You made an excellent point. The mind determines your journey and how you see your hair. I made it a point to wear my hair to get used to seeing myself with natural hair instead of braids and extensions. This made me more comfortable with my natural hair. I am 5 yrs in, and I love my hair I can't see myself any other way.
In reference to finding a stylists, may I add going to your local cosmetology school clinic. Professional to oversee and maybe you can connect with an individual as she graduates into her own shop. I found my braider that way.
Happy New Year Mya just wanted to say my 2024 finding your channel was a great asset for me. As someone who was trying to learn more about several things you cover it felt like perfect timing. I needed to learn about length retention, head wrapping and classy styling. I already had found a leave in conditioner with chebe in it now I'm going to start using the chebe grease. So I i do have some chebe on its own but I'm going to wait to see if using the leave in conditioner and grease is enough on its own. I also just took my hair out of passion twist and was thinking of leaving my hair alone for awhile though I love passion twist. Unfortunately the hair isn't great and I usually wash it in vinegar and didn't this time and found it leaving my scalp itchy and I'm also having issues with the edge controls either they turn out caky in my hair or my scalp hates them. I decided to try out curls oil you use and the paste. I have a sensitive scalp so I should have been more careful but I didn't think these other brands would be worse than just using some JAM it was disappointing. Great answers to the questions thanks for all you do for us Black Woman who want to be confident ! natural! and a bit classy too! 🤎
So happy I found your content. I’m considering doing a Chebe journey for my hair this year. Can you give advice on using the chebe grease and the powder interchangeably? Would I use the powder when I’m not using the grease? Or can I do 6 months grease and 6 months powder? Thanks again
Happy New Year, I am using the Dara Chebe hair grease which is very moisturizing but when I washed my hair I had to wash 2 extra times to get the grease out of my hair. Also I usually wash my hair in twists but was unable to which cause extra tangling. Do I have to use a clarifying shampoo to get the Chebe out of my hair on wash day?
Hello Ms Maya, Happy New Year! How many parts would you say you have in your hair for your permanent parts? And what do you use for your hair buns, especially when you are trying to do a high bun before tying the scarf, i have noticed that using shoe laces or certain hair ties can tug on the hair especially the edges.

Thank you so much for your thorough answer to my question!
Hello Mya great questions and excellent information. I can’t wait for your head wraps. What’s your favorite deep conditioner?💜🌹
@@patriciajenkins9458 Good morning. I like the Flora and Curl molasses mask and the Briogeo don’t despair repair mask.
Thank you for sharing ❤
Hey, Mya. Thanks for sharing.
Question ❓ When will you be coming out with your head wraps and will you be doing hair accessories as well?
🙏🏾💐💜😀
I will definitely be a customer❤. Also, what is the stretchy fabric you use for your top knot?

Do you have an Amazon storefront? If not, can you make one?
Also excited to buy from your future head wrap line!
Just started Chebe….hair is soft and strong…will see how it goes…thanks!
Maya, can you tell us where you purchased your beautiful flower clip?
Happy New Year!🙏🏾

What materials are your headwraps made of, is it silk? Because can't certain fabrics dry out your hair?
She insert silk or satin scarf underneath
