So some clarifications for Ranked vs World Tour, re-reading stuff from Oscar. I believe this is how it will work:
*Means speculative
Ranked will have Bronze > Diamond; with the inclusion of Ruby somewhere
World Tour will have Bronze > Gold; with the exclusion of ruby.
*World Tour and Ranked more than likely will have separate ranks even though they both contain bronze > gold; seemingly these will be separate ranks. I know I got this mixed up in the video itself however I believe this is what oscar was getting at.
*World Tour and Ranked rewards could be separate as well, with world tour mostly being for multibux and World Tour Badge/Leaderboard grind. Where you cannot get ranked rewards in World Tour category.
PS: Since the form was announced on the official discord for creators to fill out, my contact that works with embark told me I am on the LIST! So I "should" have access to the Season 3 Preview Build July 11th starting at 6pm CEST / 12pm EDT / 9am PDT. I haven't livestreamed in years, but I am willing to "attempt it"😅. It might be super scuffed, but of course my pre-recorded and video based content that will follow; will keep up to its usual standards.
They haven’t though? Tournaments will now be part of the World Tour. Most people quit the game because cash out is not a good mode for a classic ranked system. So they now created a new type of system for the tournaments called World Tour. They explained it on the Discord.
If u truly have contact tell them taking tournament off ranked will kill the fucki g game I promise many players will quit if I wanted search and destroy id play rainbow not finals
Cashout IS the finals. It was fresh, new, refreshing. I hope they change their minds because I don't want them to become generic. TA is fun and all but we really need cashout to be ranked. I hope replace it to cashout again or at least they add cashout to ranked again.
Please keep the career challenges, I honestly love that so much in S2 the waiting time took too long but the satisfaction of leveling battle pass and finishing a page was omg

Currently in TA your health only regenerates to 100HP which significantly closes the gap between Light and other characters.

They could literally just add two separate rank groups for TA and CO respectfully, just like it used to be in csgo. In csgo (in cs2 hopefully as well) there were ranks for 5v5, 2v2 and also 18 player battle royale mode (which isn't in cs2 yet). And those ranking systems worked perfectly fine (unlike now).
With the way people are outraged, and with how this seemed like the obvious choice from the start, I'd be surprised if they don't just have 2 ranked modes at some point. How soon they do that is anyone's guess though.
But games require a playerbase large enough to support it. Cs has that the finals doesn’t. If cash out is gone it’ll be unfortunate since it was a fresh idea but there was a lot of bs. Last minute cash out steal sucks and there are times you can’t do a thing about it. Being griefed by another team. I would love to see cash out but in the form of team vs team like final round so it eliminates the 3rd party aspect.
@@TahsinMiah-vc3fs if the ranked cashout is gone they'll lose a good part of their overall playerbase. Getting new players is a good thing, except that won't be happening if they continue making brainlessl decisions like this. As of right now it's important to make sure that the ones who stuck around for this whole time don't leave.
@@diztinger it’s not gone entirely. Cashout is still in world tour. And they’ve said it’s to work on improving ranked for the mode. Cashout is still the main mode

Hope they don’t lose their identity, willing to see what they do, but TA shouldn’t really be the face of the game imo and I love it but Cashout has more personality and is fresh and don’t see anything like it in other games.
3 or 4 teams is what makes the finals IMO. red v blue is a bit boring.
Cashout is still available in world tour tournaments, which will even reward a multibucks. I like the new mechanics since tournament style ranked mode just impossible to ladder up solo. With all the complaints about Medium Heavies dominated ranked TA is a much more balanced gameplay without rng that everyone can hop on.

@@Mr.K.dilkington1965 The gameplay mechanic of cashout is not what Im talking about here. I can play cashout just fine. The only thing annoys me is tournament consist of 4 rounds. When you get up to plat it is impossible to rank up to diamond unless you get to the final round, every.single.time. Guess what even if you get to round 2 you are going to lose points. Not to mention you are probably matched up with a bunch of diamond players. And most of them is using recoil script too, which doesn’t help with the state of the game at all.

I'm honestly really excited for the TA as ranked and Tournaments as the World Tour. In seasons 1&2 you couldn't get me to touch ranked or tournaments with a 10 foot pole. But now I am actually excited to try out both ranked TA and the World Tour!

@Mm-zi3bjit’s not a competitive mode lmao, it’s locked loadouts and has been booted out of ranked to make room for the new focus of the game. The writing is on the wall
Something to note: the discord put out a message confirming that tournament is the focal mode of the game, however, they want to make adjustments to it and dont think they could make those adjustments with it as the main ranked mode.

I also dislike how ranked is speculated to work. In my opinion, being able to play the map and enemy teams was part of the strategy of the Finals, and getting third-partied, while not always avoidable, was something you could play around. I think removing that for straight gunplay is a bad change. Also, since TA is 5v5, it's much more difficult to get a group of friends to play with.
I want to get the ranked item rewards, but I do not enjoy Terminal Attack as a mode. I won't repeat the same stuff about bomb defusal games though. If anything, they could have made it so that ranked tournaments are all 3v3 matches to streamline the learning curve.
You cannot play around getting 3rd partied 100% of the time. You. Cannot. Do that. Sorry not sorry.

I'm also not so sure about the cashout removal from ranked. I mean yeah, I see why they move TA to ranked, but remove the other option? Maybe those world tournaments cover it, let's see. But apart from that, Finals is fun because you can play a lot of different things.

damn man, I absolutely love this game but I am so sad to see terminal attack as the new ranked mode, I feel like that mode takes out literally everything I find fun about this game. If someone asked me why I love the finals I'd say the movement, the fast pace and respawns (super rare for a comepetetive shooter these days), the long time to kill and the unique strategy required for cashout, but terminal attack literally removes all of that! You are incentivized to not engage with almost all of the game's systems! Furthermore it severely limits the viable loadouts and promotes an even more stale and boring meta as taking any risks isn't worth it when you can't respawn or get health back, it encourages the most boring and un-fun parts of the game. Furthermore, it also makes ranked have so much less comeback potential, in cashout tournaments you can go for an intentional second place, or try to just wipe the team ahead of you, or intentionally assist another team's cashout to protect your own position or to knock someone else out, there are so many ways to win and it's a big part of what made ranked so exciting, but terminal attack removes all of that, if you are losing it's nearly impossible to make any kind of comeback, and there is only 2 ways to win, meaning that any match with unbalanced teams will just be a sweep for the team which gets the better players, and unliked in tournaments where you lose one match, get knocked out then start another you have to sit there for 5 rounds getting stomped till you can play another game! I just don't understand the thought process here, sure I get that some people really liked the mode, but why make it the ONLY ranked mode? we have a lot of casual modes, why can't we have 2 ranked modes? Why force players to grind the least fun gamemode if they want a good rank or any of the skins related to rank??? I just really think this change will ruin the entire ranked experience of the game.

Knife has never been more viable. Melee has never been more viable.
They're centered around assassinating one target at a time.
Since there are no respawns or third parties, wiping out an entire team is the best feeling.

I really want faster ranked matchmaking at any time of the day cus here in India it almost takes in 10 mins to find a match in ranked which has some server issue where i get extremely high ping
they are obvisouly looking for that esport aspect, their old game modes werent good enough for that and the numbers showed. I am very excited for the R&D

You should be only allowed to use two heavies, two mediums, and one light. if they allow people to use three heavies and two heal beam mediums. ranked will be cooked. let’s not forget. The amount of mind and turrets. but they did say it did some big changes to terminal tack. let’s wait and see what kind of changes they made.

Why they didn’t think to keep cashout ranked and just add TA as a second ranked mode. So you can level up your rank on which mode you like. 🤷♂️ We should ask this to Embark so they will maybe add this idea in the season update or a futur update in the season.

The new tournaments sound really fun, communication was really bad in this. They needed longer trailer or include maybe the rewards from the tournaments.

Sorry for my english, right now i'm feeling lazy to used a translator xDDD but i think they need nerf heavy class, this one brokes the entire game, i know it's needs have a lot hp but is annoying, light class is useless. Medium it's ok. The new ranked mode, TA for me is boring. Is not bad. I like it. But i dont think TA need to be the new face of the finals that make no sense. For me the game needs attachments for weapons, secondary weapons. More casual game modes. Cashout and TA are boring because u need to wait like 25 seg after die. Is just my opinion.

If u think that tournaments was and should be the main ranked mode your below diamond , until the game has far far better balancing around the classes tournament will just be a medium and heavy party , the 5v5 while common encourages all play styles from all classes rather than just medium heal beam the heavy all day long , and honestly at this rate expect embark to add 2 new classes to the game and the 2 being based between (medium light ) and ( medium heavy ) to further encourage ranked 5v5 play styles then after that they’ll bring back cash out cuz it’ll be a variety of play styles rather than the same boring old meta alongside third partying

The reason I've been enjoying Finals is because it's so unique and different from other games but now the ranked is going to be Terminal Attack...

Got Diamond this last season loved the grind for it but I will not grind for Diamond in TA. If they remove cash out ranked I will not play this game ever again. If it's just gold that I can achieve same thing I won't play this game. I'm so upset they are ruining this game and what made it great being different from every other game. If I cared to play TA I would go play CS2 or Valorant. I took time off work just to play season 3 and now I'm just going to be uninstalling the game and never coming back.

All of us that play the finals continuously hear that the game is dying and it needs more players so even though TA isn’t my favorite I don’t fault the developers from trying to do something they think might get more people interested. I’m willing to bet the reason there isn’t ranked for both game modes is because the player base isn’t large enough to keep queue times at a reasonable level and if this potential helps bring more players in so that we can get both modes in ranked then I’m okay with the short term sacrifice. People have to remember that no one cares more and wants this product to succeed more than the developers. We want them to try new things so that this game grows and we get better content.

Cash out to me has always felt more casual due how chaotic it is with respawns.
I mainly play Powershift but I honestly bounce around to different modes in this game more than I ever had with titles that also had multiple modes of play.
Even though I main medium, I like to play around with different classes and builds.

It feels like The Finals is being pushed to TA and be another CS:GO clone. Im not saying this season is proof, and my friends and i are hoping that TA isnt what they balance everything around or that they are phasing out Cashout because thats what made the game fun. If the game is going to just become an R6 clone, i dont think it will keep much of a player base.

No new game mode, not even at least 2 new maps is insane i love the finals but thi was the season to bring alot of players back the only thing they have been doing is balancing the game and not focus on what would be good for the game. S3 looks like the end. And this is why:
1. There are no new game modes in a new season. Not to mention as fun as Power Shift. Where are the modes based on destruction or movement?
2. New season has a weak content of weapons and gadgets. It's hard to say, but it's just not impressive.
3. In a new season, they presented the long-awaited map in Japan... But in the old style, where there is nothing to destroy. Why not among the skyscrapers of Tokyo?
4. "Terminal Attack" was not removed. Even worse - now it's main ranked. No, thx.
