Bosch 10.8V / 12V battery rebuild / disassembly & replacing cells

- Rebuild of an non original (fake) 3.000mAh battery for my 10.8V / 12V Bosch tools I got from ebay some time ago. The real capacity was around 1.500mAh which was quite too low for my normal workflow. I decided to replace the 18650 cells with some 2.500mAh 18650 batterys which I obtained from an old electric bicycle to "tweak" its performance.
This is my first ever video, so leave some feedback in the comments. In case there are any open quesitons, feel free to ask!
Sorry for the background sound. I do not own a microphone at the moment to add some audio comments. This will be something to be included in future projects :)

The genuine 12V 3Ah battery is a press-fit... so good luck just sliding the cells out.
I was watching your video again did you see what power the old batteries were? any Ideal what goes 18650 batteries are in original bosch battery?, i,m starting this up as a hobby
I dig the , im delivering a pizza to your mom music
Hey nice work! I am using a Bosch 12v tool for a DIY project but I suppose the circuitry that cuts off the batteries from discharging too much must be in the tool because I doubt that PCB does that function. It looks so minimal. I hope I am wrong though!
Battery only lets the tool know it is empty. It is up to the tool to respect that.
thank you great watch can I use 3 x 3500mah cells in them?
Never tried by myself - but cells with higher capacity like 3,5Ah each should work just fine in my opinion. Just get sure all cells have equal max capacity.
Fake 3500 you mean? Why?
@jcvjcvjcvjcv no not fake ones

All the 18650 cells that come close to 3500 only have 10A discharge rate. You don't want that for powertools. Maybe for the bigger packs with two cells in parallel, but not for a single 3S pack.
@@jcvjcvjcvjcv I was wondering how many amps would be good for power tools, yeah 10A is max for the 3500 bought a couple for my vape which needs 2 but there only 10A but I only run it at 35w which the online calculator said it was ok? No expert on batts but looking to learn so any advice is good advise as you seem to know what your talking about..
I have 12v blue bosch and there is + - terminals and small far left/far right terminal (no center on drill side). Do you know whats far left/far right terminals do? So far i think far left is thermistor pin. I try to make 3d printed battery pack and im not sure if drill will work with only + - terminal and if not, how to wire thermistor/resistor.
+, -, full, empty, temperature; not in that order
Yea I'm really fighting to get mine out! That's how I ended up here
Good vid -- wondering if the cells are NI-Cad or Lithium ion ??
Hi Will, 18650 li-ion cells are used!
Rất tốt, tiếc là không xem được sớm hơn 15 ngày, tôi đã DIY, mò mẫm, cũng xong nhưng không đẹp.
Do you rebuild battery packs if we sent you one of ours? I have a set of Makita 10.8 and love the drills, they don't make batteries for them anymore.
Mario, as I live in Germany the shipping costs will not be worth the effort. Just have a look around, maybe there are some local guys that can help you out!
@@mistech2142 thank you for letting me know. I appreciate you sharing the video. Merry Christmas
Hi, mine was re cell successfully, and had 12v at the end, but bosch drill won't work, any thought?
Hey, is the working light / battery indicator working on your machine?
In this case you should check if all the metal contacts are properly bent outwards to achieve good contact to the drilling machine. On some replacement batteries (like shown in the video) I had issues with a not correct positioned pin for the temperature sensor.
@@mistech2142 yes, it works now, thanks.
The three little metal bent a bit, that's why it won't juice up
Can you reper my bettry bosch dril12v and 18v
Mình muốn mua pin này bạn có bán không may của mình bosch 12v nếu bán cách liên hệ như thế nào
