    I needed a sinister, dark tone out of my Fender Telecaster, but couldn't get it with just EQ and Amp Settings. So I tuned the guitar down to C# and got amazing results. What do you think? Is this the perfect guitar tuning for the song at hand?

    C# standard, the tuning of one my original guitar favorites - Albert King. Sounds great

    First a wall, the song is bloody atmospheric, will be glad to get it on streamings. And yeah! Low tunings are not just about metal, they're about mood. My tele is always tuned in D standard cause as for me high E-string's sound is kinda annoying and sharp. And D standard is way more dreamy and smooth. C# is cool but sometimes sounds too gloomy. But in your song it's absolutely 10/10. Liked, subscribed, waiting for more great music!

      Hey, the song has been out since January. It’s called "Rise Again" by my band Shady Belle. You can find it on all streaming platforms.

    Found you on Instagram. I love your style and followed you over to RUclips. What setup are you playing through to get that full rich sound through a video? I wish you all the best in your playing career. I'm 65 and have played guitar most of my life, bands when I was young and just for myself later on. Rock guitar music seems to have die or disappeared, finding you has brought a lot of joy to see some young people delivering the goods! Keep up, big fan!

    Doesn’t downtune the actual guitar sound better than using an effect?

  • @MRxr400
    @MRxr400 Год назад +1

    ok, you can detune with the kemper, retain string tension and feel and not have guitar set up issues. the only thing that i would be driven nuts by is if i could hear the guitars natural string notes along side the detuned notes. i'd definitely need headphones or a loud enough amp to cancel. sounds really cool though.

      what's the standard tuning of a baritone? sounds like your playing one.

    • @joeyjooones
      @joeyjooones  Год назад +1

      That’s in fact an issue, you have to turn up the monitors a little louder for that. ;-) otherwise you hear weird harmonics. 😅

    Did you actually downtune the strings or used an effect?

    I don’t hear anything “sinister” about it. But it’s a great sound, and an excellent use of the Kemper. Love how you used it to influence the composition.
