In this video, he mentions Marvin's brother Frankie told his young wife, Jan, "Marvin will find a way to do what he always does. Marvin always finds a way to turn heaven into hell." This type of pattern is very likely related to the type of childhood Marvin had, when his father basically put him through hell on a regular basis, it seems, with with very numerous beatings. People often will somehow manage to subconsciously create situations to reproduce the feelings and conditions they experienced in childhood. It is what they are comfortable with. One way to avoid recreating bad situations is supposed to be by forgiving yourself and the person who harmed you and also to stop feeling hurt when you are thinking about or remembering the bad childhood experiences. This may be easier said than done sometimes.

I believe that a lot of Marvin's issues came from the problems that he had with his father. I think he also had issues between gospel music and secular. He needed therapy and didn't get any help for his issues. He had a beautiful young woman who, after two children, her body changed unlike Anna whose body stayed the same because she didn't give birth to her child. I'm surprised to hear all of this about Marvin, but his wife could have had plastic surgery, and she could have had a perfect body again. Also, I believe Anna turned him on to a lot of sexual weird encounters. The Gordy's messed him up and unfortunately, Marvin can't tell his side of this story. RIP Marvin. You are a legend ❤

This is what I read. Marvin said at a get together, "I think they want to take this party to the next phase,” he said. “A small intimate orgy is just what the doctor ordered.”
He didn’t participate but acted as ringleader, urging on the sexual proceedings between his hesitant, eager-to-please girlfriend, 17 years his junior, and the couple they had just met.
After, Gaye projected his joy at the event onto Hunter. He projected something else as well.
“You loved it, didn’t you,” he asked.
    “Not especially.” Jan said.
And Marvin loved his hooked, too.
