Sick this is more along the lines of stuff I can do… Scott recognizing this guy makes me Feel like I’m not a failure.. all the jazz stuff I couldn’t do on Scott’s bass lessons made me feel like a failure….. I can easily play what this guy played so am I relevant?
suggestion.. scott u must do a video on Mick Karn! ive seen the fretless players video from months ago but a video dedicated to him would shed light on his music &style so perfectly coming from u guys! i think he's totally understated but his playing is so engagingly groovy & alien especially his playing with david torn(who said mick was like if bootsy was morrocan)&bozzio, yoshihiro hanno, jansen & barbieri, japan(duh) and his solo stuff esp later on like tooth mother. absolute art, his tone is one of a kind and he claims to not even know the notes on the fingerboard, often not even looking at his hands and playing by ear(true fretless lol) and was influenced by turkish music, classical, and funk, his influences include percy jones and stanley clarke. cheers 👍✌️
@@timbo7873 it's a multi scale, and it's fanned out throughout :) . The angle at which the video was shot makes it seem like it's not as fanned towards the pickups, but it is haha.
Great to see some heavy stuff getting some attention on the channel. Hats off Scott 👊
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
That tone!
Thomas is a monster player and a great dude! Glad to see him get some love!
Nice to see a range of genres
I like the tone
I have always admired people with such pick dexterity. Never got the hang of it.
Yall should try playing first fragment
Forest is one of the best bassists of all time imo. Even his stuff with beyond creation still slaps to this day.

of course you're relevant
What does being relevant matter... just play music you like. Comparison is the thief of joy.
He is like a Norse God with his Ax
i played with him a few years back!! brilliant guy deserves the love
Jesus this tone is absolute madness!
What's that tune? Can't find it.
Blinded by As I Lay Dying!
That tone is sick as fuck
Sweet bass dude!
Not my bag, but respect all the same

he was very humble. it is honestly disappointing more people don't know him
That was amazing
😮Admirable 😢
Amazing sound!
Playing bass with a pick is a skill in itself… on that note, I wonder how many picks he goes in a week? 🤔
Kinda funky
Hell yeah more heavy stuff. Be cool if you went down the path of stoner rock and doom as well 🙂
Get Scott out of his jazz fusion comfort zone haha
🤘🏽🔥
Lvl UP bro! Finally
Time foe Scott and Ian to do a MetalCore video 🤭
😅😅😅
Doesn't sound like a bad shout at all 😊
I'd watch it on repeat
You should bring the bassist from polyphia, he's a beast.
THIS SONG IS SOOO METAL IT MAKES ME WANNA HIRE A HITMAN ON MY WIFE!
Don't like the tone, HATE the overall countenance, but the playing is amazing. So precise, and that picking agility is WILD...
Countenance? 💀 bruh
@@gumbly4174 Okay, musical style.
What bass is that?
Ibanez ehb1505ms
Is it a multi scale? Seems it's only fanned out at the top of the finger board.
@@timbo7873its both ways. But less aggressive than dingwall.

I wouldn't enjoy playing with tjis tone, although it sounds great in context
I should try multiscale...
My behs looks too elegant to reach that tone :'(
The bass hit some wholes in his trousers….good sound
Blinded - As I lay Dying
🤘🏻band name?
As I Lay Dying
Pointy Earrings
He seems to be in two bands: Steel Mage and God Of Heresy.
My ears gave up pretty quickly. It started to sound like I was locked in an engineering factory.
Seems like a cover of Blinded by As I Lay Dying
Ohhh nooo u use a pick 😅😅😅
wow, such a relevant genre, and these tunnels are never like hello from 2012
Парень страшненький но ловкий😂
Check out Till from Heressiah 👌🏻
Great playing! But again the same kinda boring, standard Darkglass sound…
Using the pick.... not approuved ... checkmate
