Loved the video. The only flaw I saw was at 4:26 you put that its 1562nm from phoenix to las vegas with a 3h 19m travel time in the crj200. Ive flown that flight in an airline in 35 min.
Great video. Cant believe how much that airport has grown since i flew GA there in the early 90's. Mostly bug smasher's back then, now it's all Biz jets.
Thanks for watching Bob! Deer Valley is still mostly GA aircraft but I would say the business jet traffic has increased recently. I shot this during Scottsdale's runway renovation so the jet traffic was a tad exaggerated.
When this video was made, Deer Valley held the crown for busiest GA airport, mainly due to the pandemic. TEB and VNY are the two airports that are widely known as being the busiest for jet traffic, and SDL is making its way up that list (came in at #4 in 2021).
I just found this. Awesome stuff. I'm glad there are many other passionate airplane junkies like me out there. Yes, the CRJ-200 info had me going "Wait... WHAT?" but then I saw the correction. It's all good! Thanks for doing this! I can't wait to see your other videos.
Hi, I'm the old guy who lives in Anthem that has contacted you in the past. This is an AWESOME video with the graphics and information you displayed. When it cools off I will come out and hopefully say hello. Best regards, Dennis Miller Anthem, AZ
Its usually on the weekends, and its usually in the early afternoon (as that is when its th busiest). However, I like to go out in the early mornings or just at sunset for some golden hour shots.
Thanks Chris! I usually pull the data from the manufacturers specs - seen here: www2.bombardier.com/Used_Aircraft/en/CRJ_Specifications.jsp However, I probably should have paid a little more attention. That range is for full flight of 50 passengers at an avg weight of 220 lbs each. I have found a couple different numbers for normal range - which fell between 1,345 nm and 1,650 nm. Thanks for point that out, I will amend in the description.
@@HometownPilot Probably just a typo but Phoenix and Las Vegas are certainly not 1562 nm away from each other. Only about 300 miles by car. That's less than an hour flight, for sure. Very cool video though!
Love this content! I can now look for some of the aircraft I used to fly…..I do question whether this airport is the busiest…Teterboro and White Plains come to mind, although White Plains is also a commerical airport (but mostly GA)
Thanks John! I appreciate you watching. What planes did you used to fly? At the time of making this video, Deer Vally (DVT) was actually the busiest GA airport in the world (2020). Since things have gotten back to normal a bit, Teterboro and Van Nuys have surpassed DVT again, however, it's still in the top 10.
Thanks! I used to fly the G4-SP for NetJets……last digits were always QS, for quarter share. Looks like the company has moved more into the GV’s and Challengers now. Best job I ever had…
yes, those are commercial airports are busier than Deer valley. However, Deer valley was the 6th busiest airport for aircraft movements (takeoffs and landings) in 2020, as well as being the busiest without commercial traffic.
Yes, thats an error unfortunately... It would almost be just as quick to drive if that was actually the case lol. I amended it in the description but here is the real flight details: 2001 Bombardier CRJ-200 Phoenix, AZ (DVT) to Las Vegas, NV (LAS) Distance: 255 nm Total Travel Time: 0h 39m
Hello there! I love this channel. I'm also totally blind, so I use screen-reading software to read the text in the comments and the description. Unfortunately, I had trouble with the first four airports at the top ten list, because they're not in English print. Is there a way you can update us with them in English? If not, perhaps you could give their call letters and in what city, country and province they are. I'd really appreciate it. Thank you.
Hi Heather - thanks for the kind words! I had left the Top 4 Busiest Airports blank due to a trivia question I was running. I have since updated the description with the missing airports, but I will leave them here as well: Sorted By Takeoffs/Landings 1. Atlanta (ATL) - 548,016 2. Chicago (ORD) - 538,211 3. Dallas / Fort Worth (DFW) - 514,702 4. Denver (DEN) - 436,971 5. Phoenix (DVT) - 402, 444 6. Charlotte (CLT) - 397,983 7. Los Angeles (LAX) - 379,364 8. Guangzhou (CAN) - 373,421 9. Shanghai (PVG) - 325,678 10. Las Vegas (LAS) - 323, 422
While TEB is historically the more busier airport, at the time of making this video, DVT (Deer Valley) was the reigning businest GA airport for aircraft movements. TEB re-gained that crown in 2021.
The title can come off a bit click-baity, however, Deer Valley was the busiest GA airport in the world in 2020: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_busiest_airports_by_aircraft_movements#2020_statistics But yes, historically, Teterboro and Van Nuys typically have higher traffic numbers than Deer Valley.
Unfortunately, it was a typo that escaped me in editing... You can almost drive there in that amount of time. I amended that in the description, but it was a 39 min flight.

Of course… I figured… I used to fly from Las Vegas to Phoenix every week so it just struck me funny. After I posted my comment I panicked a bit, too thinking “Wait, that wasn’t Las Vegas New Mexico was it?” Love the channel!
Not sure that CRJ would be able to land at Las Vegas Municipal lol. The funny thing is I spend hours making sure all the info is correct, everything looks good before posting, and somehow i missed that glaring error... Oh well. Good catch.
True! Van Nuys and Teterboro traditional have higher yearly traffic numbers... However, at the making of this video, Deer Valley was the reigning busiest GA airport (by aircraft movement). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_busiest_airports_by_aircraft_movements#2020_statistics
Man, the way you put these videos together... with the infographics, travel times, and info about the plane.. just amazing. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for watching and for the kind words. I really enjoy putting these videos together and I glad you enjoy them too.

Much appreciated! More to come next weekend.
Best airplane videos on RUclips. Always anxious for your next post. Thanks

Thank you Philip. More to come!
Ahhh, another amazing video. Keep it up, you always make my day when you post!! Have a happy labor day weekend!
Always appreciated! You have a great Labor Day Weekend as well!
Great job matching video with the ATC. Makes it so enjoyable to watch. Good work.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching.
Love the Cirrus Vision jet, such a small yet amazing aircraft.
It really is! I feel it gets a bad rap sometimes but they allow pilots to own their very own jet aircraft.
Great video. Cant believe how much that airport has grown since i flew GA there in the early 90's. Mostly bug smasher's back then, now it's all Biz jets.

I really appreciate that Jayden!

outstanding vids you are doing, keep on, great job !
Thanks for that K.H. Appreciate you taking the time to watch!
Excellent, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching! I'll have another video like this next week.
Great video once again

Thank you! Was a fun afternoon of non-stop traffic. Alway's makes my life easier lol
Van Nuys was the world's busiest GA for a very long time ⌛️
God Bless The Great State Of Arizona. Nice Video

4:28 it's like 200 nautical miles to KLAS, where is this 1562 figure coming from?
Yes, an unfortunate error that was caught after upload... you can find the updated flight details in the description. Thanks for watching Justin!
I believe Teterboro is busiest general aviation airport in the world, especially counting IFR traffic only.

DV is the busiest GA airport on the planet? I had no idea!
It was the busiest GA airport (and 6th busiest in the world) in 2020. TEB and VNY regained their positions as busiest GA airports in 2021.
👍🏼
😎
KDVT-KLAS is 209 NM, not 1562 NM.

Busier for bizjets than Teterboro? I’m not buying what you’re selling. Don’t get me wrong. Enjoyable video but questionable statistics.
