    To #1
    The Superior Ritual costs 3 times as much resources but repels the fog 4 times as far.
    Meaning that is both superior in name *AND* in cost effectiveness.
    If you are able to do so *ALWAYS* use the Superior Ritual.
    How far the fog actually is repelled depends on the level of the wand the staff carries.
    A staff member with a level 1 staff has 10 repelling power in the normal and 40 repelling power in the superior ritual.
    A staff member with a level 2 wand has 20 repelling power in the normal and 80 repelling power in the superior ritual.
    A staff member with a level 3 wand has 40 repelling power in the normal and 160 repelling power in the superior ritual.
    Addition:
    Higher level wands have conviction penalties.
    +5 conviction for level 1 wands turn into -5 conviction for level 2 wands and IIRC -15 conviction for level 3 wands.
    Meaning it is unwise to rush to these wands if you are not prepared to at least nullify that penalty by assigning a private bedroom for instance.
    Addition Pt 2:
    How close the fog is is influencing the conviction.
    If the fog is very close so the basic ritual is free the staff/student feels very unsafe. Meaning a hefty conviction penalty is applied.
    If the fog is in a distance of a few days the staff/students is not bothered by the fog in the slightest.
    Addition Pt 3:
    Unlock the Enchantophon with the research "Dancing the Night away" as soon as you are able to. That does not mean "as soon as you can" btw as some research are even higher priority at the very start. But you should not go into the 3rd day without it. You have no way to get recreation from the start and thus this is vitally important.
    Build these relatively numerous around school, as 1 hour of dancing is not enough to stay at level. Meaning every minute the staff or student is scheduled for recreation but is wasting by walking towards that hurts extremely much.

    I hope this game will get better over time. Currently it just feels very raw to me. I'm OK with the lack of goals, but the whole exploration / combat mechanics feels quite dull for me (comparing to ONI, for example). Also this game requires a lot of micromanaging, and there is too much downtime to implement meaningful changes in your school reasonably fast...

    • @Ic0nGaming
      @Ic0nGaming  8 месяцев назад

      Yeah as in every very Early Access there's a lot to be wished for. Right now my personal biggest critics are the lack of meaningful big milestones, consequences and maybe a bit more balancing on the combat side.
      I tried to get into ONI, but somehow never clicked for me.

    Ten Super pro tips for advance players out there [Relentless Mode]:
    1) Never build a kitchen (or cook any food, unless is for medal or slop for pets)
    2) Never plant rice or any other food crop other than Gutberry. (The food production is so bad, is like we owe them money. Hire Wolfkin, they can eat a rat's ass for all I care.)
    3) Never allow Staff/Student to eat on a dining table. They can grab the food and eat on the spot STANDING, saved travelling time=more production per day.
    4) Set consumption for all staff and student to NOT allow them to eat the fancy food unless is for Trials.

    • @williamlai29
      @williamlai29 8 месяцев назад +1

      6) Start your Void cap mushroom farm now! Build a large room with Walls on each alternate tile! The game will recognize it as a room "each" and start producing mushroom each 24h. Lock the door and only allow the ghost to enter to avoid mana drain.
      7) Hire your Necromancer today! Your Quilt maker increase your production rate by 1000%! Ban your staff/student from hauling/cutting tree/mining/repairing and cleaning. Those are for thralls!
      8) Build Foundation on each interval distance(and place a mana lantern on it) as you travel further for advance resources like Sculptor Stone and Runewood. It saves your staff from travelling back for rest(mana refill) Work them to the Death!
      9) Lock your researchers into a room called "Mage's Hermitage" and throw away the keys! It increase your research by 400%! Wolfkin can sleep on the floor and eat rat's ass(carcass stew) for breakfast!
      10) Burn your carpets and statues from the crystal you mined. They drop lots of Hallowlilly Bloom, ignium and Fibrous textile way before you can even manufacture them.

      5) MURDER

    • @williamlai29
      @williamlai29 8 месяцев назад

      YOUR "USELESS" STUDENTS! (And summon more useful one)
      ** This is especially true when you have research kindly mage grave, it gives free +10 conviction buff for each Staff/student per grave EVERYDAY. (And each grave gives sweet sweet Hallowlilly Bloom to made into beds for your staff to sleep on it)

      I think what William is trying to say is that this game at current state is "broken" as hell. Way more than ONI. The way many mechanics are implemented is that if you try to play as Devs suggest you should be playing it - it becomes very ineffective way of playing it (rooms keywords, that can be easily cheesed, health potions, etc...)

      So my wife and me haven't had a single stone/iron respawn in 40 hours gameplay time together. You have almost no issues getting enough of it, cause like you say it drops like crazy.
      But I haven't seen the stuff respawn ever around my school.

      @@Ic0nGaming You obviously did not play the game long enough to know....healing potion drops like pebbles when you mine the crystal. You get crystal everytime you repel the fog, which is every 2 days in relensless mode. In fact the ONLY potion I ever crafted are potion of recharging the rest I can get it for free....ok maybe a little Dragon fire Flask for speed running. I cleared the entire dungeon within 27 in game days. It was fun.
