- I love when my students request these reference videos. They are really passionate about learning the names of the steps. I try to include variations of names. Remember, Tap Dance is a form that is passed down from generation to generation, so depending on your teacher or what region of the world you study, maybe you know a 'brush' as a 'spank', etc. It is not wrong, it is just different! I also tried to include some of the variants of cues that my students find helpful. I am also a tutor for Dance Masters exams, and if you are studying for them, you will find this video helpful.
