I Love love Secret Oktober!!! And this version is ingenious!!! Love the dreamy tune of mystique! I miss Warren on guitar too! Love Simon's raining down on me poses...so sexy! I'd die to see this and lonely in your nightmare live, seriously.
Saw this song live in Cardiff leg of the tour if you can write b sides like this that's serious talent great played it to death as it was on the other side of union of the snake I was 13 in 83 and 28 in 98 now 48 in 2018 and its still blows me away true class
I wish they had played this song last sunday here in Santiago of Chile, but...what the heck! I've never heard even LONELY IN YOUR NIGHTMARE LIVE...In 2000, they played FRIENDS OF MINE live here in Chile and I was in seventh heaven with that.
THis track is incredible. It is better on the b-side of union of snake...but still melacholic and nostaglic emotions flood me hearing it. something about le bon and his words that makes duran what they are. amazing.
i don’t know why but, most of my favorite DD songs are B-Sides. Given the fact that they’re geniuses i really think it’s made on purpose. A side for the commercial aspect and B side for the hardcore fans that know them and know what they can do and the different approaches they can make.
HUGE FAN. Duran Duran were my first concert. I was 15. I saw them in Atlanta at the Omni for the 'Sing Blue Silver' tour . It was screaming madness and I loved every minute of it. I went to the Fox Theater for the 'Big Thing' tour in early 1989. Early Duran B-Sides were absolutely fantastic. Often better than the songs on the albums. Fasten Than Light. Late Bar. Khanada. I read that Simon and Nick alone recorded and mixed 'Secret Oktober' in one 24-hour studio session. As recorded, it was brilliant, minimalist synth pop. Here it is a swirling, devilish dervish. Sexy as hell. I'm thinking the arrangement here is all Warren. As much as I love the songs they've done with Dom, I'd love to know what would have happened after they ditched that worn out tore up mess Andy Taylor and invited Warren back into the band. He brought a hell of lot. He brought them "Ordinary World." Without that they'd probably be just another Eighties nostalgia band. I often wonder what made them drop Warren. Sigh.
Adore this interpretation of Secret Oktober! Encore!! Warren really brought it to this arrangement. I must concur w/ pmflanagan1970's sentiment above. Lush ambiance....
this b side song from the union of the snake single is the first live recording with warren .andy never played it not even after the re-formation so lets get warren back in duran .this is the best i know that dom is playing on the new album {all you need to know)but we need real strings in this band .
Thank you so much 7thstranger2008 I have been a fan since 1981 and I never heard this version until you so kindly shared your gold with all of us! Thanx Jackie
Sa, don't know if you're specifically looking for this live version or just any version of the song. If it's any version, this is on the B-sides album.
The first time I got to hear DD play this in concert was during the Pop Trash tour. While the Southwestern-style of this song is nice, I prefer the original version, which I - in my post-college synth-pop band - played on my keyboards. What can I say, I'm a purist - LOL Here's hoping DD's post-Massacre album is a DD album!
I think all fans will agree that this is one of the top five songs of all time. And this version took it to a new level. Well done Warren.
THIS
Agree one of thier best.
All duran duran girl fans hate warren.
Así es y lamentablemente han terminado por sepultar todos los logros de Warren. Es una verdadera lástima.
I Love love Secret Oktober!!! And this version is ingenious!!! Love the dreamy tune of mystique! I miss Warren on guitar too! Love Simon's raining down on me poses...so sexy! I'd die to see this and lonely in your nightmare live, seriously.
Love this version - can hear it again and again!

I love the extended version of Secret Oktober - another classic gem from Duran Duran
Best song they ever made!!!!!!
Incredible performance. I used to write these lyrics in my notebook in school over and over instead of listening to the teacher.
Did yall notice some of the music is used in Still Breathing?
The guitar intro is absolutely amazing!
Mr C's guitar and Simon's 'pour some honey on me' dance..... Whoosh! 😍
Been a fan for 30 years and this is why!! Awesome.

Thank you for sharing! This has been my fave DD song for years, and this version of it is great (even with Simon hamming it up as usual!).
Great version! I like the original one very much, and that's why I got the link to this. But this version descibes Simon's relics very well.
sexy hot haunting amazing version of S.O. Love love this I never get tired of listening. Amazing warren
INCREDIBLE! BEllissimo Mucho!!!!
And smile! Butterfly. Rainbow.
I'm a huge Andy-fan, but I have to say ... great job, Warren. Love this version !

I also prefer this version of Secret Oktober. Very atmospheric, love the tempo, and when the bass kicks in at the start...Mmmm :)

Pour it on me. Hell yeah!
I need this version on MP3.
my favorite DD song
just...WOW!!! Thanx for sharing!
The tempo of this version inspires me to make a dubstep remix of this song. How amazing would that be?
Straight up!
this is beyond words , this is awesome !! i love this ! thanks warren !!! i love DD
Not a fan of Warren but I must admit he killed it!
Love the sexy rain dance
Amazing!!! So dark......
I want them to do a special tour for just b sides and rare stuff like To the shore
DD should record this longer slower temp version and release it. There are no good recordings of it anywhere. Same with New Religion.
Isso é duran duran😃
hook speakers up to a CD burner and rip CD in computer and sync to your device
it is Warren
Sa, don't know if you're specifically looking for this live version or just any version of the song. If it's any version, this is on the B-sides album.

Almost sounds like they are going to break into wicked Game by Chris Issak.

Michael Hamby It totally does

Hi 7th stranger, where exactly can I get this song online?
@psychedelicybin Let me know if you do. Just don't "over" do it. Subtlety is good with this track.
Who's playing guitar, it doesn't look Andy or Warren?
Its Warren. Bald.
Simon? I love you, but no interpretive dance, please, cupcake, okay...?
to hell with them fake duranies hahaha..they're there coz " 80's IS COOOL " but they don't really care about the music.
