready to dbx recordings but also no video can show how anything sounds just the audio quality of the camera, this to do not talk of the music disco from the first alf of the 80´s wich is full of treble and as i said bass kick but i could be wrong never saw a direct drive deck with dbx at least in portugal only older ones have dbx but as i already said i don´t know much about modern dbx encoders ,regards
Technics sound missing base. I have one Technics deck in my collection and the sound is the same clear with a missing base. Akai and JVC sounds way better, and Sony is the king :) If we would not talk to Nakamichi lovers .....
To co dla jednego jest przesterowane , dla drugiego brzmi lepiej od CD czy MP3. Nie ma sensu tu polemizować na ten temat. Sam używam korektora graficznego i muszę powiedzieć, że czasami jest on bardzo przydatny. Cała muzyka odtwarzana obecnie w rozgłośniach radiowych jest specjalnie przesterowywana, bo wszystkim się wydaje, że tak jest lepiej. Osobiście uważam że to błąd, no cóż takie mamy czasy, a w takim filmie jak ten i tak całą muzykę robi mikrofon (niestety).
Wszystko SUPER Miło popatrzeć na kręcące ię rolki takiego sprzętu. .Korektory graficzne, to te z mojego snu, muzyka moich lat, najlepsza POZDRAWIAM

Great sound, I've never used Dolby C with a UR before. And I found with my Kenwood deck UR's sound best if you keep the levels under 3+.

Why twist the balance when rec calibration is intended for this? The balance must be twisted if rec cal is absent. And the bias was twisted strongly

najtaniej za 3,7zł czyli jak napisałem w tytule 1$
Też takie kasety kupowałem i tyko powie w miarę możliwie się nagrywa a posiadam 3 deki Akai GX-67 Sony TC-K 611S i Technics RS-B707
