    As a 46-year-old woman, I agree with everything Eboni said 100%. She speaks from experience as a successful black woman who is 40 and single. I'm married with three children, but I have to acknowledge that I prioritized my fertility because I knew I had specific reproductive issues. My career was temporarily put on hold, but now I have the husband and children of my dreams, and my career is going exceptionally well. Eboni is an archetype of a Black woman that isn't promoted in the public. She is very relatable to a lot of Black women who are not in the spotlight but she will trigger Black women who can't relate to her. Those who can't relate to her will always claim "she's talking down to us" or "she think she's better" etc... The truth is she loves Black women, publicly in a way that we're not used to seeing. But she loves her sisters and that is why she is willing to put her business out here and take the heat in the service of others.

      @@focused313 No, I think the media has done a good job conditioning people to accept music like that as harmless. That is what I mean when I say Eboni is an unexpected archetype that many don't relate to. Today, I think a lot of young women would think the Claire Huxtable character is corny. However there are also a lot of young women who want to emulate that character, yet you don't see the CH type in the mainstream representation of Black woman culture in the US. People have a hard time hearing and accepting ideas that are not pervasive in their environment.

I think the lady is trying to express that messengers such as Ms. Ebony are powerful & have a responsibility to prep the message in a manner to where it could be received by the masses of listeners! If someone have information and concerns for the masses of black women, it should be broken down, taught and express in the best coaching way possible! I’m a Parent and life coach and there is always a risk of not breaking through with important lessons if I come across aggressive or not clear! This is for Lauren, and all other women, especially our women(black women). Start listening instead of immediately reacting to the slightest thing you perceive as negative. I grew up with women all around me in my family and I kept seeing the kinda behavior that you see from Lauren. Wanting to be heard but don’t wanna hear what’s real. It’s okay to receive constructive criticism. Eboni was 100% honest and truthful with what she was saying. You might not like that she was the one to say it, but it should come from someone like Eboni. Listen because her life experiences are valuable. You can’t start off a conversation by saying you don’t want to hear what she had to say just because you didn’t like what she said or how she said something at the beginning of the conversation. That’s counterintuitive to learning from a woman that clearly is speaking from experience.

  • @brandonlow1694
    @brandonlow1694 9 месяцев назад +13

    The “speaking down on others” or “thinking you’re better” DRAINS ME!!! Confidence is hated. Real confidence! Eboni is unbothered and unapologetic, truly! And she owns the spaces she’s in! Black women are bothered by that due to insecurities within themselves! Once again, Lauren, grown up!!

    • @DeCurtaRican
      @DeCurtaRican 7 месяцев назад

      From what I am hearing, the conversation is very much meant for Lauren because she is in denial and therefor sits among the many women who need to hear the message.
      She seems to be in denial about the s3xual market power-shift that occurs as we age past 30, as well as the fact that a marriage-minded woman needs to listen to what men think and value.
      She believes older women can compete with younger women, and it just isn’t true. Can older women be attractive to men? Absolutely. But even men know their older selves cannot compete either their younger selves physically. I looked my best at age 28!
      I’ll never look that good again. Can I still look good? Yes. Can I still look better than most men my age as I grow older? That is absolutely possible.
      Still, my older self cannot compete with my younger self. I can equalize things by accumulating resources, performing well in the workplace, staying in shape, looking as young and fit as possible, staying on top of my fashion game, and looking in the right places for the right women with the right mindset.
      Men understand this, which is partly why we gain that power over time. We accept facts and know where to concentrate our efforts because we think strategically.
      Women like Lauren don’t think that way because they are not inclined to deal in facts, data/statistics, harsh realities, and the like. They deal in feelings and emotion.
      Thats the trap!
      Griping about “message delivery” or “packaging” is just Lauren’s excuse to reject the entire message, and that is the behavior of a child, not a rational adult.
      I may not like the way someone delivers a message, but if they’re spitting facts there’s nothing I can do but make a choice to accept the facts or ignore them at my own peril.
      What I won’t do is go fragile and cloak a dispute on a false narrative to make myself feel better.
      Lauren disagrees with the facts, but she’s cloaking her disagreement in some phony narrative about delivery. If she agreed with the message and was willing to accept it, she wouldn’t be debating Eboni, she would instead be repackaging it and delivering it herself on her own terms. Instead, Lauren wants to make Eboni change her position so that she can feel better. Lauren’s position is not about facts, it’s about feelings.
      Peep game. She doesn’t like the facts!
      Lauren is an example of a woman who may want to invest in some cats or a dog, because she is likely to spend her golden years ALONE.
      She can scream about delivery and packaging all she wants to, but i also heard her try to convince Eboni that she is incorrect about dwindling marriage prospects over time.
      THAT, people, is a woman in denial.

      @Mike_M. 10 месяцев назад

      That's not true because the majority of high earning black men are in your age group, and the pool is small mainly due to these men being married with grandchildren in their 60's. Also, they're not driven, because they have the wealth already, and in autopilot, they were driven from ages 30 to 50. Also, the gap between educated black men and women is now a mere 4%, on average black men still earn more than black women even with less education, more black men are married than black women, and black men have less children than black women with 54% of black men being single and childless, blank men own the majority of black owned businesses, and black men are the fastest growing group of millionaires.

      @DeCurtaRican 7 месяцев назад +1

    Lauren was not emotionally ready to receive this message. You should never shut down and stop listening. Eboni is speaking on a higher level of family and social economic status. • @lgg7858

    The take away from this is, you cannot allow your emotions to supersede your intelligence. There are times, when a message needs to be delivered in a blunt direct way as opposed to worrying about how it’s going to be perceived once the messages is conveyed. Yes, there are a lot of triggers for black women, but in this day and age, it is time for self reflection, and sometimes you just need to listen. You may not agree with it all and to be perfectly frank, it all depends on where you are at in your life sometimes a message will not resonate with you until 10 years later. In my personal opinion you don’t know life until you are 40 and above. So 20s and 30s don’t really count except that’s the years that you will make the mistakes . But I do hope that all black women were listening to what she said about black men or just men in general. You better find out what it is that they are looking for and decide quickly if that is the route that you want to go. Men are always looking for the woman who is an accommodating and makes them feel like they are always right. I agree with everything that Ebony stated. Because I’ve experienced it and I’ve witnessed it . Get out of your feelings and receive the message. Don’t pick and choose what you want to listen to.

      KS is getting his flowers. Women like Vivica A. Fox, LisaRaye, and others are rejecting his messages because they believe they have to, but if they would listen they would see that he laid the blueprint for them too. They’re still trying to date other high-value men. They need to look at high-end professionals like doctors or lawyers. These men are still high-value but not necessarily 8-figure men. They need to date older men who are away from Hollywood.
      Halle Berry kind of got the memo. That’s why she has a dude. Janet will need to do the same. If they want younger men, it will cost them. They will have to play sugar mama to these young studs out here. Their money will be the attraction. Cher got THAT memo, as did Kris Jenner.
      Women have unrealistic expectations because they ignore or refuse to accept facts. That gets them into trouble.

    This was spot on. Deliverance is important but the message is the same. I tell younger women that they can make their career a priority but do not be closed off to the possibility of love in your 20s if you desire a family. You can get married and start off 1 baby by early 30s. If you want to remain career driven after you have kids it is important to communicate that with your spouse. There are men who will be hands on with the home and kids so you can fulfill that desire as well.

    To be fair to Eboni K Williams, there were articles and books written about this years ago, it’s not a new concept. Women traditionally got married and had kids at an early age which is still practiced around the world in many countries. Feminism told women they can hold off on that while chasing the career, degree, dating casually and when they are ready the man of their dreams will be waiting. Women soon found out it was tougher to find men on their “level” that had mutual interest. All she is pointing out there is a consequence to holding off on finding a partner if your goal is marriage.

    This is the first woman on earth I’ve ever heard giving younger women the correct advice. It’s harsh but true. Women live under the delusion that when they hit 40 they will not only find the man of their dreams but also he will be interested in her AND marry her AND she will be able to have kids and they will have kids. You have more chance of winning the lotto. The reality is you had prime years to secure that.
    Imagine if I, a man am 6”8 an in high school. I have all colleges interested in giving me scholarships and fighting for me. Imagine if I said to myself “oooo I have so many options, tell you what, I’m going to wait until I’m 40 and I’ll come back and clearly all these top colleges will still be interested in me”. As a woman who got married for the first time at age 43 and did prioritize marriage/ family in my 20s, I disagree 100% with Eboni stance on this topic. During my early years, I dated guys with the intention of marriage on my end but they were not interested in marriage. So I continued to pursue my education and career and met the right man later in life which is ok. Now, I’m looking at my mother, aunts and friends who did get married in their early 20s and every last one of them are divorced and some of them regret having kids. Don’t let society bully you into thinking that marriage and family is your only purpose on this earth and if you are dating a man who is not also prioritizing marriage/family then leave him before he turns you into a single mother. I’d rather die alone than to still die alone after getting married and having kids. That’s the other side most people won’t tell you about
