First one that really works! I’ve tried at least a dozen videos on how to create a watercolor brush and this is by far the closest I’ve come to the real deal! Thank you for sharing your technique!
Thank You! It is nice to know that! This brush could still use some editing/ updating, but -if used with patience 😀 - i like the effect it creates! 😊
Thank you so muchhhhhhh. I struggled for watercolor effection for weeks....
Thank you, easy to follow video.
The best digital watercolour effect on You Tube or anywhere. Fabulous! Would you create a video showing the creation of a watercolour bloom/cauliflower brush? I love the effect. 😊❤
@@stephenfoster1100 Thank You very much!
I have been experimenting with the brush settings for some time now , to receate the “blooming” effect digitally, but this specific effect is a bit more difficult to achieve! 😄
But I will definitely make a video about it, once I figure it out! 😊
Thank you for your swift response Lauma. I’m looking forward to following you. I’m a granddad who thoroughly enjoy Procreate. In the past I worked with watercolour but discovered Procreate quite a few years ago. Kind regards, Stephen.
Ps. I’m looking forward to having a short autumn break in Riga on my daughter’s recommendation!
@@stephenfoster1100 I wish You a very enjoyable visit to Riga! Latvia really is very beautiful in autumn! 😊
And thank You for following and watching my videos! 😌
thank you so much! I have been so dissatisfied with attempting to get a decent watercolor effect, until this video. I have never created a brush before, but your demonstration was really easy to follow, and the result is terrific. thanks again, I've subscribed.
@@Artfully_J hey! You are very welcome! And thank You for subscribing! ☺️

I thought I heard you mention your brush set for sale. I didn’t see where. You are doing amazing work, thank you for sharing your knowledge. Bravo!
Hey! I was saying about how its not always necessary to buy the brushes, because You can easily make them Yourself!
But , maybe in the nearer future, I might make these brushes into a brush set! ☺️
Meanwhile, You can check out my channel for more free brushes! 😊
And - thank You!
It works, thanks 🎉

This Video is so helpful thank you so much for sharing! I am new to procreate and had trouble to figure out a good water brush. You made my day! ❤
You’re welcome! I also had the same problem and spent so many hours trying to understand the settings!😁
I think these settings can also be used as a base for some other water based brushes.
Enjoy! 🌷

Thank you so much for the video! I've been looking for something like this for a long time to figure out how to customize the brushes myself 😊

You’re Welcome! 😁 🌞
please make a series about teach procreat app threw tutorials step by step
wow!amazing!!
what tablet do you recommend for beginners?
Thank You very much!☺️❤️ I personally started with used bamboo drawing tablet- surface 😅, witch I plugged in the pc. And I used the free Sketchbook app, later I switched to Krita.
I think its a good start, even if You already have an experience with digital art. I made some great stuff, even though my tools were pretty cheap😀!
And only when You feel like Your art has advanced and could use a tool- tablet upgrade, I would suggest getting a tablet like Ipad or so.
Do not feel like You cant start and make great stuff, just because You cant buy the most expensive stuff out there - right away! Good luck! 🌞
Hi, I have followed this video through extremely carefully - twice, but my brush doesn't flow like water and ive matched all of the settings
hi, it turns out that there is more than one water bleed. I chose a different one and it works. Yay, thank you!
Hey! I am happy You found a solution to the problem! 😌 I would also like to give You a tip, that by applying less pressure (when drawing) and building, and pushing the “paint “ around, will create more of the watercolor feel and effect! ☺️
Enjoy ! 💫
Does it work if you don’t have an Apple Pencil? I did everything in this tutorial and it doesn’t exactly have that opaque look on the sides and it doesn’t exactly get less opaque the more I use it :(
I dont think there are much options for brush editing and usage if You are not drawing with an Apple Pencil.
Apple Pencil lets You control the pressure, and thats how You can controll how much paint is being applied (the opacity).
If You want to replicate traditional mediums in Procreate, You do need an Apple Pencil! 🙂
I have tried making this brush so many times but it doesn’t look like yours. I’ve also made your hard edge brush and it’s not the same. It doesn’t blend like yours does. Do you know where I could be going wrong?
@@zuli225 If You watched each step very carefully without skipping through anything, then You have edited it the right way.
But , I am guessing that the problem is in the way You are using it. You need to control Your pressure, when using the brushes. Also, in each video I explained how I use these brushes, so everything should be as shown in the video.
Also, are You using an Apple pencil? Because these brushes wont work without it. 😊
@@LaumaBelska Thank-you for your feed back! I actually was using a dupe, I’m currently setting up my new iPad and Apple Pencil pro, can’t wait to have another go. Thank-you again.
I don't know what I missed! Mine is so opaque and it doesn't look like water at all :(
I am guessing that You are adding alot of pressure to the pen right away, which is why Your brush strokes look opaque.
As I mentioned in the video - just like with a real watercolor- You need to build up the paint in layers, and by lightly “blending” out the brush stroke, You will see how the paint is being pushed around the canvas.
My suggestion is - If You followed every step of the video, You just need to patiently, without rushing, apply the “paint “ and pressure in layers. 😊
Why I can not find edit 😢
Hey! To start editing a brush, You just need to tap on it. To find more shapes or granes, once You have tapped on the brush, when going to the “Shape” or “Grain” settings, at the very top ( in the middle, above the image of shape or grain 😅) there should be and “Edit” option. And then You need to choose the Library option. Thats where all the original Procreate shape and grain options are stored 😊. I hope this helped!
Where did u get those pictures?😢
What pictures? :)
If You are talking about the stamp and shape forms, everything is shown in the video! 😅 Just follow carefully!
@@LaumaBelska the pictures which you import to make the shape ma’am
