Discrete Probability Distributions

This tutorial describes what discrete random variables are and gives some examples of both discrete and continuous variables. The calculations for the Expected Value E(X) for a discrete probability distribution is demonstrated, as is the variance VAR (X) and the standard deviation. This tutorial should be followed by the tutorial on the binomial distribution which is a type of discrete probability distribution.
