I use this lbg with divine bleesing 5, against tempered rajang himself, it makes the fight a lot easier in a solo hunt.
When you craft Sticky 3 you make 2 every time, so when you craft with 6 in your inventory you make 4 and throw 1 away. Try going through two clips before you craft-make 6 with 3 in your inventory. The ammo will go farther as you wasted 3-4 clips worth of Sticky 3 from crafting with an even number in your inventory.

I prefer to craft stickies 1 at a time for this reason. Since you don't have a lot of them its pretty easy and this way you never waste any ammo.
You cant craft 1 at a time (I know what you mean) when they craft at x2 so I only go until I have 1 round left which is what you should do anyways, then craft all, which crafts 8 more at the use of 4 so you're back at 9 and not wasting ammo to 10. It only makes the max just like if you crafted it in you item box, it doesnt waste materials crafting, it pulls from what you have to make 9 it seems like it because the math doesnt add up but I never waste ammo.

@@MrBlainev go into your menu and choose to change your radial menu (in game not at the hub) select crafting and once you're in there go to the ammo section and select the type of ammo you want, but make sure as to set it up so If you need sticky 3 for instance, you have to be able to craft sticky 1 first so you have to put BOTH in the menu. But if you're doing something like slicing then you can put slicing in there and when you select to fill the spot it will ask you if you want one by one or craft all, choice is up to you on how efficient you are with micromanaging the screen and ammo type and to know when you have an opening to reload if you mess up on the ammo count left, or keep on shooting.
Personnally, I prefer the artillery 5 build with regular spare shot since the difference between regular and true is about a 10% higher proc rate, which isn't worth the damage loss, imo. I also run evade reload and, just a tip for those who might not know, if you mess up the reload or get interrupted, you can switch ammo mid reload to reload the desired type and you can perform an evade reload after placing a mine. My build also runs attack boost 5, agitator 5 and peak performance 3, which is active most of the time thanks to the health augment. With this, plus some trueshot, my stickies hit for about 130 and the mines for about 210.

@@gryu325 zorah head and chest alpha, zorah coil beta, nerg arms beta, brachy legs beta, spare shot charm. 10 000 V with hp augment. 3 ???/attack jewels or ideally pure attack, 1 small attack jewel, 1 flawless/ vitality, 2 flawless, 1 challenger, 2 vitality. 2 trueshot in mantles.
I think he meant he hits the cap without using bombardier food, but im not sure about that, maybe hexenwahn can clearify
All things considered, this is a really affordable set, 3 parts of nargacuga and 2 Damascus which are both avaliable early game, some fairly common jewels, and the rajang weapons aren't too bad, only one of the parts actually comes from F-rajang, and it's really easy to use. I think this might be the perfect build for people getting into sticky LBG.
All I can say is... Blackwing lbg 2 personally is my fav. 25% Affinity, rapid Pierce 2, and rapid sticky 2

@@gryu325 don't have all the decos I want yet, but narga helm and garuga alpha grieves gives piercing shot, narga chest and waist Beta and Shara gauntlet B. Crit eye 7, crit boost 2, weak exploit 3 pierce 2. Free element 1 (2?) to get 3 in the mag. Other wise deco of your choice to fill (crit boost 3 if possible :( unlike my rng for decos) I put evade reload 3 with power barrel (piercing dmg up) mainly you dance/slide (reloads 3 in to the mag) around the monsters while pelting with pierce, and use sticky 2 to KO them. Once they hit the ground, go ham with piercing also. Quite satisfying lol.
I prefer shara for stickies. Para 2 and it looks dope. Just a matter of taste.
I like the Blackwing Yian Garuga LBG too, for the Sticky2/Pierce2 double act, but honestly I've gone back to maining the Deviljo gun as I found myself mainly using Sticky against Tempered Elders.. I'll have to give this gun a go for sure.

Frostcraft crit draw greatsword makes Kirin a meme. You don't even need to charge it up. Just run around and whack it in the face, sheath, and repeat.
cool thing about evade reload if you fail to do so and have an empty clip you can wyvern blast and evade reload to load the clip

Seems bad to me, simply because it feels more like HBG instead of LBG. I love garuga weapon for that. I have a build with artillery 5 + evade window 5 and evade ext 3 - you can survive everything unless something surprises you midslide. KO's are very often and i also sloted it with exhaustion so it's kinda CC weapon. But did kushala with that easy peasy. I also have evade reload + wyvernblast countershot - super fun to use and supermobile. Feels like a real LBG.
Roll reload 2 with 2 ammo in the chamber is still the favorite sticky 3 LBG build of mine.
It is faster, and safer, than reloading on place
If you accidentally dont hit the evade button in time, even by a second, you will be stuck standing in place in a very slow reload, which is far more dangerous bc you didnt expect it, and it lasts a long time.
TheGameconomist If that happened, or if i got hit when rolling, i just swap to sticky 2, shoot once, and just swap back to sticky 3 while roll reloading.
I agree with you on this one.I compared both methods on a monster.Roll reload with art secret got it done in 25 to 30 percent less of the time it took with regular reload
If you get hit, just place a wyvernblast and then do the evade reload, since you can do it after placing the mine.
TheGameconomist And the evade button on xbox atleast isn't the same as the reload button so you shouldn't be stuck
Deviljho can go higher sticky dmg due to nature of RF sticky versus cap dmg. Rf sticky has dmg bcoz cap only on first bullet. It can go higher than sticky 3.

Nice video bud! But You know there is an option now to craft all ammo when setting up your radial menu instead of one by one right? Noticed you've been doing it in your streams and here too. Hope this helps🤙
With sticky ammo it's based on preference. Stickies are made 2 at a time, so if you craft all and have an even number then you actually lose a sticky craft. Some people like to just do 1 at a time to not potentially lose the extra bullet on each craft.

Just a side note: you can have your Radial menu craft ALL items at once instead of one at a time.
You waste ammo that way with sticky. Get 2 per can only hold 9.
@@chrisromani8109 again, leave 1 round, craft all, crafts 8 rounds. The only time you'll waste ammo (which is one round) is the very first initial mag, or you dont pay attention and run out completely and hit craft all, then it will craft 10 and lose 1. Always craft all with 1 round left in the mag.

Personal preference I guess, but I like the Garuga lbg with normal recoil on sticky 3 and dodge reload.
What exactly does focus do in this build?
Dogbeing help recharge the special ammo faster
You can also swap earplugs for divine blessing with helm and chestplus a bonus 4 evade window for evading reload

I recommend bringing mantles with partbreaker.
Don’t bother using focus 3 for the mines, it literally only shaves 10 seconds off the recharge time. You’re better off loading more attack into the build!
This looks like my type of build. AT Kirin was why i learned to use dark devourer since the stickies made that fight so easy

Although it is personal preference for what you find most comfortable, wouldn't Artillery 5 + Spare Shot be "more" bullets than Artillery 3 + TSS?
1.5x damage with 20% chance to not use a bullet is roughly 1.5 x 1.2 = 1.8x as many "bullets." 1.3x damage with a 30% chance is 1.3 x 1.3 = 1.69x as many "bullets."
So it's not much but if you're worried about running out of bullets in general then Artillery 5 is still the way to go. If you're worried about DPS specifically though, the extra TSS procs may be able to bring the DPS to about the same amount. You'll also technically get more KO opportunities since KOs are based on how many sticky 3 hit, not on how much damage they do. Overall they seem pretty close.

That's right you will get more KO's, and if you want to raise your damage output, utilize the open charm slot and consider dropping focus/special ammo.
@@TheGameconomist Yeah I made the comment then thought "Well I should do the math." And just went a bit with the flow of mind. I do like the concept behind it - I'm just not as much of a fan of the RNG aspect of SS/TSS or the fact it's locked to only the nargacuga set. I feel they should have also put it as a 4-piece bonus to the Yian Garuga armor.
Your video did open up a new avenue for Multiplayer though. I think I'll stick to Artillery secret for solo but I do like this for MP as you pointed out.
@@TheManWithNoHands Stickys have a damage cap (2x ERaw), so the advantage to the A5/SS build is that you can reach the damage cap with fewer other skills meaning more build flexibility; IE building luxury skills like Earplugs or Evade without sacrificing damage. The A3/TSS can also reach sticky cap with skills like PP and Aggi so the damage difference is negligible; giving advantage to the extra ammo. The issue is you burn all your other skill slots for damage meaning your builds are less flexible and "Comfy" overall. Phem put out a video covering the math in depth about a week ago check it out.
@@bobnewkirk7003 I saw the video, but unless you're in the guiding lands with Fortify you won't reach damage cap at A3/TSS with the Rajang LBG/HBG. With A5/SS and all relevant raw increases (charm/talon, might seed, mega demondrug, Felyne Bombardier, Attack up L, demon powder) you still won't reach cap unless you stack 64 more raw, which is insane. Agi 5, PP 3, and Atk. boost 7 still don't quite reach it, and good luck stacking all that on the same build with no charm slot. Rajang bowguns have insane amounts of raw.
With A3/TSS + Fortify and all normal relevant boosts, you still can't reach the cap even with max Agi, PP, and Atk. Boost. This is super offset by the extra shots you get and even makes it at least even in DPS, I'm just mentioning all this as a testament to the craziness of Rajang bowguns damage potential for sticky builds and because I like doing the math.

Playing sticky ammo isn't about justifying your DPS. It's about getting 8 KOs in a row for your team. Sure you can do a solo build, but it's way more satisfying and relevant to support your team. Which is also why having both para and sleep ammo is important. Throw in focus and flinch shots, and you'll constantly have meaningful activities with which to fill your time. You'll never be able to "justify your DPS" over using spreads
Yes but in this case it actually is about DPS output, bc by not needing to soften targets, or land shots on specific body parts, it is now arguably the best light bowgun ammo in the game

I've been running rajang or Shar ishvalda lbg for a while with artillery secret and I've never ran out of ammo on a hunt. I've only been running tss for Pierce since it pairs so well with it

@@meximous2259 just test in the training room so you can find out exactly what you need for cap, i think its pp 3 & attack boost 3-4 with artillery 5 & bombardier

How do you craft multiple items at once from the shortcut wheel? When I run out of flash pods I can only craft 1 at a time.
Honestly dont understand how this is your favorite sticky lbg its terrible.. so unsafe, extra 5 damage per shot compared to the shara and garuga lbg isnt worth it also with garuga and shara you can play evade reload and have minimal recoil so your dps ends up being higher because you get more stickies out in a shorter period of time
I like shara lbg because sleep as well
I think shara lbg wins as best sticky lbg cause it doesnt need free element and the build versatility is unreal plus like you said sleep and para ammo. Sleep is great for a free flinch shot on an enraged monster. Garugas honestly believe it or not is really starting to win a spot in my heart the recoil is so nice its so easy to just unload stickies on a monsters head quickly and lock them down and the poison ammo def makes up for the damage

I’m late to all this but man... how do I farm good decks I just seem to get elemental resist ones or KO gems and nothing good. I’ve done the greatest Jagras over and over but not sure where else is more optimal. Any advice would be amazing
to be honest i dont quite get why everyone uses the Raging Rajang lbg for stickies....i just use the safi aquashot which fires 2 stickies for every one ammo type. the only downside i have seen is that it doesnt have wyvernfire or spread. but if the idea is to shoot stickies it seems like that would be the way to go?
How can you not have a bunch of max potions? If you do the steamworks you should be swimming in them. I have 2500 mega potions, 1150 max potions and still have 45k fuel to use. It's a great way to get healing items, mega bombs, armor spheres and steam tickets which you can trade for just about anything at the melder.
Seems like everything I need requires a celestial ticket. You just talking about normal stuff like mega demon drug?

this is probally better because savage jho has -20% affinity so unless you can spare 7 levels of crit eye is say rajang
Primal Chaotix Personally, I’m a solo LBG/HBG player and I used dJho’s Diregun stickies to solo Scarred Yian Garuga, Gold Rath, etc. and I’ve never failed a quest, yet. Hope this helps.

I would run the yian lbg vs anything with a 3 star weakness to poison. I find poison to be superior to paralysis in mp and solo.
Depends on your burst dps. poison is good for covering any holes in how consistently you're damaging your enemy, while paralysis is best if you can suddenly put your dps into overdrive against a static target.
What you advise yo put on augments?

Why not use the shara lbg that one is good too with multi player with the sleep and para also why not make the radial craft all? Making it a lot more easier. Also you could change the chest and waist with the gold rathian for Divine blessing for more defence since you get more damage when using range

fading blossom and blackwing bowgun II are both better than this in my opinion. blossom for CC, and blackwing for having normal recoil sticky 3.

How do u craft with the radial wheel?
Push start or pause, under items and equipment tab select "customize radial menu" then quest settings and then you can select up,down,left,or right on D-PAD to start setting thing tou want to craft and use joystick to select the spot where you want it and hit A or X depending on console, then LT or RT over to the crafting tab and select what youd like to place in the spot your chose and then it will ask if you would like to craft 1, or all, choice is yours. (Make sure to have the items needed to craft in your item pouch and not in your inventory storage at base).👍

Frank Krueger makes wyvern blast recharge faster, works on hbg special ammo types as well

And that's why the nightwing lbg is better cous you put him down with sticky and swing to piersing 2 and dealing a fair ammount of damage with the right build but its a bit hard to fit in everything for that right build you have to fit artillery secret sluger wex crit boost and criteye and piercing boost i managed to fit everything exept criteye but its a decent build

Capture mons exclusive to the area that you are trying to level. I.e. Great Jagras for Forest. I leveled my Magma area fast by caping Dodo and Uragan over and over.

Go back to Camp to refill your ammo? You do know you can set your radial menu to craft ammo on the fly right? I run black wing 2 and sticky 2 only carries like 9 rounds but i can run sticky for 3 monsters without hitting a resupply just by keeping mats in my inventory to make sticky 1 and sticky 2 ammo and it literally takes less than half a second to craft a run of both while I'm healing or reloading or something. Like seriously that will change your game of you're seriously hitting up ammo boxes in between fights to restock 🤣

so is there a way to get Level 7 monster drops from the guiding lands without leveling up the zones ourselves? The melder only works for lower level drops, but the important drops from tempered Elders cant be melded ... I tried joining randoms' sessions but that was useless, and i dont have any friends who play this game to split the leveling between us ... I dont want to keep losing progress in order to level up new zones ... This is the shittiest mechanic they added in Iceborne
Join other peoples guiding lands that are level 7 but make sure to lock your regions if you dont want your progress to be changes
