Only use premium gas and add a little Seafoam keeps my 2002 Road King in top shape.

I had to subscribe after seeing this video. I'm getting ready to pull my 2012 Wide Glide out of the garage after two years. My wife saw parts of the video and said that would make you so happy having your own garage to work on your bike. She knows me so well. Loved the video, can't wait to see more.

Sweet vid. I'm hoping to start on a 07' rk that has been setting since 2013. Tank stinks of varnish but there is no fluid in it. Probably need fuel pump etc. I was gonna get new injectors too so thanks for the link to the cleaning kit.
This one also has no keyfob so i have to deal with that as well. It also needs all new brake lines and master cylinders.

I have a 2006 Road King with EFI. Recently it cuffed and backfired occasionally. Since then the rear cylinder is not firing. I verified that there is a spark therefore I knew it was the fuel delivery problem. Due to lack of knowledge, I was not confident and comfortable where to check first. I saw your video and ready to tackle the problem my bike is having and hope to fix it. Thank you.

Great video, subscribed and liked, thanks for the link on the cleaning kit. Neighbors son died unexpectedly and mom said if you get the 08 electra glide running...you can have it. Sat since 2015. I'm in the EXACT same position you were in and the injectors are the only thing left. Was that CRC throttle body and intake cleaner? Couldn't really tell. Thanks again for a well done video

Great video Yogi. My brother just dealt with some fuel issues on a bike. Injectors were on the list of things to look at. But found a fuel line clamp had come off in the tank after replacing the fuel pump. Like that tool and injector cleaning method you used. Any info on the tool and cleaner you used? Thanks again, congrats on the 500 subs.👍

I later did a road king sitting after 3 years and it fired right up too. Difference was it had a full tank of gas and this one was mostly empty. I think that had something to do with keeping the gas from going sour as there wasnt as much oxygen in the tank. Just my thoughts

My dad has a 2001 and a 2008 Road King both have been parked since 2016. The ‘01 has as new fuel pump. I got the injector cleaner and tried it on the ‘08. Still the don’t start. I haven’t pulled the injector on the ‘01 to clean them yet.

Good to see it running. I will take 17,350 Yogi. I hear those fuel gauges are not cheap and old fuel can render them bad. Gummy, varnish or even rot from the ethanol. Hey here is one for the non science nerds. Ethanol is plant based mostly corn is used to make it just like moonshine. In fact it is moonshine minus the sugar. Methanol is crude oil based, and that stuff is lethal if ingested. Now a throwback to yesteryear... NASCAR uses Ethanol as a fuel yes that moonshine stuff. You know why they make fuel E85, so you wont drink it. Seriously if it was E100 you could drink it. Not a joke That is what the "E" stands for Ethanol 85 percent. I can only assume that it taste rather harsh. But you wont go blind not at least for the first mason jar full...LOL
Bike looks good cleaned up, and I take it that the ride back to the owner went well? We, well I like to know the updates. Maybe a Update video on some of the projects. We know Miss Piggy is doing well.
Also when is Raven sending you a T-shirt? Saw you were at 502 and she was at 487.

Yes bike ran awesome on the way back to the owner. I did record some of that ride back but forgot to tag it on. Bike is for sale and will be listed in the next day or so. I think fix the flat inside the tank and it should be good to go, we just werent going that deep on it, we just wanted to get it running and reliable again. Yes to the challenge also and were going to do a live video here in 30 more minutes to recap the challenge and promote both channels.

  • @jroberthadden

You didn't drain that nasty old gas out of the tank when you had it off the bike? If not, the owner might just have more fuel problems, later.

Owners brother siphoned it out and filled it back up with some fresh before I got the bike if I recall correctly

@@YogisCycleService I just watched your TCLOCK video.
I have to say, that's a pretty good way to inspect a bike.
Prior to reading your comment, I checked oil level, installed a new battery and removed the fuel line at the tank.
Sprayed "some cleaner" on the connection and in the tank.
Took a nail and pushed lightly on the cockpit under the tank side, and no fuel.
Put 3 gallon of gas with a little Lucas injector cleaner in it.
It started right up like it was a warm engine after 5 years !!!
Watched the oil pressure gauge, came up fine.
Ran 5 minutes perfect. Next, I'll change the oil and filter.
      one in a million.
God always watches over me a little extra than most.
      Thank you for your video(s).
      God Bless :)

And oil changed twice after the first warm . like i said it started right up
