Brilliant. A camera is a tool. It's the filmmaker's brain that creates the magic. That this level of magic can be made with such a small package that's always with you is pretty great! Love this! 🤘
Thanks. I’ve also been watching videos that say the main lens is significantly better than the wide or telephoto, so would it make more sense to get a third-party telephoto lens and put it on the main lens?

I often think of what people like Louis and Auguste Lumière would think if they could be transported to 2023. As creative people we are granted insurmountable opportunity with our cell phones. The fact that you could quite literally produce film and edit on one device is merely a miracle, or at least they would think so. I think this is the greatest time to be alive, and I hope we don't waste our potential , you certainly don't. Thanks Pete.
Dang Pete, this is stunning! I think we are also moving in to a new age where things like depth of field and super tight shots or lenses like 85mm won't matter as much (in a social and RUclips setting). Those creative tools and choices will still be prevalent but this shows us that different audiences consume differently and that the tools are really at the will of the shooter and not the other way around, Some complain that iPhone has the "phone" look even with log as far as depth of field, or lack there of, but I think this video shows that if the story is there, if the shots are interesting, if the color grade is on point and you are putting effort in to the shots and visuals, then you can do amazing things with a phone. This makes me want to grab my iPhone and shoot something creative! Bravo Pete, bravo! Inspiring as always.

I think what film has done for you this past year is what the phone camera has done for me. It was always hard for me to really get into photography with all the options (and expensive ones at that) there are. It took too long for me to realize that often times the best tools for the job are the ones right at our fingertips. I believe the distinction between Apple's Scary Fast event and this production is the extensive resources Apple employed, including an array of tools and a professional crew behind the scenes, which are beyond the reach of most of us and cost considerably more than an iPhone. It was hard enough to explain people why they should hire a professional, But thanks to this trend - most of us will lose our jobs.
Just because someone has a good camera (iphone15) doesn’t mean they are good at filmmaking or story telling. It’s truly an art to be able to capture perfect compositions and lighting. I really think that most people would still rather hire a professional to capture big life events.
Pete gets a lot of love, deservingly. But props to Captain Kirk who probably shot a lot of this and edits. Great Job!
Knows how to say so much without saying anything at all. Outstanding footage! Got mine today and can't wait to use it.
More of this please, loved it
Amazing video, as always. I would be really interested how much it took you to edit the video until the final result! I think nowadays it's much more important to focus on storytelling and editing than the shot itself.
At first I though “cmon!! Only 3:21 min!!??” But this is perfect !! Darnit I enjoy every second of this !! Canadian Rockies + PM = Magic
Just from having the phone for a week I’m astonished at what it has the capability of doing,. You’ve done it again Peter, inspiring as always, keep it up man!
Watching it on an iPhone 15 Pro. Truly amazing what this little device can do.
Is the pro max any different from pro if both is 15? For camera?
@@CallMeFil I am on a Max too, so I cannot really tell.
Exceptional fire scenes 👍 Surprised by the quality!!
Sending Aloha from Kauai Hawaii 🌴
Capabilities in pockets of millions yet talent ability in the mind of a few. Love you Peter and your ART!
At the start of my movie-making projects, using GoPro 11 recorded material, but this has opened my eyes to including and using my iPhone 15 Pro. Thanks for the inspiration.
The complexity and simplicity of this video was exceptional. Loved it Peter & Team. No words was perfect.
Sound design giving me goosebumps. So many little details in there.
Now diving into mobile filmmaking, I've found my saved video for inspiration, thanks Peter!
My 14 blew my mind. I ran around the city filming when I got it. I did get a jump scare when the export showed awful overexposed footage, but luckily there were tutorials on how to fix that.
no words, no BS, straight to the point. Amazing piece of work. Thank you.
I can’t believe Hollywood hasn’t called Peter to be a director of a big budget film
This an amazing opportunity! Thank you for sharing! I am experiencing my own journey y with creating content all on my iPhone too, it’s been a great experience!
Very much enjoyed that deeper, silent yet emotional way of story-telling. Very cool video!
Considering most current phone reviews are really just camera reviews, I would say this is the best way to approach the topic. Well done, Pete! Beautiful work.
Ironically the sound of this entire video is amazing. So amazing that it amplifies the quality of the video.
Couldn’t not like it. Love a classic Peter McKinnon film!
This is why I use iPhones. I need that pro touch in my photography and video
That snow is gorgeous omg 😩
