Nice little drop point. Perfect size for EDC. That little gold inlay looks like a blank canvas. Like they forgot to put the logo in there or something. 🤷 Id carry it though. 😃👍🏼
Great logical explanation of the importance of a good locking mechanism. Obviously most of us know not to use a folding knife as a hammer but even when being careful in normal use a lock fail can accidentally happen and can cause a very serious cut. I’m not doing reviews for other people so I’m much more easy with how I test a locking mechanism but I really appreciate you testing knives harder than they should ever be used. If a knife passes your tests then we know it will be very resilient in normal use. I’d still suggest people test every knife they get but not with hard spine hits because the shock can damage something, I mainly just push down on the spine against something solid and I make sure there is no or minimal/normal play in the blade. I’ve had brand new knives locking mechanisms fail initially but after just a couple open and closes they are solid. Only two knives I’ve had required being opened up and gone through but I was able to get them locking up solid again.
This looks like your basic, decent sized pocket knife. Not bad, not bad at all. That little inlay is a nice touch to top it off. Knowing CJRB it's going to a sweet budget knife. Ain't no way one can go wrong on this purchase.
This knife looks pretty good! I just really wish they would step it up a little bit from AR-RPM9. I have their Prado, and the blade steel is the only thing I don’t like about it. I cut a lot of cardboard, and it just doesn’t hold up very long. Not trying to compare it to K390 or anything, I know that’s an a class far above the steel. But I even reach for something in D2 before I reach for the Prado. And I have quite a few edges on my Prado with a fixed angle so it’s not like I’m judging it by the factory edge. I love the fact that you remind us to hit the thumbs up button at the beginning of the video lol. I want to help support the channels I like, but I often forget to do it. I mainly play videos on the background at work, so most of the time, I end up having to do something and never make it to the end of the video. So the fact that means I always give you a thumbs up!
Totally agree 💯 I wish wish wish they'd do rpm9 cheap. Then offer them in 154 or s30v for a little more. Then do a premium one. Idk if they ever will. And thank you for the comments and likes man, it really helps out a ton
@@GBall_Vision exactly! I know that’s a lot to ask for a company, but it would be nice. But look at the regular Pyrite, they have like 40 versions so I won’t give up hope that this could get the same treatment. No problem man, I love your channel so I’m glad to do it! Thank you for all the hard work
Nice looking budget offering from CJRB. The insert on the handle reminds me of Case. Maybe a good spot for personalization. Pocket check: Benchmade 940 Osborne
Today I am carrying an ozark trail 2024 Xmas folder with bearings pivot, and a Kershaw Emerson CQC 10K frame lock on washers. The Kershaws got some miles on it, has seen heavy use but for a self defense style folder, it is great for EDC. I love the videos man. Always learn something new. In this video- this knife looks great but I do NOT like the shield or whatever that little tan thing is on the handle scales. Thanks for reviewing! About to buy me a CJRB this year for the first time. 🎉😂
I have a pretty gnarly scar on my right index finger from a liner lock on one of the early generation Kershaw Leeks failing on me. I fully admit I was not using the knife properly or safely so it was largely my fault. But two lessons I learned that day were 1. knife locks can fail, and 2. never ever buy a serrated knife again.
As a new model I believe that it is. The new version pyrites are still pyrites. The Prado is in the running for best, this is up there as well. The whole point of a thumbnail and title is to get people to watch the video. If it just said CJRB new knife it's cool. No one would watch that

Carrying the large sebenza. It's a good-looking cjrb knife. I slow open from time to time. 👍🏼

You think it would have looked better with something on it? Could be a spot for customization
Well thats different
Looks pretty good
At first glance it looked to me like my Acorn. Looks like a great new addition to the CJRB family.

Agreed 💯 a simple good edc
This looks nice mr. Gweg!!
Thanks brother I appreciate it
Been carrying CJRB Pyrite light thanks to your channel
Good stuff. Thanks brother. Glad you are enjoying it
Artisan Cutlery seriously needs to start doing captive pivots!
They have a nice logo and it would look great on the pivot
Today i have the full dlc griffin scout and the chavez 229 redencíon.
Nope I don't do liner locks straight junk.
Kizer Mini Roach Mini Sheepdog and a Driver Defense Splinter Fixie
Nice carry 🔥🔥

Nice review. Carrying an Al Mar Payara, unbelievable F&F for a 15 year old knife..
Nice carry 🔥
That insert on the scales is interesting. Wonder if that's for engraving initials.
I'm wondering if the knife can be purchased without it.
I doubt they did any without it sadly
Giving me trm vibes
Weekend carry, small and easy Corgi Pup. I’m in the extreme minority when it comes to pocket knives, I like a flipper and button lock.
Nothing wrong with liking what you like. Don't let anyone tell you how to spend your money brother
thank you for the kind words! the spine whacker made me nervous lmao
Hey good to see ya brother, glad you enjoyed the video. The spine whacker will do that 😂 all good here though!!

And that my brother is why I check all of them on video
Sorry. Civivi
What were your thoughts on the Karbon/Ketuo buckhorn?
Sadly I haven't checked that one out yet brother

Sorry but no way you or anyone else believe that this is the best cjrb of the year. That’s kinda click baity!

Sup, Gweg! I got my Manix XL with it's new TI scales on it today! Love it!
Btw, I changed my handle. Used to be JON_Butler. Have a good one, my man!
Ohhh shit!! I see you brother
