- I describe a process for engraving on concrete, cement, brick and rocks with the use of titanium dioxide. I used a the 10 watt Roly Lasermatic10 on this project.
Setting I used:
Speed - 5000 mm/m
Power - 50%
Mix I used:
1 part tio2
5 parts IPA

Great video! I've done rocks with limited success. I've never used the TIO2 on them. I have the TIO2 that I use on white tiles. I can't wait to try this out!

I used a concrete sealer, and after engraving used some white paint to highlight the etching, washed it away and resealed
nice, i was thinking of doing this with glow paint. can you show us how yours turned out.

I checked the other video you did on the brushed on TIO2 for the instructions/recipe for the spray you are using but did not see it. So is it
3 parts water
1 part glue
1 part TIO2
or
1 part TIO2
5 parts alcohol
I recommend the painted version. It's a lot less messy. And I find the results to be much better.
You just have to get a good even coating.
For the painted version I used
3 parts water
1 part Elmer's
1 part Tio2
The measurements aren't critical. Some people have said they had better results with less water.
Can it be used to mark metal?
