This is the biggest event in the history of competitive surfing. For the first time ever, the World Title will be decided in a one-day, winner-take-all event. The top five men and top five women enter, and after 12 must-see heats, one male and female surfer will rise from the proving ground at Lower Trestles as this year’s undisputed World Champions.

Exactly, conner coffin and morgan ciblics heat looked like elementary kids first learning how to surf compared to what felipe and italo were doing.
@@rksnote9635 replace Coffin and Cibilic with any of JJF, Griff, Kanoa and Jordy Smith and the outcome might have been different.
@@msalvs would love have have seen Jordy surf in these finals , the massive powerful carve he does !!!

Toledo doing skate slide maneuver is awesome,…. I've never seen that before. He mixes up maneuvers awesomely,….. as does Medina. Toledo is underscored. 8.5's, bullshite.

Italos first wave kinda underscored ? Looked like a 7 , maybe marking it low as it was the first wave but those turns were really solid and he surfed it with flow and power , Toledo was going for the air and they scored him high but it's so nice to watch big turns

Pois pra você ver a falta que o surf de borda faz pro Italo ainda mais com o mar nessas condições onde o Filipe quebra tudo! O Italo precisa melhorar no seu surf de borda por que só aéreos não é o suficiente pra vencer Filipe Toledo e Gabriel medina
Felipe tinha 2 notas maiores. Definitivamente não dá pra afirmar que seria diferente.
