I never go to church but a friend got married in church a few months ago and I have never felt more like Mr Bean than during that ceremony. There was an occasion when the bride and groom were kneeling in front of the altar and then the priest said ”get up” and then I also stood up among the congregation for a few seconds and then I looked around and saw that noone else had stood up.
The sheer genius of this, just like a camera when in focus makes the object that is aimed at more clearer and the surrounding blurred. The same has been done with the voice of the Vicar, Mr. Bean is in focus so the voice of the Vicar is made unintelligible so that the attention is on the non-talking Mr. Bean. When one is tired and not paying attention in Church, I believe that is how the Vicar would sound as well.
