Will Dragon Ball GT Have It's Chance to Shine in Sparking Zero?

- With two brand new trailers to go through, the hype's only ramping up even more for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero's release! In addition to close to a dozen characters revealed Bandai Namco also have answered a monumental question about the various modes players can expected to be included. That being that local multiplayer will in fact be featured in Sparking Zero so now anyone who wants to battle now can! With all of that said what exactly will the fate be for the original movie characters and the portion of the cast that's from Dragon Ball GT? Who else could we expect to see make their debut to the Budokai Tenkaichi series? Find out my thoughts on all of these exciting Sparking Zero announcements!!

Are you all excited for Sparking Zero! If you had the choice to give any Dragon Ball movie or GT character their own spot on the roster who would you pick? From GT my top three are General Rildo, Dr. Myuu & all of the Shadow Dragons! 🐉
I hope they add these gt characters man if they add KAKUNSA they are INCLINED to general rildo and the shadow dragons
It would be amazing to FINALLY have all of the Shadow Dragons playable after waiting for such a long time. Sparking Zero will hopefully deliver and give GT the proper amount of representation it deserves!
Gotta get GT in there. I think people over time have come to appreciate the series and especially the ss4 form, which is badass.
I’m still holding out hope Dragon Ball GT get it’s own dedicated trailer at some point to hype up Sparking Zero that much more… we need Super Saiyan 4!!
I hope they compete the offline multiplayer by lowering the effects when entering split screen mode.
Same here! I really hope that more maps are able to be implemented for the local multiplayer mode to be more fleshed out… fingers crossed Bandai Namco grants our wish!!
No. If I have to waste money on cash grab DLC for features/characters that were BASE GAME features almost 20 years ago, I won't buy it at all. And frankly everyone who does is part of the problem. Corporate greed has shown us time and time again that the only thing that works it the stick. Saying 'thank you for the scraps, Massa' is unacceptable, and it's the reason the industry is in such bad shape as a whole right now. Companies are supposed to create products to service us in exchange for our money. That's the entire point. Corporations have forgotten their place, and accepting it or making excuses for them only further enables their evil. Ask Vegeta how it felt to live on his knees.

GT characters will be in Sparking Zero. Although I doubt they will be apart of the base roster to start the game. If you look at the confirmed characters as of right now, it’s obvious that it’s taking a focus of Z and Super, as Z and Super characters make up the roster. And there is still quite a few characters from Z that are still missing, that will be obvious characters to be included. Such as the forms of Frieza, Cell, Buu, the other 3 members of the Ginyu Force, ect.
GT will be in the game at some point, just not at the start. My guess is it will be the 3rd dlc pack after Super Hero and Dragon ball Diama.
Fingers crossed that before Sparking Zero’s release we get a GT themed trailer showing off each saga. It’s not a complete Dragon Ball game without having Super Saiyan 4 properly represented!
There is an admittedly small chance that GT is being saved as a final "hype bomb" announcement in August or September, but I personally wouldn't bet on it.
I would be very happy if that turns out to be the case with Bandai Namco saving GT characters as one of the final surprises, time will most definitely tell as we get closer to Sparking Zero’s launch day. Can’t wait for the next trailer to figure out what gets revealed next!
I’m personally fine with it being DLC. Z and Super are the main focus so if it they do get added to base game then I don’t see any more than 8 characters. Also they have already stated that the story starts with Raditz and ends with the ToP so I doubt they’ll get a story. As long as I get the characters I want them I don’t really care if they are in base game or DLC.
I really hope Bandai doesn’t mess this one up… I’m praying to god that they have the common sense to put GT and Z movies in the base game.
Likewise I’m hoping that Bandai actually includes both the Z movies and Dragon Ball GT but maybe the vast majority of them could be hidden as unlockable characters as a nostalgic surprise. As long as they’re in the game in some way shape or form without having to shell out additional money then I’’d be pretty content with whichever route that might be!

Speaking of DLC, aside from Bardock and Future Gohan already being confirmed… do you think any other movie characters will make it into the base game’s roster?
@@Azure4Shore I personally don’t think we will but If we do it’ll probably only be a few (Maybe just one form for each). I’d say Z Broly LSS, Final Form Cooler and Super Janemba. I also don’t consider Bardock and Future Gohan as movie characters as they are actually part of the main continuity (Unlike the movie characters).
@MCWSam I’m holding out hope that for Broly, Cooler and Janemba they each get their full respective transformation line how they did in Budokai Tenkaichi 3. If only the most powerful forms would be considered then I suppose it’s better than none at all!
Post Character Trailer, I want to see Baby, Omega/Syn Shenron as well as SSJ4 Goku/Vegeta
I just watched the new trailer again to see if there were any fine details I could pick out… I’ll definitely be doing a video covering all of the new characters that were revealed!
@@Azure4Shore, w. I always loved it when they locked characters behind unlock conditions like Raging Blast 2 because it meant you had to earn them. Hopefully they do a similar sort of thing like they did with SSJ4 Vegeta in one of the old Gen consoles.
@MasterXeno0 I would appreciate if Sparking Zero has at least a dozen or two sets of characters that can only be unlocked from reaching a specific part of Story Mode or maybe by fulfilling specific win conditions that give the player the task of winning as an alternate character for the battle. Can’t wait to see what else gets announced next!!

All of it. As DLC. Most of everyone wants GT which is why itll never be in base game. If you want GT in a Budokai Tenkaichi base roster play BT3. Sparking Zero (BT4) is gonna have the canon timeline of Z into Super which is why we dont have any confirmation of GT or Movies cuz theyre not canon to Sparking Zero and its story. Theyll be DLC, additional content not canon to the main story
I hope that at the very least the Movie Characters end up being included as DLC if that’s what end up being the case for them. I rather have at least the most popular ones in the base game for the sake of it. I guess as long as they’re in at all I’ll be content!
Gt is overall mid but it has some things that are the absolute best in the franchise , like Ssj4 just overall.
I agree that for the most part GT is pretty mid, the fights with Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Vegeta from the Shadow Dragon saga in particular were awesome with the choreography and banter!
Gt deserves to be in base game and the constant disrespect of gt is insane
I do hope that Bandai Namco choose to include GT content in the base game and not lock it behind a DLC paywall… it would be major disrespect to all the original fans who supported the Tenkaichi series for all these years! Budokai 3 and Tenkaichi 3 will always be the two classic Dragon Ball games that I still enjoy going back to revisit!!
Yeah they shouldn't copy paste the special moves from old ones and take them directly from the series .
My expectations for most returning characters moves that are brought back is that each one has additional camera angles or feature one or two entirely new attacks that are unique to the specific character. I’m hoping some of the Z movie villains get diverse movesets that help them really stand out on the roster!

@@Azure4Shore definitely the classics like OG Broly, Coola, and Android 13. I personally love Turles and I think he’s super underrated. The OG Evil Goku with amazing Saiyan Armor. I loved how BT3 had Dr.Wheelo. What a fun character to play as
@Holtermatteson I know there’s a Japan exclusive Dragon Ball series called Super Dragon Ball Heroes that has Dr. Wheelo get a powered up version of his mechanical form… it’s interesting for a spinoff show and wish we could get an official english dub of it someday. They even have a golden form for Meta Cooler!!

I’d love a dragonball game set when Goku was taking on the red army or demon king piccolo similar in game play to Zelda
A Dragon Ball game that’s similar to the Legacy of Goku titles on the Game Boy Advance but with hidden abilities or status upgrades that the player could discover by exploring. Perhaps one day we’ll get something like that!
Got a feeling the old dbz movie characters and gt characters will be in future dlcs
I’m literally praying that somehow the Dragon Ball movie characters are either unlocked by playing through the game or are available by spending Zeni as a motivation to replay on higher difficulty levels by having a World Tournament mode like in the original Tenkaichi games!

Do you think close to all or at the very least most characters from Tenkaichi 3 will return in Sparking Zero? I hope that’s the case unless some forms are excluded for more recognizable ones to save roster space which’s understandable!

@humanman9920 I hope that Super 17 returns in Sparking Zero but maybe with a revamped moveset to make him more useful during battles and not just a damage sponge trying to gather energy for special attacks. Having a grab that’s like Android 19 & 20’s where they drain the opponents energy and health would not only fit Super 17 but help him be more fun to play as!
@@Azure4Shore Or he can just have the grab he actually did while keeping the absorbing to how it happened , they can just give more than normal amount of energy for landing the grab attack .

Did you play the original Budokai/Tenkaichi games? It's basically Dragon ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 4. But renamed Sparking Zero.
Trunks wasn't a super Sayian 2 in gt
If memory serves me, there was a brief moment where Trunks actually goes Super Saiyan 2 after having his body possessed by Baby at the start of the Baby saga!
@Azure4Shore he wasn't going super sayian 2 he was jus powering up a common mistake
I just wish that Trunks did more throughout the duration of Dragon Ball GT and got a few fights where he actually was given moments to have the focus on him like in Z. The Goku Black arc’s ending still infuriates me to this day and Future Trunks was done so incredibly dirty. He deserves to have a better ending than what he was given that leaves Trunks’ timeline in a more hopeful spot for potential storylines!
@Azure4Shore I totally agree the goku black had me could done a lot with trunks
@terralecoutain3056 what the Goku Black arc did to Trunks and his overall character development somehow stings that much harder than what Android 17 & 18 did to Future Gohan. It’s quite tough being a Dragon Ball fan while trying to make logical sense of everything in terms of continuity!
