As the use of artificial intelligence increases across insurance value chain, this panel considered how supervisory tools can be used to address emerging risks from its deployment. It considered the governance, risk management and consumer protection considerations the IAIS has been assessing as it develops its application paper on the use of artificial intelligence in the insurance sector.
